CBS, CNN polls report stunning approval ratings for Trump’s SOTU speech: ‘Incredible,’ ‘stirring,’ ‘inspiring,’ ‘genuinely moving’ …

President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday evening garnered a stunning amount of bipartisan approval and praise both during and after the event.

According to an “instant poll” conducted by CBS News following the event, a 76 percent majority of Americans who tuned in for the speech approved of the president’s message.

This included 97 percent of Republican viewers, 82 percent of Independent viewers and 30 percent of Democrat viewers. Note that the viewership tilted slightly to the right, with 43 percent of viewers being Republicans and 30 and 24 percent being Independents and Democrats, respectively.

While impressive, these post-SOTU address numbers only tell a part of the story. Far more notable is the markedly positive reaction the president’s words triggered as he spoke.

Watch below as a contingent of Democrat women dressed in white — many of them members of the antisemitic Women’s March — jumped to their feet in applause and even chanted “USA” as the president celebrated the record levels of female employment seen under his administration:

As conservative commentator Katie Pavlich noted on Twitter, “And there is your moment of unity. Trump got members of the Women’s March to loudly applaud his speech. This is actually incredible. And now they’re chanting USA! USA! #SOTU”

Incredible indeed.

She wasn’t the only one to take note of the surprising amount of applause Trump provoked. Nor was this the only moment that spurred loud clapping from both sides:

There were clearly differences of opinion on some issues, but I have not seen a SOTU in recent years when the opposition applauded to the degree it did tonight.

Trump has succeeded in getting more Democratic applause than I expected with some of his bipartisan talk, especially about women

The president and his speechwriters have accomplished something remarkable here tonight — striking several themes that have drawn applause from both sides of the chamber. That is not unusual for a state of the union, but it is unusual for this President.

Nice to see Republicans and Democrats jointly rise and cheer Trump's call to protect people with pre-existing conditions at a time when the parties probably couldn't be farther apart on what to do with the health system.

That Alice Johnson moment drew legitimate applause and emotional reaction from both sides of the aisle, as Johnson stood wiping away tears.

Big, bipartisan applause tonight for:

-Bringing down drug costs
-Recognizing new Venezuelan leader
-More women in workforce/Congress
-Paid family leave
-Governing as 1 nation
-Made in USA manufacturing
-First Step Act
-More $$$ for cancer research

Strong speech by @realDonaldTrump thus far at . They said he would call for unity and, while there are issues that definitely divide, he is touching on many shared themes. Amazing that he got GOP and DEMs to change together at same time.

Some (not all) Democrats also stood up in applause when the president took a moment to outline the differences between legal immigration and illegal immigration.

“We have a moral duty to create an immigration system that protects the lives and jobs of our citizens. This includes our obligation to the millions of immigrants living here today who follow the rules and respected our laws. Legal immigrants enrich our nation and...

Simple-minded racist Ocasio-Cortez joins forces with infamous antisemite Jeremy Corbyn, calls for global socialist (Nazi) movement

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and notorious Nazi Jeremy Corbyn have joined forces. Echoing Germany’s National Socialist Workers Party (Nazi Party), this is the 21st century version, the International Socialist Workers Party. Their rhetoric and policy recommendation differ little from those of Socialist leader Adolf Hitler:

To put it quite clearly: we have an economic programme. Point No. 13 in that programme demands the nationalisation of all public companies, in other words socialisation, or what is known here as socialism. … the basic principle of my Party’s economic programme should be made perfectly clear and that is the principle of authority… the good of the community takes priority over that of the individual. But the State should retain control; every owner should feel himself to be an agent of the State; it is his duty not to misuse his possessions to the detriment of the State or the interests of his fellow countrymen. That is the overriding point. The Third Reich will always retain the right to control property owners. If you say that the bourgeoisie is tearing its hair over the question of private property, that does not affect me in the least. Does the bourgeoisie expect some consideration from me?… Today’s bourgeoisie is rotten to the core; it has no ideals any more; all it wants to do is earn money and so it does me what damage it can. The bourgeois press does me damage too and would like to consign me and my movement to the devil.

Hitler’s interview with Richard Breiting, 1931, published in Edouard Calic, ed., “First Interview with Hitler, 4 May 1931”

There is a difference between the theoretical knowledge of socialism and the practical life of socialism. People are not born socialists, but must first be taught how to become them.

“German Volksgenossen!” Hitler’s opening speech at the new Winterhilfswerk, Deutschlandhalle, Berlin, October 5, 1937.

Socialism as the final concept of duty, the ethical duty of work, not just for oneself but also for one’s fellow man’s sake, and above all the principle: Common good before own good, a struggle against all parasitism and especially against easy and unearned income. And we were aware that in this fight we can rely on no one but our own people. We are convinced that socialism in the right sense will only be possible in nations and races that are Aryan, and there in the first place we hope for our own people and are convinced that socialism is inseparable from nationalism.

Adolf Hitler “Why We Are Anti-Semites,” August 15, 1920 speech in Munich at the Hofbräuhaus.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) on Sunday said it was an “honor to share such a lovely and wide-reaching conversation” with U.K. Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn about their common cause to take on billionaires, polluters, and “migrant baiters.”

Corbyn, who has a history of making anti-Semitic remarks, tweeted that it was “Great to speak to @AOC on the phone this evening and hear first hand how she’s challenging the status quo.” He went on to talk about the importance of “build[ing] a movement across borders to take on the billionaires, polluters and migrant baiters, and support a happier, freer and cleaner planet.”

Ocasio-Cortez responded with a tweet of her own.

“It was an honor to share such a lovely and wide-reaching conversation with you, @jeremycorbyn!” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Also honored to share a great hope in the peace, prosperity, + justice that everyday people can create when we uplift one another across class, race, + identity both at home &...
