A local Army veteran is accusing Sen. Al Franken of groping her in December 2003 while she was deployed in Kuwait.
Stephanie Kemplin, 41, of Maineville, told CNN that the Minnesota Democrat cupped her breast during a photo op while he was on a tour for nonprofit United Service Organizations. USO provides live entertainments, such as comedians and musicians, for the U.S. Armed Force.
This is the second person to accuse Franken of this type of behavior while he was on a USO tour.
Kemplin said she was “embarrassed” immediately after the incident. The veteran said she was serving in the Middle East during the Iraq War when she met Franken, who was visiting troops as a comedian and writer. She got in line to take a photo with him.
“When he put his arm around me, he groped my right breast. He kept his hand all the way over on my breast,” Kemplin said in an interview with CNN. “I’ve never had a man put their arm around me and then cup my breast. So he was holding my breast on the side.”
She said Franken cupped her breast for five to 10 seconds — long enough to know it wasn’t an accident.
“I remember clenching up and how you just feel yourself flushed,” she said. “And I remember thinking — is he going to move his hand? Was it an accident? Was he going to move his hand? He never moved his hand. It was long enough that he should have known if it was an accident. I’m very confident saying that.”
A spokesman for Franken said he “remains fully committed to cooperating with the ethics investigation.” He has been accused of sexual misconduct by at least...

NFL BANKROLLS THE RESISTANCE TO TRUMP
A $100 million fund to appease America-hating players while sticking the knife in patriotic fans.
The dying National Football League is choosing its America-hating, national anthem-protesting multimillionaire players over patriotic sports fans by funneling close to $100 million to leftist charities like those founded by admitted communist Van Jones.
The corrosive fairy tale, embraced by professional football, that police use black Americans for target practice is malicious nonsense but it is a useful lie, good for direct-mail campaigns and MoveOn solicitations.
With this new initiative, NFL Commissar Roger Goodell is affirming for the umpteenth time that it is in the business of virtue-signaling and indoctrination, not football. In addition, the NFL is embracing Black Lives Matter and Antifa as partners in the Left’s fundamental transformation of America.
Even without this money, the financial outlook for left-wing advocacy groups was already sunny, especially after depraved currency speculator George Soros shifted $18 billion of his personal fortune to his Open Society Foundations philanthropy in October. If you’re involved in the world of liberal-progressive nonprofit advocacy, life is good, and getting better by the day.
The money raised by the NFL will go to organizations promoting what ESPN calls “social justice change.” In today’s political climate, that suggests terroristic Black Lives Matter and Antifa-related groups will get a good chunk of the cash. And if somehow you’re still an NFL fan after the league has done everything it can to...

Newt Gingrich: President Trump is decisively reining in the left
Since President Donald Trump took office, he has been consistently strategic in working to dismantle the radical, leftwing legacy of his predecessor.
While the mainstream media has fixated on exaggerated day-to-day mini-controversies, the Trump Administration has methodically eliminated job-killing Obama-era regulations, filled judicial vacancies with solid conservatives at an astonishing pace, and accomplished real breakthroughs in trade relations with China and the Middle East.
Now, the President is going after another Obama-era creation: the dangerously unaccountable Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
Long time readers of this newsletter know that I have opposed the CFPB on constitutional and economic grounds for years. I’ve written about the agency’s mafia-like tactics as well as the threat its behavior poses to the rule of law. I have even testified before Congress about the danger this agency poses.
This CFPB was created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act and was largely designed by radical Senator Elizabeth Warren when she was an Obama advisor. Since the beginning, it has been used as a political weapon by the far Left as a way to intimidate businesses that the Left opposes ideologically.
The CFPB consistently oversteps its bounds. It is prohibited from regulating car deals, yet it does so anyway. It is prohibited from collecting personal data from consumers, yet it does so at a...
