Judge Accuses State Department of Making ‘False Statements’ on Clinton Emails

State Department officials opposed to disclosing more of Hillary Clinton’s emails as secretary of state made “false statements” and filed “false affidavits” in a related lawsuit, a federal judge said during a court hearing in Washington earlier this month.

U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth ordered the hearing after a legal watchdog asked the court to obtain testimony under oath from current and former State Department officials, including Clinton and former aide Cheryl Mills.

If Lamberth agrees with Judicial Watch, Clinton and others would have to testify under oath and answer questions about how the department processed the organization’s Freedom of Information Act requests, and how it conducted its search for emails Clinton sent and received over a private email server.

Mills was Clinton’s chief of staff and counselor when she was secretary of state from Jan. 21, 2009, to Jan. 31, 2013, and worked on her presidential campaigns.

The State Department had asked Lamberth to issue a summary judgment that would have closed the case and ended any more inquiries into Clinton emails that have not been disclosed.

The judge refused and explained during the Oct. 12 hearing why he had granted limited discovery of relevant facts in March 2016:

Florida Democrat, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, has been caught accepting bribes from two undercover FBI agents.According to a bombshell trove of newly discovered records, Gillum accepted Broadway show tickets from the agents investigating city corruption, one of whom was posing as a developer.

During a 2016 trip to New York City to see the musical Hamilton, Gillum also allowed the agents - who were claiming to be "looking for a dirty deal in the city" - pay for his luxury hotel room.The release of the records raises new questions just two weeks before the Nov. 6 election for Florida governor as Gillum prepares to go up against Republican Ron DeSantis.

They appear to contradict Gillum's explanation for the expenses, which have been made a major issue by his Republican rival, Ron DeSantis.Gillum's campaign has maintained — and continued to do so Tuesday after the records were released — that Gillum's brother, Marcus, handed him the ticket the night of the show. But text messages at the time of the trip show Gillum was told the tickets came from "Mike Miller," an FBI agent looking into city corruption who was posing as a developer."Mike Miller and the crew have tickets for us for Hamilton tonight at 8 p.m.," Corey texted Gillum on Aug. 10, 2016.

"Awesome news about Hamilton," Gillum replied, according to the records.The campaign has not said how Marcus Gillum, who lives in Chicago, came by such a sought-after Broadway ticket, or whether Andrew Gillum asked...

Actor James Woods called the “potential explosive devices” that the Secret Service intercepted from Bill and Hillary Clinton’s home an “obvious political stunt.”

In a now-deleted tweet, the actor, 71, took to Twitter to tell his 1.8 million followers that the former first family is not relevant enough to send a bomb.

“Who gives a rat’s (expletive) about the #Clintons enough to do this? Obvious political stunt,” Woods tweeted Wednesday. His post referenced a tweet from the Associated Press that said an potential explosive device was found at Bill and Hillary Clinton’s home in suburban New York.

Woods appeared to walk back his “political stunt” claim with another tweet that remains on his Twitter account...

The Wisconsin progressive activist who harassed Republican lawmakers while riding a Segway has been arrested and charged with attempting to possess radioactive material “with intent to kill.”

TMJ4 reports 30-year-old Jeremy Ryan, subbed “Segway Boy,” “attempted to buy the lethal dose in March and October of 2018.”

It’s not clear why he wasn’t arrested for the March attempt.

Following Ryan’s arrest in Black Earth, WI, a search warrant was executed at his residence in Madison by FBI Milwaukee and FBI Chicago’s Hazardous Evidence Response Team. There is no danger to the public associated with these enforcement actions.

In 2016, he was arrested on drug charges, according to Watchdog.org.

Jeremy J. Ryan, 28, of Madison, was arrested on three felony counts of manufacturing and delivering marijuana and one felony count of maintaining a drug operation, according to court records.

Ryan was officially charged on Wednesday, according to the Dane County District Attorney’s office, and was scheduled to make his initial court appearance Thursday.

“In June 2015, the professional protester was among six Capitol demonstrators awarded a combined $45,000 in damages for the ’emotional distress, loss of liberty and damage to reputation’ they apparently suffered” related to protesting Gov. Scott Walker’s budget solutions, according to the news site.

Ryan tried to mount a campaign against U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan in 2012 but failed.
