Watch: Trump Spars with NBC’s Peter Alexander for ‘Sensationalism’ in Coronavirus Briefing

Donald Trump berated NBC reporter Peter Alexander on Friday for suggesting he was offering “false hope” to Americans, by talking about the effectiveness of drugs like chloroquine to fight the Chinese coronavirus.

“Is it possible that your impulse to put a positive spin on things may be giving Americans a false sense of hope and misrepresenting preparedness right now?” Alexander asked.

Trump replied he was optimistic about the effectiveness of the drug chloroquine even though Dr. Anthony Fauci said during the briefing it was not clinically proven.

“It may work and it may not work,” he said. “I feel good about it. that’s all it is, just a feeling.”

“What do you see Americans who are watching you right now that are scared?” Alexander asked, citing the numbers of invected and people killed by the virus.

“I say that you are a terrible reporter,” Trump replied. I think that’s a very nasty question, and I think it’s a very bad signal that you’re putting out to the American people.”

Trump berated MSNBC/NBC/Comcast for promoting sensationalism.

“I don’t call it Comcast, I call it Concast,” Trump said. “That’s really bad...

A Message To Democrats From Chairman Xi Of China

China Again Pushes Conspiracy America is to Blame For Coronavirus; U.S. Media Ignores

They’re more concerned about Trump offending Chinese people.

While the U.S. media continues to obsess over Trump calling COVID-19 the ‘Chinese virus’, China itself continues to claim that America is to blame for releasing the coronavirus.

A clip from Chinese state television shows an “expert” claiming, “The US pushed out the vaccine so quickly, that only means they have been working on it way before the pandemic.”

“So we can conclude that the US had this virus in their possession long ago,” responds the host.

This follows a claim by China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian, who suggested the U.S. military was to blame for coronavirus. The Chinese government not only refused to disavow Lijian, they endorsed his conspiracy in official Communist Party mouthpieces.

You’d think that a media which has been obsessed with “foreign meddling” and “fake news” for the past four years would be interested in a foreign power spinning a fake news conspiracy theory that the U.S. is to blame for a global pandemic.

Instead, they’ve completely ignored the story, with some even insisting that Trump’s claim Beijing is blaming America is completely made up.

Major news networks are also hailing China’s response as a “lesson” to the U.S., failing to mention the fact that China lied to the world 2 months ago in claiming there was “no evidence” of human-to-human transmission while their failure to act quick enough, according to a study, resulted in a lost opportunity to have reduced the global geogrpahic spread of coronavirus by 95 per cent.

In some cases, they’ve even mirrored and amplified the Chinese Communist Party’s rhetoric in claiming that blaming China for coronavirus, despite the fact it originated in China and China covered it up for over a month, is also a form of...

Ethiopian Nomads Bleeding to Death After Arrival of Chinese Oil and Gas Firm

A mystery illness has killed more than 2,000 nomads in Ethiopia’s Somali region since 2014, according to a report published Tuesday by Voice of America (VOA).

Those who have treated the ill say symptoms of the mysterious illness include bleeding from the nose and mouth, swollen limbs, and a green or yellow tint to eyes. Victims of this mystery ailment comprise a nomadic tribe of cattle herders, who roam the Ogaden Basin region, rich in oil and natural gas reserves.

Another group drawn to the Ogaden Basin region is the Chinese oil and gas firm Poly-GCL, which has surveyed the area since 2014, when the nomads began to exhibit symptoms of the illness.

The imminent construction of a pipeline by Poly-GCL in the region near Calub, Ethiopia, has riled residents, who argue the project will destroy the local environment and compromise grazing area for their cattle; they also add that they have not been consulted regarding the enterprise.

With the commercial gas venture on the horizon, the Ethiopian government has recently signed an agreement with Poly-GCL allowing for the African nation to gain 50 percent of any income from oil or gas production. As a result of the Chinese pipeline, Ethiopia will be able to export natural gas.

Despite concern from both locals and outsiders, such as Western reporters and researchers from human rights groups, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed denies allegations that the oil and gas project has caused any damage to...

Adam Schiff Fights to Keep Impeachment Subpoena Records Secret

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff moved to dismiss a lawsuit seeking access to secretive subpoenas the California Democrat issued for call records he made public during last year’s impeachment investigation of President Trump.

His legal team, led by Douglas Letter, the Democratic-led House’s general counsel, told the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Friday that “these requests and subpoenas were integral to the Committee’s inquiry and consistent with its mandate to investigate and issue a report” about whether Trump should be impeached.

In December, conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit against Schiff and his committee seeking access to “the controversial subpoenas issued for phone records,” including those of Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Judicial Watch pointed out that Schiff’s impeachment report included “the publication of the private phone records of Giuliani, Congressman Devin Nunes, journalist John Solomon, Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, attorney Victoria Toensing, and other American citizens.”
