Ninety miles from the South Eastern tip of the United States, Liberty has no stead. In order for Liberty to exist and thrive, Tyranny must be identified, recognized, confronted and extinguished.

Student Demonized For Protesting Against ‘Drag Queen Storytime’ Commits Suicide
A student who was the victim of a media demonization campaign after he protested against a ‘Drag Queen Storytime’ event in Brisbane, Australia has committed suicide.
University of Queensland president Wilson Gavin was one of a crowd of demonstrators to descend on Brisbane City Council Library during the protest on Sunday.
21-year-old Gavin can be seen on videos of the protest shouting “drag queens are not for kids.”
In a Facebook post after the protest, he said that the demonstration was a show of support for Queensland Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington, who had criticized unisex toilets, and a stand against “politically correct rubbish.”
The protest was roundly condemned by the media, Federal MPs and celebrities, including The Veronicas star Jessica Origliasso. After the event, Gavin faced personal harassment and...
Virginia Gun Owners, Answering the NRA’s Call, Crowd the Capitol for Gun Control Hearings
The newly Democrat-controlled Virginia legislature begins hearing testimony on a raft of gun control bills today at the capitol in Richmond. Bills under consideration include an “assault weapons” ban, “large capacity” magazine ban, red flag confiscations, universal background checks and more.
Hearings today will be held by the Senate Courts of Justice Committee. The NRA called for the state’s gun owners to show attend and let the committee know that Old Dominion gun owners — as evidenced by Second Amendment sanctuary movement that’s swept the state — will not be disarmed.
There are more than 100 such sanctuaries now, the result of a grassroots movement that highlights how the gun debate divides along regional and partisan lines as well as the influence of grassroots gun activists and lobbying groups.
“Gun control has been seen as purely partisan for quite some time, but it was really urban vs. rural,” said Harry Wilson, director of the Institute for Policy and Opinion Research at Roanoke College and author of multiple books on guns and politics. “They were correlated, but not nearly as strongly as they are now.”
Both sides of the issue have ratcheted up the rhetoric among supporters. Both sides warn that the words and actions of the other side will lead to a “civil war.” Gun owners have accused local government leaders unwilling to become gun sanctuaries as “traitors” and committing “treason.”

Facebook Glitch Reveals Greta Thunburg’s Father Posting As Teenage Climate Activist
A Thursday evening software update at Facebook accidentally allowed anyone to view exactly who is posting under the accounts of public figures, businesses and other entities, according to Wired.
The result? For starters, some 3 million followers of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg have been reading posts written by her father, Svante Thunberg, and a climate activist in India who serves as a delegate at the UN’s Climate Change organization, Adarsh Prathap. Thunberg, Inc. claims Greta is still the one writing the content.
“Some people have been asking who manages this page. First of all, since last spring I only use Facebook to repost what I write on my Twitter and Instagram accounts,” reads the post, in which ‘she’ says she tried Facebook “early on,” but didn’t like it, so she uses “my father Svantes account to repost content.”
“The rest that is shared on Facebook is reposted from Twitter and Instagram by the guy who founded the Greta Thunberg Facebook page long before I knew it existed. His name is Adarsh Prathap and he lives in India. Since a lot of people thought it was my official page in the beginning I asked if I could co-manage it and he said yes.”

Greta, Inc. explained this in a Saturday Facebook post purporting to be the young climate activist.
