Relocating your facility overseas to take advantage of cheap labor is an expensive, difficult and sometimes impossible task. Rather than force companies in the United States to decide between that scenario and employing Americans, the “president” has a better idea. Why not just import those same foreign workers into the United States at the same low wage and put them to work at the same company here? It’s like foreign outsourcing in place.
The company doesn’t have to spend any money on their facilities or relocation, there is no business interruption and they still get the benefit of the cheap foreign labor. The only down side is that Americans lose their jobs but he and the socialist Democrats have already proven they couldn’t care less about the American workers. This is Obama’s middle class economics at work and it means the middle class doesn’t work, in fact, it’s going to disappear.
We know that the Republicans in Congress would never approve such a naked exploitation of the American people so Obama’s going to once again opt for the route of dictator. In a speech on Monday at the Gaylord National Convention Center in Maryland, Obama made the announcement to a gathering of his corporate cronies. He characterized it as benefiting “hundreds of thousands” of new guest workers. They would benefit by knocking hundreds of thousands of Americans out of their jobs, but once again, we need not get bogged down in the details. Our Dear Leader has spoken.
Obama told his comrades, “My administration is going to reform the L-1B visa category, which allows corporations to temporarily move workers from a foreign office to a U.S. office in a faster, simpler way. And this could benefit hundreds of thousands of non-immigrant workers and their employers.” Any reform in this guy’s hands is a very dangerous undertaking for our nation.
L-1B visas are supposedly intended to encourage foreign companies to import uniquely skilled labor to the U.S. for a period of up to seven years, provided the employees are...

Bipartisan bill would repeal Patriot Act, cut down American surveillance

House lawmakers Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) are co-sponsoring bill H.R.1466, which was introduced on Tuesday and would repeal the 2001 Patriot Act, limit powers of the FISA Amendments Act, and prohibit retaliation against federal national security whistleblowers, according to The Hill.

“The Patriot Act contains many provisions that violate the Fourth Amendment and have led to a dramatic expansion of our domestic surveillance state,” said Rep. Massie in a statement. "Our Founding Fathers fought and died to stop the kind of warrantless spying and searches that the Patriot Act and the FISA Amendments Act authorize. It is long past time to repeal the Patriot Act and reassert the constitutional rights of...
