Treason? Obama environmental deal with China treasonous
President Barack Obama's agreement with the Chinese on
Wednesday -- that the two nations will work to cut down on their greenhouse gas emissions -- is being praised by the so-called environmentalists and Obama's leftist supporters within U.S. newsrooms, but many observers believes it borders on treasonous behavior on the part of America's Commander in Chief.
While most news reporters are using words such as "historic" to describe the agreement while failing to tell Americans what exactly the U.S.-China deal entails. The fact that it commits Americans to an agenda they would otherwise oppose appears to be another example of liberal-left, elitist arrogance.
“This unrealistic plan, that the president would dump on his successor, would ensure higher utility rates and far fewer jobs,” said the next leader of the U.S. Senate. "The United States' goal to cut emissions by up to 28 percent by 2025 is given equal footing with China claiming its emissions would hit a peak by 2030 and not go higher? What the hell kind of deal is that," said GOP political strategist Michael Baker.
The deal, in essence, is that American businesses and individuals will cut carbon emissions between "26 percent and 28 percent below 2005 levels by 2025," according to the Obama White House, while the Chinese pledge that its emissions of Earth-warming gases would peak by 2030. "It's like having a nuclear arms deal in which the U.S. reduces its nuclear arsenal in 11 years while China agrees to only increase its own arsenal of weapons for 15 years," said Burt LeGrande, a former U.S. intelligence officer who currently lectures on asymmetrical warfare and counterintelligence.
In a joint press conference with China's President Xi Jinping, Obama used the word "historic" repeatedly as he described only a few of the details of the de facto treaty proposal and what the world can expect as a result of the two nations' emissions pact. Drunk Illegal Alien Kills Toddler in Front of Ice Cream Truck in California
On Sunday, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers arrested Adolfo Balbuena, 18, after he reportedly ran off the road and plowed into a group of people, including several children, waiting in line outside an ice cream truck in Porterville.Balbuena crashed his 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo through a fence, slamming into the truck, knocking the pedestrians to the pavement along a driveway on Tyler Avenue, according to police.
The Mexican national then threw his vehicle into reverse and fled the scene, leaving behind twisted and bloodied bodies. He was arrested at a nearby residence within an hour.
3-year-old Angeles Moreno was transported to Kaweah Delta Regional Medical Center in Visalia, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
