France says 9/11-inspired attack foiled by intelligence officers

The man was arrested before an attack on Paris police headquarters at the end of September.

France's interior minister has said intelligence officers have foiled a terror plot inspired by the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre in New York City.

According to Le Parisien, he was looking for a weapon to help with hijacking a plane.

The man was charged on 26 September and is suspected of wanting to perpetrate an attack comparable to the events of 11 September, 2001.

The man was arrested before the attack on the Paris police headquarters on 3 October, when an IT specialist with suspected Islamist sympathies and who had security clearances killed three officers and one civilian employee before he was shot dead by another officer.

France's interior minister Christophe Castaner told France 2: "Just before (that attack) there was a 60th attempted attack since 2013.
"An individual who wanted to draw inspiration from 9/11 and planes that destroyed the towers of the World Trade Center (...) was stopped by...

Dr. Strangesсhiff, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Impeachment

Who could have guessed that the words of Soviet secret police chief Lavrentiy Beria to Joseph Stalin, "Show me the man, and I will show you the crime," would be strangely embodied in American politics and jurisprudence in the 21st century? Moreover, according to Dr. Strangesсhiff — congressman, chairman, and commissar — these wonderful words have recently found their way into the U.S. Constitution.

Secret impeachment would seem to be a new idea, but the curious Dr. Strangesсhiff borrowed it from the closed Soviet trials of dissidents, "enemies of the people," and other "undesirable elements."

Bravo, comrade Strangesсhiff! Please, continue the Orange Man trial behind closed doors. After all, the American people are ecstatic about closed hearings without access by journalists or lawyers. They are also especially fond of the removal of the president based on an anonymous gossip-monger, or two, or three. The number of blabbers is not important, since the transcripts of their testimonies will never be published (not because they are not there, but because that is exactly what the intent was).

How familiar...

The impeachment trials by the troika of Strangesсhiff, Loudspeaker, and Jabba-the-Dem take place in the basement of the Lubyanka Capitol. Citizens of the country are not allowed in the basement trial of their president. Secret investigation, followed by a secret court, and then...secret execution. Furthermore, all these actions are in the same basement. In the 21st century, it is the basement of the Capitol.

How familiar...

When presenting the case of impeachment to his committee, Chairman Strangesсhiff used a specially written parody of the conversation between Orange Man and the president of Ukraine instead of the declassified and officially published text. The word "clowning" comes to mind, but the Strangeschiff clan never joke. They deal only with serious anti-American and revolutionary affairs. For example, in 1917, one of Strangeschiff's relatives, a banker, paid all travel expenses for the family idol, communist Leo Trotsky, to move from New York to Russia, where he became one of the leaders of the communist coup. When Trotsky was arrested while crossing the Canadian border, he had 10 thousand dollars on him (about 200 thousand dollars at the current rate).

Nevertheless, the actions of the self-appointed troika are getting funnier every day. Recently, they began to invite witnesses, who at the time of the "committing of the crime" had not been White House employees for a long time. They did not and could not possibly see or hear anything. Excellent selection of witnesses, Comrade Chairman! Anonymous whistlers who refuse to give official testimony are a great contribution to the reputation of the Democratic Party, Comrade Strangesсhiff.

Dr. Strangesсhiff spends public resources on a private, non-governmental, and illegitimate project. There is no formal impeachment process because nobody has voted for it. Therefore, the Strangeschiff troika does not even have the legal authority to subpoena anyone to testify. The other day, the third-rate Loudspeaker once again confirmed that there has not been...

Communism Is Bad. Very, Very Bad.

A U.S. Navy Amphibious Assault Ship Just Set Sail with a Whopping 13 Stealth Fighters

The U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS America in 2019 has set sail across the Pacific region with no fewer than 13 U.S. Marine Corps F-35B stealth fighters aboard.

The U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS America in 2019 has set sail across the Pacific region with no fewer than 13 U.S. Marine Corps F-35B stealth fighters aboard.

The current cruise represents the latest effort by the Navy and Marines to develop procedures and tactics for operating the Navy’s 10 assault ships as light carriers, each packing more aerial firepower than most of the world’s air forces.

As an earlier proof of concept, USS Wasp in March 2019 deployed to the Pacific region with no fewer than 10 F-35Bs aboard. America in May 2019 forward-deployed to Japan, freeing up Wasp to return to the United States for maintenance.

A Navy assault ship usually embarks just six F-35s or older AV-8B Harrier jump jets plus dozens of helicopters. The vessels can increase their fixed-wing component by reducing the number of helicopters. At a minimum, an assault ships needs just a pair of H-60 helicopters for search and rescue.

