'Mob Rule': Texas Man Faces Assault Charge For Confronting BLM Mob Blocking Traffic In Plano
Police charge man for allegedly slapping a woman's hand despite video indicating he never made contact and "victim" admitting she was "not injured" and "it did not hurt."
A Texas man filmed confronting a Black Lives Matter mob illegally blocking an intersection in Plano is being criminally charged with "assault by contact" for allegedly slapping a woman's hand even though video of the "slap" indicates he completely whiffed and the "victim" admitted she was "not hurt."
On Monday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton condemned the May 2 incident as an example of "mob rule" and slammed Plano's police chief Ed Drain for not charging any of the "rioters."
On Monday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton condemned the May 2 incident as an example of "mob rule" and slammed Plano's police chief Ed Drain for not charging any of the "rioters."
"I instructed one of my top deputies to contact the Plano Police Chief to get more details. What he heard paints an even worse picture that the video alone depicts," Ken Paxton said in a statement.
Paxton said the police chief told his deputy several different versions of what actually happened.
"First, the Chief told my deputy that while the weapon drawn wasn't a pistol, it was, in fact, a "pepper ball gun." In a separate conversation, the Chief claimed it was a "taser." In a recent Facebook post, the Department is now saying it was a "electronic control device." Paxton said. "Whatever it was, the police declined to pursue the leftist who brandished the weapon, and no charges are being pressed against him."
Paxton continued, "Second, the Chief was anxious to excuse the rioters. "You have to understand the situation." urged the Chief. "We have to negotiate with these people. Do you expect us to mass arrest the protesters? You know that's not going to happen."
Paxton said too many police officers are "held back by politically motivated leaders, crippled by the woke agitators, now aiders and abettors to liberal lunacy."
"I will never allow our beautiful Texas cities and neighborhoods to become Portland or Seattle or San Francisco because of the unchecked left," Paxton said.
Full statement:
Dallas News reported that the assault charge is a Class C misdemeanor "punishable by a fine of up to $500."
Plano PD released a statement on Facebook which made no mention of the fact blocking traffic is illegal and instead criticized people on "social media" for not reporting on the incident in the manner they wanted.
Of note, they acknowledged the "victim" said "she was not injured by the slap and it did not...
BREAKING, Coast Guard Ship Fires 30 Warning Shots After Encounter With Iranian Vessels
A U.S. Coast Guard ship fired about 30 warning shots after 13 vessels from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) came close to it and other American Navy vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the Pentagon said on Monday.
This is the second time within the last month that U.S. military vessels have had to fire warning shots because of what they said was unsafe behavior by Iranian vessels in the region, after a relative lull in such interactions over the past year.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the warning shots were fired after the Iranian fast boats came as close as 150 yards (450 feet) of six U.S. military vessels, including the USS Monterey, that were escorting the guided-missile submarine Georgia.
The U.S. Coast Guard cutter Maui fired the warning shots from a .50-caliber machine gun before the Iranian vessels left, Kirby said.
“It’s significant… and they were acting very aggressively,” he said, adding that the number of Iranian vessels was more than in the recent past.

Get Gas Now: Gas stations along Southeast Coast suffer fuel shortage amid pipeline shutdown
Gas stations along the Southeast Coast are beginning to feel the pinch from the shutdown of the biggest oil pipeline in the US due to a crippling cyberattack believed to be orchestrated by a Russia-based criminal group.
The closure of the 5,500-mile Colonial Pipeline, which carries more than 100 million gallons of fuel from Texas to New Jersey each day, has stretched into its fifth day. The Alpharetta, Georgia-based company suspended all operations after it was hit Friday by a ransomware attack that could prove to be among the most costly in US history.
Colonial said Monday that it hopes to get most of its operations back online by the weekend, but that’s not soon enough to avoid shortages and price hikes as supply has already started to dwindle.
About 7 percent of gas stations in Virginia were out of fuel by late Monday, according to GasBuddy analyst Patrick DeHaan’s estimates. He added that 2.4 percent of gas stations in North Carolina, and 1.5 percent in both Georgia and Florida are also reporting that they’ve sold out of fuel.
The shortages spurred North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper to...
Tucker Carlson Calls For Investigation Into Fauci Wuhan Lab Connection
“Why isn’t there a criminal investigation into Tony Fauci’s role in this pandemic?”
Fox News host Tucker Carlson has called for The White House medical advisor Anthony Fauci to be investigated concerning his links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of the coronavirus.
In a monologue Monday, Carlson asserted that Fauci allowed the pandemic to happen by ‘exploiting a loophole that allowed him to fund research at the Wuhan Lab that likely became COVID-19’.
Carlson was responding to Fauci again suggesting that it’s “possible” mask mandates could continue indefinitely.
“Tony Fauci is punishing the country — you, us, everyone. The question is: why is he doing that?” Carlson asked, suggesting “Maybe he liked it, that’s possible. But you’ve got to think that at least part of Fauci’s authoritarian germ hysterical is a cover for something else. Could it be that Tony Fauci is trying to divert attention from himself and his own role in the COVID-19 pandemic?”
The host then pointed to an article by science writer Nicholas Wade that outlines how Fauci approved dangerous research at the Wuhan facility, that many believe led directly to the coronavirus outbreak.
“Tony Fauci had authorized payment for the research. For five years — from 2014 to 2019 — the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which Fauci runs, and has for decades, pumped money to a group called the EcoHealth Alliance,” Carlson continued.
“The EcoHealth Alliance, run by a man called Dr. Peter Daszak, contracted with Dr. Shi to conduct gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab,” Tucker further explained.
“Millions of people have died of COVID-19, so it’s not a matter of score-settling or blame-assignment to figure out where it came from. If you want to prevent the next global pandemic, you have to figure out how this one started,” Carlson added, noting “This wouldn’t have happened if Tony Fauci didn’t allow it to happen. That is clear.”
He concluded “In a functional country, there would be a criminal investigation into Tony Fauci’s role in the COVID pandemic that has killed millions and halted our...
