New York’s, Fulton County Sheriff, has begun urging citizens of his county to defy state legislators and refuse to comply with a law that he believes infringes on their constitutional right to bear arms. Sheriff Thomas Lorey was one of the first in the state to volunteer to take part in a pilot gun registration program create by the 2013’s SAFE Act, passed in the wake of the mass murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
