The media has been quick to give former Defense Secretary James Mattis a platform to plug his new book, anticipating that the Marine Corps general might give up some dirt on his ex-boss, President Donald Trump.
But it appears that the book, “Call Sign Chaos: Learning to Lead” — the clever title is not related to Mattis’ time with Trump — is more detrimental to the media’s messiah, former President Barack Obama, than the current 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. occupant.
Mattis served as commander of U.S. Central Command in the Obama administration and was insistent that Iran was the bigger threat America faced. He said in his book that the former president effectively downplayed an Iran bomb plot in Washington so that it would not harm his prized nuclear deal with the world’s leading sponsor of terror.
In fact, Mattis said he was not even informed when Iran committed an “act of war” on American soil.
“From my first day at CENTCOM, I knew we faced two principal adversaries: stateless Sunni Islamist terrorists and the revolutionary Shiite regime of Iran, the most destabilizing country in the region,” he said, according to the Washington Examiner. “Iran was by far the more deadly of the two threats.”
(Mattis said he was eventually fired by Obama over his persistent warnings about Iran.)
Two Iranians were arrested in October 2011, charged with planning to bomb Cafe Milano, an upscale DC restaurant that Saudi Arabia’s ambassador, Adel al-Jubeir, was known to frequent.
“Attorney General Eric Holder said the bombing plot was ‘directed and approved by elements of the Iranian government and, specifically, senior members of the Qods Force.’ The Qods were the Special Operations Force of the Revolutionary Guards, reporting to the top of the Iranian government,” Mattis says in the book.
He also said he “saw the intelligence: we had recorded Tehran’s approval of the operation.”
The general was adamant the attack, if successful, “would have changed history.”
“Had the bomb gone off, those in the restaurant and on the street would have been ripped apart, blood rushing down sewer drains,” he wrote. “It would have been the worst attack on us since 9/11. I sensed that only Iran’s impression of America’s impotence could have led them to risk such an act within a couple of miles of the White House, Absent one fundamental mistake — the terrorists had engaged an undercover DEA agent in an attempt to smuggle the...

Biden Repeats Hillary Clinton’s Biggest Campaign Mistake During CNN Climate Town Hall
Democratic presidential candidates Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren offered proposals during Wednesday’s climate change town hall on CNN that mirrored what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton described as her biggest mistake during her 2016 campaign.
Biden and Warren both attacked coal mining and fossil fuels during the 7-hour long forum, suggesting that eliminating one of the largest sources of energy in the United States would substantially help the environment.
“We’ve got to shut down” all coal-fueled power plants, Biden asserted during his portion of the town hall.

Joe Biden says "We've got to shut down" all coal-fueled power plants, which provided 27% of all electricity in the United States last year.
Warren similarly offered, “I think the way we get there is we just say [to fossil fuel companies], sorry guys, but by 2035 you’re done.”
However, Clinton notably wrote in her post-election book “What Happened” that she thought her biggest mistake on the 2016 campaign trail was promising to put coal plants and coal miners out of business.
Clinton said the comment was the one “I regret the most.”
“I’m the only candidate which has a policy about how to bring economic opportunity using clean renewable energy as the key into...
Head of UN Global Communications Says Illegally Entering the U.S. is a Right
Follows Ilhan Omar’s call for UN to take control of US-Mexico border.
The head of United Nations Global Communications says that it is a “right” for migrants to illegally enter the United States.
Writing on Facebook, Melissa Flemming asserted that, “the right to seek asylum is enshrined in Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights & was made binding by the 1951 Refugee Convention.”
“It is never a crime to seek asylum in another country even if one enters a country irregularly,” she added.
As head of communications, Flemming, who is American, is also the spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the same organization that Rep. Ilhan Omar advocated take control of the US-Mexico border last week.
“We should do what any other country does by dealing with this situation in a serious way,” Omar said during an immigration forum in south Minneapolis.
“So, we have to bring in the United Nations high commissioner on refugees, an agency that has the expertise and the training to handle massive flows of refugees humanely.”

Major Poll Has Great News For Trump
A new poll has some astonishing news for those who keep seeing President Trump losing in polls in head-to head competition with the leading Democratic Party presidential candidates Democrats: All three leading Democratic candidates — former Vice-President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) — have lower favorability ratings than President Trump.
The in-depth, comprehensive poll from The Economist and YouGov, taken between September 1-3, showed 43% of respondents with a favorable response to Trump; 29% had a "very favorable" reaction and an additional 14% had a "somewhat favorable" response.
Among the three leading Democrats, only 40% had a favorable reaction to Biden, with a paltry 17% of respondents having a "very favorable" reaction and an additional 23% with a "somewhat favorable" reaction.
Warren got a total of 39% of respondents giving her a favorable reaction, 20% of whom had a "very favorable: reaction and 19% with a "somewhat favorable" reaction. Sanders got the most favorable reaction of the three top candidates as he barely edged out Biden with 41% of respondents having a favorable reaction, but he still ranked 2% behind Trump. 18% of voters gave Sanders a "very favorable" rating while 23% gave him a "somewhat favorable" response.
Another piece of evidence with good news for Trump: asked whether their candidate would defeat or lose to Trump in 2020, Biden was 10% underwater, with 32% of voters agreeing he would probably beat Trump but 42% saying he would probably lose. Warren fared even worse, at 16% underwater; 28% thought she...

National Democrats Dodge Questions on Whether NRA Is a ‘Domestic Terrorist Organization’
National Democrats in Congress and on the presidential campaign field have dodged questions of whether they agree with the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ decision to declare the National Rifle Association (NRA) a “domestic terrorist organization.”
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors enflamed controversy in September when they voted unanimously to declare the NRA a “domestic terrorist organization.” The San Francisco board also proposed that the city and county of San Francisco should take every step to limit its relationship with vendors that do business with the NRA, given that they declared it a “domestic terrorist organization.”
Since the board declared the NRA a “domestic terrorist organization,” the NRA has fought back, releasing a video to Breitbart News showing NRA members to be hardworking Americans with a variety of backgrounds.
“I shake my head, and I go, ‘what the heck is going wrong in our country?’” NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre says in the speech shown in the video.
In response to the controversy, Breitbart News reached out to several prominent Democrats on whether they agree with the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ decision to declare the NRA a terrorist organization. None of these national Democrats have responded to a request for comment from Breitbart News, including:
The national Democrats’ silence on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ condemnation of the NRA serves as a dire message for the Democrat party, which has historically had many 2nd Amendment supporters in their ranks.
While the Democrats’ remain silent on the controversy, LaPierre has contended that NRA members represent exemplary elements of society, saying:
