Mom Who Survived Maoist China Destroys Virginia School Board's Push for Critical Race Theory

In the ongoing crusade against critical race theory, people like this Virginia mom are essential to the fight.

Xi Van Fleet, a mother who lived through the Chinese Cultural Revolution, tore into a Virginia school board for its support of critical race theory during a meeting on Tuesday, Fox News reported.

Van Fleet, who was just 6 years old when Mao Zedong began his brutal reconstruction of Chinese culture, said during the meeting that she has been “very alarmed” by what schools in the area are teaching.

“You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors,” she continued, “and to loathe our country and our history.”

Van Fleet hit the nail on the head. With school boards not just in Virginia but nationwide promoting critical race theory, it’s safe to say that teachers aren’t being given a curriculum that teaches men and women to love their country.

“Growing up in Mao’s China, all this seems very familiar. The communist regime used the same critical theory to divide people. The only difference is they use class instead of race,” she continued.

“During the Cultural Revolution,” she said, “I witnessed students and teachers turn against each other. We changed school names to be politically correct. We were taught to denounce our heritage.

“The Red Guard destroyed anything that isn’t communist. Statues, books and anything else.”

The Cultural Revolution, which lasted 10 years from 1966 until 1976, took the lives of millions civilians, according to some estimates, and, as Van Fleet said, effectively destroyed any part of Chinese culture that didn’t support the narrative the communist regime had...

Critical Race Theory’s Marxist Roots And its existential danger to our political freedom and unalienable rights.

The expanding influence of Critical Race Theory and its Black Live Matter “praxis,” as Marxists call applied theory, has raised concerns about its incoherent pronouncements and illiberal aims. The origins of this ideology is an important question, for CRT has nothing to do with civil rights, or improving black lives or making them “matter.” It’s about increasing its practitioners’ power in our institutions in order to “fundamentally transform” the United States from a country of ordered liberty and limited government, to a “soft” despotic, intrusively regulated technocracy at best, or an illiberal socialist tyranny at worst.

CRT has its roots in Marxism, as one of the founders of BLM has bragged. And, like the Soviet version of Marxism, BLM’s growing influence over our social, educational, political, and corporate institutions––already compromised by a century of progressive ideology, itself a kissing-cousin of Marxism––is an existential danger to the Constitutional safeguards of our political freedom and unalienable rights.

The first Marxist feature is the dubious habit of thought often called the “hermeneutics of suspicion.” This intellectual grift also defines postmodernism in general, and ideological movements like poststructuralism, radical feminism, and postcolonialism, all of which are fellow travelers of Marxism.

This method of analysis assumes that the reality of all social, political, artistic, and other cultural phenomena cannot be known from the public words and actions of social and political institutions, but rather must be found in the deeper, subterranean ideologies of the power elite that runs them. This “ruling class” shapes political and institutional “discourses” and “knowledge regimes”––the “epiphenomena,” as Marxists call them–– in order to benefit their tyrannical, selfish interests by oppressing others, whom they keep imprisoned in a “false consciousness” that hides from them the true agents and causes of their...

Sen. Tom Cotton corners Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on critical race theory in the military

As we often warn, critical race theory is being slipped into schools, corporations, and the government under the umbrella of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) departments. That’s why the New York Times frames its story on the military on “diversity.” As John Noonan points out, Republicans certainly don’t oppose diversity in the military.

Well said. Speaking of hating your country because it’s racist, we noted a while back that the Navy had put Ibram X. Kendi’s “How to Be an Antiracist” on its recommended reading list for sailors, along with an equally woke selection of books. Sen. Tom Cotton addressed that with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who folded pretty quickly when pressed on the issue:

Yep.

Fact-check: True. Kendi wants an anti-racist amendment to the Constitution that would set up a federal...

Experts: 50% of Pandemic Unemployment Money Likely Stolen and Sent to Countries Like China and Russia

Criminals have had a field day filing fraudulent unemployment claims, some experts say, with much of the money ending up overseas.

Blake Hall, the CEO of ID.me, an authentication company, told Axios that over $400 billion has been paid out in fraudulent claims in the United States.

Hall estimated that as much as 50 percent of all unemployment money paid out by the government has been taken by those who had no legal claim to it.

When lockdowns and other coronavirus-related rules were imposed, businesses began to close, throwing millions of Americans out of work. Congress responded with an increase in unemployment benefits. Unemployed Americans claimed those benefits through state unemployment agencies, many of which were unable to handle the spike in applications and experienced significant technical glitches.

“Those benefits have attracted the largest cyber attack in terms of fraud in American history,” Hall said, according to KSND-TV. “The fraud rates that we’re seeing are over 10 times what we usually see at federal agencies.”

