NRA slams Walmart's 'shameful' change to gun policies

The National Rifle Association (NRA) in a Tuesday statement slammed Walmart's changes to its gun policies as "shameful" after a mass shooting last month in one of its stores.

"It is shameful to see Walmart succumb to the pressure of the anti-gun elites. Lines at Walmart will soon be replaced by lines at other retailers who are more supportive of America’s fundamental freedoms," the statement said.

"The truth is Walmart’s actions today will not make us any safer. Rather than place the blame on the criminal, Walmart has chosen to victimize law-abiding Americans," the NRA added. "Our leaders must be willing to approach the problems of crime, violence and mental health with sincerity and honesty."

The statement follows a decision by Walmart to end handgun sales, discontinue sales on certain types types of ammunition and ask customers to not openly carrying firearms.

“We’ve also been listening to a lot of people inside and outside our company as we think about the role we can play in helping to make the country safer,” wrote Walmart Inc. President and CEO Doug McMillon in a letter to associates. “It’s clear to us that the status quo is unacceptable.”

The company will no longer sell short-barrel rifle ammunition, including .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber. It will also sell through the remaining inventory of handgun ammunition and discontinue handgun sales in Alaska, the last state where it has continued to sell handguns.

Dave Chappelle’s new politically incorrect Netflix special is being panned by “critics” yet is loved by the general public, illustrating once again how Americans are sick of being lectured by woke idiots about what they’re allowed to laugh at.

Sticks & Stones, which targets cancel culture, far-left activists and the the #MeToo movement, has a lowly 17% score on Rotten Tomatoes, where only reviews from critics are currently allowed.

However, on IMDB, where regular viewers are allowed to post their own reviews, the show has a rating of 8.5 out of 10.

Rotten Tomatoes initially gave the show a 0% rating in an apparent attempt to derail any momentum.

BREAKING, Trump to Divert Billions to Build Miles of New Border Wall

President Trump is moving forward with plans to divert $3.6 billion in military construction funds to build miles of new border wall, The Hill reports:

Defense Secretary Mark Esper called congressional leaders, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), on Tuesday to detail the decision to reprogram the money away from military construction projects and to the border.

Schumer, who has projects in his home state that will be impacted, panned the decision as a “slap in the face” to members of the military.

“The president is trying to usurp Congress’s exclusive power of the purse and loot vital funds from our military. Robbing the Defense Department of much- needed funds is an affront to our service members and Congress will strongly oppose any funds for new wall construction,” he added.

Pelosi told House Democrats on a caucus-wide conference call on Tuesday that Esper also informed her of the move earlier in the day, according to a call participant.

“Canceling military construction projects at home and abroad will undermine our national security and the quality of life and morale of our troops, making America less secure,” Pelosi said later in a public statement.
