Amazon Crosses a Very Dangerous Censorship Line

With the news last week that Amazon has banned Mohammed’s Koran: Why Muslims Kill for Islam, co-authored by British activist Tommy Robinson and Peter McLoughlin, Amazon has crossed a very dangerous and precarious line.

Two immediate questions come to mind. First, why ban a book critiquing Islam when a host of other books critiquing — harshly attacking, to be honest — other religious faiths are available on Amazon? Second, why ban this book and not other books that critique Islam? Why draw the line here?

When McLoughlin, who helped expose the “grooming” crimes committed by some British Muslims, received word that the book had been removed from Amazon, he wrote, “This is the twenty-first century equivalent of the Nazis taking out the books from university libraries and burning them.

“Can you think of another scholarly book on Islam that has been banned by Amazon? Mein Kampf is for sale on Amazon. As are books like the terrorist manual called The Anarchist Cookbook.”

Yet Mohammed’s Koran gets banned?

Why This Book?

According to Robert Spencer, who has authored scholarly works critiquing the Koran, Robinson and McLoughlin’s book “endeavors to illustrate how violent jihadists justify their actions by referring to Islamic texts and teachings — and that’s all. Robinson and McLoughlin call for no violence. Their book is...

Violent Leftist Perpetrator in Berkeley Assault Case Facing Three Felonies, One Misdemeanor

Suspect Zachary Greenberg is accused of a brutal assault on conservative activist Hayden Williams

Zachary Greenberg, the 28-year-old suspect in the brutal assault of a conservative activist on the campus of University of California, Berkeley, last month (shown above), is facing multiple felony counts, prosecutors announced on Tuesday.

“Last Friday, 10 days after the attack, police identified and arrested the suspect,” said Fox News host Laura Ingraham on “The Ingraham Angle” on Tuesday night, updating television viewers on the latest developments in the case.

Right after the arrest, Hayden Williams, the victim of the attack, told Ingraham, “I remain disappointed with UC Berkeley and the fact that they allowed such a culture of intolerance and violence toward conservative viewpoints to grow at Berkeley and even thrive, really.”

Ingraham reported that Williams is considering filing a civil suit.

“We are pleased that the good investigative work of our police department has led to the filing of these charges,” Dan Mogoluf, assistant vice chancellor at UC Berkeley, told Fox News.

“The university believes that those who violate the free-speech rights of others must be held accountable and face the appropriate consequences,” Mogoluf added.

Charges filed against Greenberg include three felonies and one misdemeanor count of vandalism, according to the Alameda Superior Court’s online records.

The felony counts include assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, battery with serious bodily injury, and criminal threats.

Charlie Kirk, founder and president of the conservative group Turning Point USA, issued a statement after Greenberg’s arrest calling the evidence in the case “incontrovertible.”

“Today, we have finally learned the identity of the attacker and that the violent man has been arrested. While every American should be afforded their due process, we believe that the video evidence in this case is incontrovertible. We hope 28-year-old Zachary Greenberg is...
