University Expels 2, Suspends 1 Accused of Lying About 'Racial Attack'

Two New York college students were expelled and a third was suspended for two years after they allegedly lied about a supposed racially motivated incident aboard an Albany bus, the university's president said Thursday.

The expulsions and suspension comes one day after State University of New York at Albany students Ariel Agudio, Asha Burwell and Alexis Briggs, all 20 years old, pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of assault and falsely reporting an incident.

Germany Looks To Prosecute Cologne New Year’s Attacks Whistleblowers

German officials are seeking to charge whistleblowers who leaked documents proving a cover up of the now infamous New Year’s Eve sex attacks in Cologne.

The Green-Socialist coalition government in the region of North Rhine-Westphalia are not at all amused by whistleblowers who leaked documents that showed police tampering with witness reports from the New Years Eve sex attacks last month. The red-green coalition, as it’s known, has said they will launch an investigation in order to out the “moles” in their office by questioning the various media sources who broke the story Express.de reports.

The ruling parties say that the documents were disclosed unlawfully and that the information contained within them was classified. The parties have already submitted a formal request to the Parliament President (herself a member of the Socialist Party or SPD) for information regarding an investigation into the matter on Wednesday.

Guccifer Allegations Could be Significant for Clinton FBI Probe, Say Former U.S. Prosecutors

Romanian hacker Guccifer’s claims that he hacked into Hillary Clinton’s private email server could bolster a potential criminal case against Clinton for mishandling classified information, according to former U.S. prosecutors.

“The question is if a guy like that can [hack into] it, who else did it?” said Joseph diGenova, former U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C.

Matthew Whitaker, former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, said the hacker’s allegations would “confirm what most people have believed to be true, which was that this email server was not secured like you would expect it to be. That it was opened and had been looked at by at least people who don’t have American interests at heart.”

Guccifer, whose real name is Marcel Lehel Lazar, was extradited to the United States in March. He is charged with breaching the email accounts of a number of political figures, including long-time Clinton advisor Sidney Blumenthal.
