You Can Thank Our Elites For Proliferating Conspiracies

The media's disinterest in holding one entire side of the spectrum to account is making this much worse by allowing them to get away with it, circulating false information, and sowing immense distrust.

Journalists generally assess our politics through the same lens as Democratic operatives, which assumes Democrats are the good guys and Republicans are not. For some in the corporate media, that’s not so much a conscious partisan calculation as it is the consequence of their shared cultural leftism.

This is a key driving force behind our national discord. A better lens generally assumes politicians are the bad guys, whether they’re friendly to the press, progressive, Christian, rich, poor, or whatever. That’s not only more accurate, it’s more fair and more constructive for the so-called fourth estate, which exists to hold powerful people accountable on a nonpartisan basis. When journalists share the cultural values of Democratic partisans, they lose their ability to apply that lens.

This could preface any number of media critiques but it’s relevant currently in light of stories about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. I don’t want to make this a meta story about the media’s failure when the primary issue at hand is Greene’s total disqualification from elected office and the GOP’s mishandling of her ascent. That said, two points are true—the media is creating more and more Greenes every single day and the media treats the left’s versions of Greene very differently.

Let’s focus in on the second point. Rep. Ilhan “All-About-The-Benjamins” Omar, D-Minn., is corrupt and nearly as conspiratorial as Greene. She also seems to be antisemitic. But the media doesn’t make Omar the subject of breathless coverage about her party’s moral bankruptcy. They put her on magazine covers.

The same goes for the likes of Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory. Hillary Clinton and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are currently trafficking in bizarre conspiratorial theories that Donald Trump talked to and took direction from Vladimir Putin on the day of the Capitol riot without being treated as menacing representations of rot in their party. Clinton never accepted the results of her 2016 loss, and continues to recklessly advance baseless notions of...

Joe Biden Has Issued 42 Executive Actions In One Week, A Practice He Recently Called ‘Dictator’ Behavior.

The number of executive orders issued by President Biden in the first week – who once decried the legislative move as undemocratic and used by “dictators” – is more double the amount of the past seven presidents combined.

In just seven days, President Biden issued 42 executive actions.

That’s ten times as many as Donald Trump and over eight times as many as Barack Obama. It is a whopping 22 times greater than Bill Clinton, and 42 more than Presidents Reagan and Bush.

As the left liked to say of Donald Trump: this is not normal.

Joe Biden even recognized this on the run up to the Presidential election, calling the unilateral use of executive actions the hallmark of a “dictator.”

Speaking at an October 15th, 2020 town hall with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, then-candidate Biden insisted that presidents who rule by executive order are undemocratic:

I have this strange notion. We are a democracy. Some of my Republican friends and some of my Democratic friends even say: well if you can’t get the votes, by executive order you’re going to do something, things you can’t do by executive order unless you’re a dictator.

“We’re a democracy. We need consensus,” the President who’s relied on executive orders to pass his agenda added.

How to Blow Up the Left's Terrorist Narrative

If the name Tatiana Schlossberg sounds like a brand for white privilege, you would be right. She’s not a top chef or fashion designer. She’s the 30-year-old daughter of Caroline Kennedy and Ed Schlossberg, the granddaughter of JFK. Like Maria Shriver at NBC, Tatiana became an “objective journalist” for a while, covering the environment at The New York Times from 2016 to 2019.

When she wrote a book in 2019 called Inconspicuous Consumption, NBC put her on TV and pushed her to run for office. She deferred, saying she was a journalist...a political activist of a different stripe.

On January 24, she reviewed three books on “Climate Disaster” for the New York Times Book Review. One book had an especially provocative title: How to Blow Up a Pipeline, by a far-left Swedish professor named Andreas Malm. It was published on January 5 by Verso Books, which calls itself “the largest independent, radical publishing house in the English-speaking world.”

That’s one day before the terrible violent riot on Capitol Hill.

Verso’s promotional blurb for this latest version of a Unabomber treatise is really something. “In this lyrical manifesto, noted climate scholar (and saboteur of SUV tires and coal mines) Andreas Malm makes an impassioned call for the climate movement to escalate its tactics in the face of ecological collapse,” it says. “We need, he argues, to force fossil fuel extraction to stop—with our actions, with our bodies, and by defusing and destroying its tools. We need, in short, to start blowing up some oil pipelines.”

It seems intellectually incoherent for The New York Times to cheer the social media squashing voices promoting Trump’s “landslide victory” conspiracy theories because they might lead to violence...and then discover the Times offering space to a book advocating property destruction.