Persecution: Capitol Protesters Held in Solitary Confinement '23 Hours a Day' - 513 People Charged

A group of Republicans are thankfully starting to pay attention to the people who were arrested in the wake of the events at the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

A group of Republicans are thankfully starting to pay attention to the people who were arrested in the wake of the events at the Capitol building on January 6, 2021. As RAIR Foundation USA observed on January 9, 2021: “If citizens do not push back against these political arrests, they will only continue and get worse.”

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland dated June 7, 2021, U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Rick Scott (R-Fla.), and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) addressed the clear disparity in treatment of Capitol protesters versus Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters.

They write in part that the “potential unequal administration of justice with respect to certain protestors is particularly concerning.” There have been reports of “Stop the Steal” Rally protestors being held in solitary confinement 23 hours a day.

The Senators ask about the number of people “incarcerated for allegedly committing crimes associated with the Capitol breach,” and of those, how many “are or were placed in solitary confinement”. According to Insider, 513 people have been...

She Won Her School Board Race by Opposing Critical Race Theory

Hannah Smith ran for school board in her Texas community on a platform opposing critical race theory. Smith won, earning nearly 70% of the vote last month.

“[T]he community turnout at this election really sent a message to our district and gave us a mandate going in to say, ‘We don’t want critical race theory in our schools,'” Smith says on the “Problematic Women” podcast.

As a lawyer defending religious liberty, a wife, and a mother of four school-age children, Smith says, she was enjoying life and had plenty to keep her busy. But she felt compelled to run for school board to try to stop the agenda of critical race theory, which she says would “radically change our school district.”

Now a school board member in Southlake, Texas, just outside Dallas, Smith says she is committed to keeping far-left ideology out of classrooms.

Smith joins the show to discuss how critical race theory is making its way into more schools across the country and what her priorities are as a new school board member.

Yet Another Media Tale -- Trump Tear-Gassed Protesters For a Church Photo Op -- Collapses

That the White House violently cleared Lafayette Park at Trump's behest was treated as unquestioned truth by most corporate media. Today it was revealed as a falsehood.

For more than a year, it has been consecrated media fact that former President Donald Trump and his White House, on June 1 of last year, directed the U.S. Park Police to use tear gas against peaceful Lafayette Park protesters, all to enable a Trump photo-op in front of St. John's Church. That this happened was never presented as a possibility or likelihood but as indisputable truth. And it provoked weeks of unmitigated media outrage, presented as one of the most egregious assaults on the democratic order in decades.

This tale was so pervasive in the media landscape that it would be impossible for any one article to compile all the examples. “Peaceful Protesters Tear-Gassed To Clear Way For Trump Church Photo-Op,” read the NPR headline on June 1. The New York Times ran with: “Protesters Dispersed With Tear Gas So Trump Could Pose at Church.” CNN devoted multiple segments to venting indignation while the on-screen graphic declared: “Peaceful Protesters Near White House Tear-Gassed, Shot With Rubber Bullets So Trump Can Have Church Photo Op.”

ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos “reported” that “the administration asked police to clear peaceful protesters from the park across the White House so that the President could stage a photo op.” The Intercept published an article stating that “federal police used tear gas and rubber bullets to clear protesters from Lafayette Square in front of the White House,” all to feature a video where the first interviewee said: “to me, the way our military and police have behaved toward the protesters at the instruction of President Trump has almost been Nazi-like.”Nazi-like. This was repeated by virtually every major corporate outlet:
At a June 2 Press Conference, then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) proclaimed with anger: “last night I watched as President Trump, having gassed peaceful protesters just so he could do this photo op, then he went on to teargas priests who were...

Medical Journal Describes “Whiteness” as a Parasitic Pathology That Has No Cure

Remind me again about “systemic racism.”

A research study published in the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association describes “whiteness” as a parasitic pathology that has no cure.

Yes, really.

The article, which is entitled ‘On Having Whiteness’, was written by Dr. Donald Moss (who is white), a faculty member of both the New York Psychoanalytic Institute and the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.

Moss asserts that white people have a “particular susceptibility” to the “parasitic” condition, which he says “renders its hosts’ appetites voracious, insatiable, and perverse” and leads them to “terrorize” non-whites.

The nutty academic then frames “whiteness” as a malignant disease that can only be prevented via massive programs of re-education.

“Effective treatment consists of a combination of psychic and social-historical interventions. Such interventions can reasonably aim only to reshape Whiteness’s infiltrated appetites—to reduce their intensity, redistribute their aims, and occasionally turn those aims toward the work of reparation,” he writes.

Even then, Moss laments that there “is no guarantee against regression” and “[t]here is not yet a permanent cure.”

This kind unhinged rhetoric is also being spewed by Moss’ teaching colleagues in schools and universities across American under the guise of Critical Race Theory.

The article once again underscores how the only form of allowed “systemic racism” and discrimination that exists in the west is...
