Hawley: Dems Want Big Corporations Acting as ‘the Hand of the Government’

During Sunday’s “Life, Liberty & Levin” on Fox News Channel, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) warned of big corporations acting as “the hand of the government.”

According to Hawley, Democrats are cheering on big tech companies and big corporations to use their “unprecedented concentration of power” to impose their viewpoints on the American public.

“What we have is an unprecedented concentration of power by these corporate monopolies working in league with the left,” Hawley told host Mark Levin. “I call them the woke capitalists. You know, they are only interested in capitalism in so far as they can control it and use it to impose their viewpoints on the American public. You know, our founders, they were against monopolies. They really hated monopolies. They were very wary of monopolies, and rightfully so because when you concentrate power in a few hands, bad things always happen. And that’s what’s happening now, Mark.”

“You’ve got these big tech companies who effectively control more and more speech in America,” he continued. “We have seen how they want to use that. They want to shut down conservatives, they want to shut down libertarians, they want to take down competitors like Parler, they want to tell you what you can and cannot say. And it’s not just the tech companies. It’s also the corporate monopolies in other areas.”

Hawley went on to say this is something that has not been seen in America before.

“We’re dealing with a party now that loves the idea of concentrated power, that loves the idea of power gathered into a few hands. I mean … they are the party of the powerful. I mean, there is no doubt about it. They are a party of biggest monopoly corporations, they’re the party of big tech, they are a party of Hollywood, of course — and have been for years,” he advised.

Global Times, a Chinese state-run media outlet, accused the U.S. of “racism” for arresting Massachusetts Institute of Technolgoy Professor Gang Chen for hiding contracts with the Chinese Communist Party while taking millions of taxpayer dollars in the form of federal research grants.

The Department of Justice press release notes that Chen failed to disclose he was “promoting China’s technological and scientific development by providing advice and expertise — sometimes directly to Chinese government officials — and often in exchange for financial compensation.”

The Global Times, however, insisted the criminal charge was “nothing but thinly veiled racism.”

Continuing to quote Rao Yi, a Chinese neurobiologist, the article adds that “MIT will be implicated in one of the worst cases of academic racism in the 21st century” if the university fails to support Chen.

The paper, operated and owned by the repressive Chinese Communist Party, amplified the claims of Rao:

It is called ranked choice voting (or “instant runoff voting”)—but it is really a scheme to disconnect elections from issues and allow candidates with marginal support from voters to win elections. In the end, it is all about political power, not about what is best for the American people and for preserving our great republic. According to a report by Germany’s Standing Vaccination Commission, the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine is only effective 8% in people over 65.

AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine is not very effective for people over 65, German coalition sources told tabloid Bild and Handelsblatt, a step which calls into question its suitability in mass vaccination programmes.

German officials fear that the AstraZeneca vaccine may not be approved by European Union authorities for use in those over 65, the German tabloid said in its online edition.

The German Standing Vaccination Commission sees no basis for recommending the use of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine for the group of over 65-year-olds.

This policy is based on an 88-page draft resolution by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) committee, dated January 26th.

The paper literally states: “The Covid-19 vaccine Astra-Zeneca is currently only recommended for people aged 18 to 64 based on the data currently available.”

Democratic governors may be suddenly willing to reopen their economies now that President Joe Biden has been safely sworn in, but it appears that the nation’s teachers unions are not yet done leveraging the crisis for their own political advantage.

In Fairfax County, Virginia, the local teachers union has demanded that teachers and students alike be vaccinated against the coronavirus before anyone can return to school.

However, as teachers receive vaccinations while claiming they are “essential workers,” they’re still refusing to do said “essential” work and continuing to delay the opening of the schools. What’s more, new data, albeit from Europe, indicates it may not even be unusually risky for them to be in the classroom in the first place.

While Fairfax Education Association President Kimberly Adams said at a Jan. 21 school board meeting that she’d received her first vaccination dose on Jan. 14, she’s also reportedly indicated that her union doesn’t even support a return to full-time education … in the fall.

So why, then, has she been vaccinated?

And why is the union insisting that students also be vaccinated when no current vaccines have even been approved for children younger than 14?
