DEATH BY OPEN BORDER: SEVEN YEARS AGO TODAY, THIS YOUNG MAN WAS STOLEN FROM US BY AN ILLEGAL ALIEN

On July 12, 2012, Dominic Durden, a 30-year-old Riverside County, California sheriff’s dispatcher was on his way to work, when Juan Zacarias Lopez Tzun, 24, made an illegal left-hand turn in his pickup on Pigeon Pass Road, striking Durden’s motorcycle. Durden’s injuries were massive and he died at the scene.

Tzun, an illegal alien, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and for driving without a license. Despite the fact that Tzun killed an innocent young man, he was booked into the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside, on only $7,500 bail.

On April 3, 2013, Riverside County Superior Court Judge Raphael A. Arreola sentenced Tzun to 90 days in jail and to 180 days in a work-release program. Tzun had already spent 56 days in jail, and only served an additional 30 days, before being released on May 2, after which, he was eventually deported.

Not surprisingly, the crash that killed Durden was not Tzun’s first run-in with the law…what follows is Tzun’s criminal history in California:

• On May 13, 2012, he was arrested, and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and not having a license.

• In November 2010, he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and was sentenced to three years’ probation, 10 days in jail, and a $1,660 fine. Under the terms of his probation, he was required to obtain a driver’s license…he never did.

• In 2009, he was charged with grand theft auto.

Despite these charges, Tzun was never reported to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials for possible deportation, and was allowed to roam freely, continuing to place the citizens of Riverside County, in grave danger.

In fact, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported that the California Highway Patrol refused to investigate Tzun’s immigration status, following his first DUI arrest.

Furthermore, the paper also reported:
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department does not inform ICE of impending releases after receiving an immigration detainer, Sgt. Mike Manning said.
In addition to serving as a sheriff’s 911 dispatcher, Durden was a volunteer firefighter, and an accomplished pilot. “Dom,” as his mother, Sabine called him, loved animals and was the “ultimate prankster, …who would do anything to make you laugh.”

It was Durden’s lifelong dream to become a police officer, and he spent much of his 30 years on Earth helping others and...

Here are some tips for surviving an EMP attack against the United States

Non-preppers often scoff at those who make an effort to prepare for different disaster scenarios. Would they be thinking the same thing after an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack takes place in the country and civilization comes to a halt? (h/t to VigilPrudence.com)
Large-scale EMP event can halt civilization as we know it

An EMP is a “high-frequency burst of electromagnetic energy caused by the rapid acceleration of [charged] particles.” A large-scale EMP may result in the collapse of critical civilian infrastructures and services like banking, finance, food, water systems; the power grid; telecommunications; and transportation all over the country.

There are two types of EMP events: Those that occur naturally due to a great geomagnetic storm; and those that are man-made via the use of a nuclear weapon delivered by a primitive missile. Both types of EMP event may have similar effects.

Can you survive in a post-EMP America?

It’s never too late to start prepping, but if you want to keep your family safe after an EMP attack, you need to prep right now. Technology has revolutionized various aspects of your life, but after an EMP event, you would probably be helpless without electricity.

Preppers have an advantage because of their survival stockpiles and their various prepping skills, but what about the rest of America?

A group of EMP experts recently provided risk assessments which warned that the use of a strategic EMP weapon may cause significant damage to the U.S. The revelation also supported an alarming fact: The U.S. electrical grid urgently needs to be fortified.

Another important fact is that a massive geomagnetic storm or solar flare may hit the planet at some point within the next 50 years. The effects of such an event would be catastrophic.

It remains unknown how an EMP event will affect the country, but it is better to start preparing today than leave things as they are until it’s too late. If an EMP event causes the loss of electricity and fries the circuitry of every electrical equipment, such as modern vehicles, how will your family get through the rest of this scenario?

Most homes would have food and water for several days, although all water utilities would cease since there would be no power to operate pumping stations or treatment plants. Stores would run empty the moment daily food deliveries stop.

Communication would be next to impossible as landlines, smartphones, television, and radio stations would stop working. Looters would take advantage of the ensuing chaos to target shops until they move on to domestic housing.

Without the police, there wouldn’t be law and order.

Prepare for the worst

If you’re new to prepping, now is a good time to start building your survival stockpile. Start stocking up on clean water, food, weapons, and ammunition that will last you for at least a couple of weeks.

As you get the hang of things, gather enough supplies in your stockpile for at least a month-long SHTF scenario. Learn how to use your weapons well so you can...

UCLA Professor Faces 200+ Year Sentence for Smuggling Tech to China

Former University of California professor Yi-Chi Shih has been found guilty on 18 federal charges for funneling American military technology to China.

The 64-year-old electrical engineer has been found guilty of handing stolen U.S. military technology to the Chinese government. Now he faces several lifetimes’ worth of time in a federal prison. Shih’s co-defendant, Kiet Ahn Mai, already pleaded guilty to smuggling charges in December 2018.The former Los Angeles professor posed as a customer in order to obtain the “monolithic microwave integrated circuits” (MMICs) used in missiles and aircraft on China’s behalf. He was paid for his efforts, which — obviously — he did not choose to report for income tax purposes.

Shih’s charges include mail fraud, wire fraud, subscribing to a false tax return, making false statements to a government agency, conspiracy to gain unauthorized access to a protected computer to obtain information, conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and conspiracy to commit cybertheft.

“The Department’s China Initiative is focused on preventing and prosecuting thefts of American technology and intellectual property for the benefit of China,” said Assistant Attorney General John Demers. “The defendant has been found guilty of conspiring to export sensitive semiconductor chips with military applications to China.”Demers thanked prosecutors for their efforts and law enforcement agents, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
In a statement, FBI Assistant Director in Charge Paul Delacourt said:

The FBI is committed to protecting institutions from adversaries who seek to steal sensitive American technology under the guise of research. We will continue to work collaboratively with our federal partners to identify and hold accountable individuals who plunder our research or intellectual property at the expense of...