With 10 Wasp- and America-assault ships each carrying 20 or more F-35s plus another 10 Nimitz-class supercarriers (and new Ford-class supercarriers under construction), the United States possesses at least 20 aircraft carriers.

The USSR's nuclear program receives plans for the United States plutonium bomb from Klaus Fuchs at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

By comparison, China in late 2019 is preparing to commission its second flattop capable of carrying fixed-wing planes. The Chinese fleet aims eventually to field six large carriers.

The Royal Navy meanwhile is working up a two-carrier fleet. France, Russia and India each have one carrier. Italy and Spain both operate assault ships carrying Harrier jump jets. Japan and South Korea have announced plans to modify their own assault ships to be compatible with F-35Bs.

The carrier-disparity underscores the sheer size and power of the U.S. fleet.

The idea of a “Lightning carrier” has been years in the making. For years the normal air wing for the Navy's eight Wasp-class assault ships has included around 10 MV-22 tiltrotor transports, four AH-1Z attack helicopters, four UH-1Y light helicopters, five CH-53E heavylift helicopters and just six fighters, plus a couple of Navy H-60s for search and rescue.

But the L-class Wasps were capable of trading helicopters for fighters. During the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, four assault ships each embarked up to 20 Harriers in order to contribute to the coalition air campaign.

"This is not the norm for an amphib," Senior Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate Wynn Young, leading chief petty officer of USS Bonhomme Richard's air department, in 2003 told a Navy reporter. "Our air assets dictate that we operate more like a carrier."

As the Marines began replacing old AV-8Bs and other jets with "fifth-generation" F-35s, planners dusted off the "Harrier carrier" concept and rebranded it as the “Lightning carrier." Other naval experts simply refer to the Harrier and Lightning carriers as "light carriers."

"By 2025, the Marine Corps will operate 185 F-35Bs—enough to equip all seven L-Class ships," the Marines Corps explained in its 2017 aviation strategy. In fact, the Navy expects to operate at least 10 L-class ships, including the Wasps and newer...

Trump in Texas: Left Wants to Install Justices Who Will ‘Shred the Constitution’

President Donald Trump said at a campaign rally on Thursday in Dallas, Texas, that Democrats and the left want to change the makeup of the United States Supreme Court to destroy the Constitution.

“They want to install far left judges to shred the Constitution,” Trump said at the rally that attracted 20,000 people inside the America Airlines Center and thousands more outside the venue.

Trump also mentioned the left’s failed attack on now Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh, calling it “the disgusting smearing of a fine man — Justice Kavanaugh,” Trump said.

Trump’s remarks about the left trying to pack the court with activist judges who don’t believe in the originalist view of the Constitution comes just days after the left-wing group Demand Justice released a list of the individuals it hoped would be nominated for a seat on the High Court.

The 32-person list includes people working for groups like Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Under President Trump, more than 150 judges have been nominated and...

Durham investigation into origins of 2016 Trump campaign surveillance expands its scope

EXCLUSIVE – John Durham, the U.S. attorney reviewing the origins of the 2016 counterintelligence investigation into Russia and the Trump campaign, is probing a wider timeline than previously known, according to multiple senior administration officials.

Fox News previously reported that Durham would be reviewing the days leading up to the 2016 election and through the inauguration.

However, based on what he has been finding, Durham has expanded his investigation adding agents and resources, the senior administration officials said. The timeline has grown from the beginning of the probe through the election and now has included a post-election timeline through the spring of 2017, up to when Robert Mueller was named special counsel.

Attorney General Bill Barr and Durham traveled to Italy recently to talk to law enforcement officials there about the probe and have also had conversations with officials in the U.K. and Australia about the investigation, according to multiple sources familiar with the meetings.

Certain segments of the intelligence community and the Democratic Party are 'scared to death' of what U.S. Attorney John Durham will find, says Fox News contributor Sol Wisenberg, former deputy independent counsel.

Barr assigned Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, back in May to conduct the inquiry into alleged misconduct and improper surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016, as well as whether Democrats were the ones who'd improperly colluded with foreign actors.

The attorney "is gathering information from numerous sources, including a number of foreign countries. At Attorney General Barr’s request, the president has contacted other countries to ask them to introduce the attorney general and Mr. Durham to appropriate officials," Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said last month.

Durham, known as a "hard-charging, bulldog" prosecutor, according to a source, has been focusing on the use and assignments of FBI informants, as well as alleged improper issuance of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants. Durham was asked to help Barr to "ensure that intelligence collection activities by the U.S. government related to the Trump 2016 presidential campaign were lawful and appropriate."

Democrats increasingly have targeted Barr. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said late last month that Barr has "gone rogue," alleging an attempted "cover-up" of...