Online, the Times promoted it as “Three Books Offer New Ways to Think About Environmental Disaster.” When it comes to Big Energy (as opposed to Big Government), a few pipeline bombs offer “a new way of thinking,” an expansion of our ecological possibilities.

Schlossberg calls it “a compelling but frustrating treatise.” She says “one of the most satisfying parts of his book comes when he brutally dispatches with ‘climate fatalists.’” (Perhaps when reviewing a book endorsing blowing up stuff, the words “brutally dispatches” should be avoided.)

She loves Malm saying “climate fatalism is for those on top.” But here’s the poster girl for white privilege, a roving global correspondent born “on top,” promoting violence against energy companies, which provide jobs to Americans in flyover states much less privileged than she is.

This Kennedy princess insists Malm doesn’t offer “any actual instructions” for explosions. She concludes “the problem with violence, even when it’s meant only to destroy...

Capitol Police Chief Touts PERMANENT Fence, More Security

Makes Me Wonder What They Have Planned That They Will Need This Protection....-mm

“Vast improvements to the physical security infrastructure must be made to include permanent fencing, and the availability of ready, back-up forces”

The Capitol Police Chief has proposed erecting a permanent fence around the centre of government in DC, prompting a massive backlash.

The Hill notes that acting U.S. Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman made the call, saying it is necessary to ‘prevent another riot’.

“In light of recent events, I can unequivocally say that the vast improvements to the physical security infrastructure must be made to include permanent fencing, and the availability of ready, back-up forces in close proximity to the Capitol,” Pittman said in a statement.

Since the events of January 6th, a huge eight foot fence with razor wire has been built around the Capitol, prompting comparisons to something out of a Mad Max movie.

The call for beefed up security and a permanent fence in DC comes after Joe Biden signed an executive order on his first day to halt construction of the huge fence at the border.

Apparently fences only work if they’re protecting Washington Elites, not everyday Americans.

The call also comes after Nancy Pelosi claimed that “the enemy is within” the House, referring to Republican lawmakers who she says carry guns around the Capitol and have “threatened violence against other members of Congress.”

Pelosi made the comments after a DHS warning called for a continuation of...

FNC’s Carlson: GameStop Saga Shows System Is ‘Not the Capitalism We Were Promised — Not Even Close’

Thursday, Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson opened his program with his thoughts on the fallout of the GameStop short-squeeze situation unfolding that has caused financial elites to question the retail investor’s role in financial markets.

Carlson said the backlash showed the U.S. economic system was not living up to its intended billing.

Transcript as follows:

CARLSON: Quite a day in financial markets, not a phrase we use a lot on this show, but a lot happened today and there are massive implications for all of us. Dave Portnoy joins us in a moment to explain what those are, but first some context of what we’re watching right now.

Last March, as the country began to panic about the arrival of a strange new coronavirus from China, a billionaire called Bill Ackman went on television in an attempt to make America even more afraid than it already was. “Our economy may be done at this point,” he said, over, dead, not coming back.

Bill Ackman went on like this for 28 full minutes, terrified CNBC viewers watched slack-jawed as he ranted. Here’s part of his performance.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BILL ACKMAN, CEO, PERSHING SQUARE CAPITAL: Hell is coming. This was a feeling like I’ve never had like there’s a tsunami coming, right? The tsunami is coming in and you feel it in the air, right? The tide starts to roll out. Okay. And on the beach, people are playing and having fun, like there’s nothing going on. And that is the feeling I’ve had for the last two months. Okay. And my colleagues at work, okay, thought I was a lunatic.

We need to shut it down now. America will end as we know it, okay, I’m sorry to say so. Okay, unless we take this option.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CARLSON: Bill Ackman was afraid, and he wanted you to be afraid. Ackman was especially frightened for the future of Hilton Hotels. Hilton Hotels, Ackman proclaimed quote: “Is going to zero along with every other hotel company in the world.” Every hotel is going to be shut down in the country — everyone. Talk about scary.

But in the end, not for Bill Ackman. Not long after that appearance, we learned that Ackman’s firm had made more than $2 billion from trading in the stocks that many people believed he had pushed down with the hysterically dire predictions you just saw, including Hilton Hotels.

So, it was Ackman’s rant on CNBC part of a very dishonest investment strategy? It seemed pretty obvious, so we said so on the air. Ackman’s lawyers immediately threatened to...
