Several witnesses spoke at the Tuesday hearing for the Subcommittee on The Constitution of the Judiciary Committee regarding Antifa and the political conflict that has torn the country apart over the past months — one such witness said “Senate Democrats used antifa talking points to label American law enforcement as secret police & compared them to ‘right wing militias.
'”Kyle Shideler, Senior Analyst for Homeland Security & Counterterrorism at the Center for Security Policy, took to Twitter to explain what he saw during his time at the hearing and to present grave predictions of Antifa if Democrats continue to ignore and consent to the domestic terrorist organization.
He explains Democrat silence and seeming acceptance — at least total unwillingness to denounce — of Antifa and their criminal behavior emboldends the group to go further and increase violence. It will “get much worse” if Democrats don’t speak out against the group. Shideler points to the condemnations from Democrats after the 2017 Berkeley Antifa attacks on journalists as proof that speaking against the group stops them from advancing.
“Antifa’s strategy is to radicalize the mainstream & push the center-left into their camp by endlessly expand concept of “fascism” until it encompasses anyone who opposes them. Calling the @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, the police & (implicitly) 63 million voters fascists does this,” Shideler tweeted.
He furthers saying the silence only pushes Antifa to be more violent — their violence is currently tamed for strategic reasons as they can’t get too out of hand or they risk losing political influence.
If Democrats purposefully keep refusing to condemn the terrorist organization — like Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) yesterday when she walked out of the room after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) gave her an open mic to condemn the group — the group will continue to grow in prominence in violence.

LOS ANGELES – A federal grand jury today returned a superseding indictment charging Edward Buck with four additional felonies, including that he allegedly enticed victims – including a man who died at his West Hollywood apartment after he administered drugs to him – to travel interstate to engage in prostitution.
Buck, 65, a LGBTQ political activist and Democratic political fundraiser, was arrested in September 2019 after being charged in United States District Court with providing methamphetamine to a man who died after receiving the drug intravenously. Since that time, federal authorities have continued to investigate Buck for additional crimes.
The four additional counts charged today – bringing the total number of charges in this case to nine counts – include one count alleging that Buck knowingly enticed 26-year-old Gemmel Moore to travel to the Los Angeles area to engage in prostitution. Buck allegedly provided methamphetamine to Moore, who overdosed on the drug and died on July 27, 2017.
Buck also is charged with another count of enticing another man to travel with the intent of engaging in prostitution.
The superseding indictment also charges Buck with one count of knowingly and intentionally distributing methamphetamine, and one count of using his residence for the purpose of distributing narcotics such as methamphetamine, and the sedatives gamma hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) and clonazepam.
Last year, a federal grand jury returned a five-count indictment charging that Buck “engaged in a pattern of soliciting men to consume drugs that Buck provided and perform sexual acts at Buck’s apartment,” which is a practice described as “party and play.” Buck allegedly solicited victims on social media platforms, including a gay dating website, and used a recruiter to scout and proposition men.

U.S. newspapers collected millions from Beijing to publish propaganda
The New York Times quietly deleted hundreds of advertorials that the Chinese Communist Party paid to publish on its website.
A Times spokeswoman told the Washington Free Beacon that the move is a reflection of a decision to stop accepting ads from state-run media. "We made the decision at the beginning of this year to stop accepting branded content ads from state run media, which includes China Daily," she said.
The Times‘s decision to end its partnership with China Daily is part of a society-wide reckoning about the cozy relationships between the Chinese government and American institutions, from the NBA to Harvard University. While the paper is responsible for some of the most gut-wrenching stories about Chinese government oppression, it has also run more than 200 propaganda articles in the last decade, some of which sugar-coated China's human rights abuses. One 2019 video ad, for example, promoted Xinjiang tourism by depicting the oppressed Uyghur people as content under Chinese rule.
China Daily, an official mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party, has been purchasing advertorial spaces in the pages of mainstream U.S. media outlets for the last decade, using the space to disseminate Chinese propaganda to millions of unassuming Americans. In return, U.S. newspapers such as the Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal received millions of dollars.
Rep. Jim Banks (R., Ind.), a member of Congress's China Task Force who has spearheaded efforts to rein in the distribution of Chinese propaganda, applauded the Times for terminating its relationship with China Daily.
"The New York Times has done excellent, detailed reporting on the ongoing Communist Party atrocities in Xinjiang and around the world," the congressman said. "That reporting has finally had an effect—at the New York Times—and it no longer supports covering up the CCP’s barbarity. I hope the other outlets follow suit and start putting American values over Communist bribes."
