Penn Jillette On Compassion

The following link is the story of the "Not yours to give" speech attributed to Congressman Davy Crockett. Great explanation of Jillette's point above.

Meanwhile Charlie Rangal ranted:

“Anyone who is familiar with the Bible or anything like that should know that Jesus said ‘you’re going straight to Hell‘ if you don’t treat the lesser of his brothers and sisters with compassion. He said he was hungry, you didn’t give him food stamps … He was thirsty, you didn’t purify the water … He said he was naked, you didn’t give him Social Security.”

We live in such a looking glass world that an avowed atheist understands the Sheep and the Goats better than an avowed Christian.

No, the crook, liar and tax cheat Rangel does NOT know Bible stories better than "an avowed Christian". Jesus never said take through threat of force from those that work and give the fruits of their labor to someone else. Jesus said, "YOU do this". That is addressed to individuals, not thieving senators and representatives. See the link above Oct 12, 2013, for a clear example of what is NOT Rangel's to give. His appeal, and that of so many progs is emotional, not rational. Works great too, till the money and the food runs out.

I think he meant Penn Jillette, the clearly elucidated atheist, understood it better than Charlie Racist, the obviously false Christian. I'm deeply tired of the mindless, branwashed, socialist dimwittery that tries to misrepresent the whole thing as well. Penn is right, and in more ways than he says. There is not only no joy in supporting forced "giving" (a.k.a. legalized thievery), there is no Christianity in supporting it, either.
