DC’s Antifa group “All Out DC” held a community gathering to speak about their plans for this coming week.

Following Trump’s Independence Day event on the 4th, a “Free Speech Rally” on the 6th is expected to attract many of his high-profile supporters.

Antifa intends to show up to counter the demonstration.

Why the Left Targets Western Civilization

Western civilization was founded on a set of philosophies that focus strongly on the sanctity of individuals and their power of logic and reason.

This belief led to a desire to trust things that could be proven to be true or legitimate, from government to science.

Judeo-Christian morality has formed the basis of most Western notions of ethics and behavioral standards. Thus, the attack on Western civilization must begin with the attack on the church and Christian values, and, just as important, the family unit must be undermined.

The reason why the church, Christian values, and family are targets of the left is they want people’s loyalty and allegiance to be to the state. The church, Christianity, and the family stand in the way. Let’s look at some of the left’s agenda.

The Western world’s culture isn’t perfect but women fare better under it than any other culture. Just ask yourself: If you’re a feminist, in which countries would you like to live? In those countries, women encounter all kinds of liberty restrictions, plus, in at least 30 countries on the African continent, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, female genital mutilation is practiced.

You might ask Biden what part of the “white man’s culture” needs to be changed.

The greatest efforts to downplay the achievements of Western civilization start at our colleges and universities.

An American Council of Trustees and Alumni 2016 study reported that “the overwhelming majority of America’s most prestigious institutions do not require even the students who major in history to take a single course on United States history or government.”

President Trump said yesterday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will increase deportations of illegal aliens after the July 4 holiday.

While signing a $4.6 billion humanitarian aid bill to help immigration officials deal with the migrant surge at the U.S. border, the president said to reporters, “After July Fourth a lot of people are going to be brought back out. So people that come up may be here for a short while, but they’re going to be gone, they’re going back to their countries. They go back home. ICE is going to be apprehending them and bringing them back.”

Last month, President Trump announced that ICE would deport “millions of illegal immigrants,” however, he halted the plan for two weeks in order to give Congress a chance to fix the immigration laws that enable migrants to exploit U.S. borders.

“At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border. If not, Deportations start!” he tweeted on June 22.

According to Fox News, a Trump administration official said the new immigration effort will focus on more than 1 million people who have been issued final deportation orders by judges yet still remain in the country.

George Soros and Charles Koch Have Teamed Up to Form a Think Tank

Progressive billionaire George Soros and right-leaning billionaire Charles Koch have formed an unusual alliance to advocate for pacifist foreign policy, teaming up to create an anti-war think tank known as The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.

According to its website, the Institute “promotes ideas that move U.S. foreign policy away from endless war and toward vigorous diplomacy in the pursuit of international peace.”

The foreign policy of the United States has become detached from any defensible conception of U.S. interests and from a decent respect for the rights and dignity of humankind. Political leaders have increasingly deployed the military in a costly, counterproductive, and indiscriminate manner, normalizing war and treating armed dominance as an end in itself.

Moreover, much of the foreign policy community in Washington has succumbed to intellectual lethargy and dysfunction. It suppresses or avoids serious debate and fails to hold policymakers and commentators accountable for disastrous policies. It has forfeited the confidence of the American public. The result is a foreign policy that undermines American interests and tramples on American values while sacrificing the stores of influence that the United States had earned.

The Quincy Institute is an action-oriented think tank that will lay the foundation for a new foreign policy centered on diplomatic engagement and military restraint. The current moment presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring together like-minded progressives and conservatives and set U.S. foreign policy on a sensible and humane footing.
