The 90 Miles Mystery Box: Episode #1363

You have come across a mystery box. But what is inside?
It could be literally anything from the serene to the horrific,
from the beautiful to the repugnant,
from the mysterious to the familiar.

If you decide to open it, you could be disappointed,
you could be inspired, you could be appalled.

This is not for the faint of heart or the easily offended.
You have been warned.

Why Are Democrats So Afraid of Election Audits?

Democrats claim election audits like the one in Arizona are an existential threat to democracy, but it’s difficult to see how—unless they reveal that our elections have been hijacked.

Democrats are positively terrified of election audits that aren’t completely controlled by the political establishment. If there’s a chance an audit might reveal meaningful information, you can bet Democrats (and certain weak Republicans) will stridently oppose it. The only audits Democrats and their allies support are the ones designed to rubber-stamp previous conclusions.

The increasingly desperate attacks on the ongoing audit in Maricopa County, Arizona—particularly those intended to undermine the credibility of the auditors—show just how much the Democratic Party establishment fears the whole process. Their entire argument is based on sarcasm, scorn, and scare quotes.

The auditors are inspecting the paper that ballots were printed on? They must believe in a far-fetched conspiracy theory!

The auditors are checking to make sure the ballots don’t have watermarks that are not supposed to be there? They must be members of fringe online message boards!

The audit is being funded primarily by private donations? It must be an elaborate “grift” rather than a serious fact-finding effort (not to mention they need the funds to fend off the litany of lawsuits they’re facing).

By smearing the auditors as corrupt and/or inept, and the audit itself as a partisan stunt, leftists are hoping they can discredit the process and convince Americans to stop asking pesky questions about whether any laws were broken or procedural loopholes exploited during the 2020 elections. That’s the way people respond to questions when they don’t want anyone to know the answers.

It’s not just the Arizona audit, either. Democrats and their media allies are already fully engaged in a crusade to preemptively impugn the legitimacy of any audits that might be conducted in other states, describing conservative support for audits in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere as “a bid to bolster former President Donald Trump’s lies about widespread fraud in the 2020 election.”

If they really believe the 2020 elections were “the most secure in American history,” then they should welcome audits as a way of substantiating that claim. Indeed, they should even be celebrating audits run by Republicans, since their conclusions will carry so much more weight with GOP voters. That said, the Arizona auditors have practically been begging Democrats to participate, but the Democrats have only been interested in attacking the process from afar.

Neither should the Democrats be afraid of incompetence or chicanery. The American people are savvy enough to see through a poorly crafted deception, especially since the mainstream media are already doing everything in their power to find flaws in the audit process they can expose. And again, the auditors repeatedly have invited their critics to engage in...

Politifact Forced to Pull ‘Fact-Check’ That “Debunked” Lab Leak Origin of COVID

More proof ‘fact checks’ are designed to protect the establishment.

Politifact has been forced to pull a ‘fact check’ that claimed it had “debunked” the lab leak origin theory of COVID-19 after more prominent voices suggested the explanation was a reasonable possibility.

The original ‘fact check’ was entitled ‘Tucker Carlson guest airs debunked conspiracy theory that COVID-19 was created in a lab’ and was rated “pants on fire,” meaning that the lab leak theory was completely untrue.

However, the entry has now been updated with an editor’s note which basically reverses the judgment.

“Editor’s note, May 17, 2021: When this fact-check was first published in September 2020, PolitiFact’s sources included researchers who asserted the SARS-CoV-2 virus could not have been manipulated. That assertion is now more widely disputed. For that reason, we are removing this fact-check from our database pending a more thorough review. Currently, we consider the claim to be unsupported by evidence and in dispute. The original fact-check in its entirety is preserved below for transparency and archival purposes. Read our May 2021 report for more on the origins of the virus that causes COVID-19.”

As we highlighted yesterday, even Biden’s own CDC Director Rochelle Walensky admits it’s a “possibility” the virus was leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, an opinion more than shared by her predecessor Robert Redfield, who told CNN in March that it was the “most likely” explanation.

Numerous other credible individuals and scientific groups have also asserted that the lab leak is the most likely source and demanded the...

12 Easily-Debunked Leftist Lies

If Americans look the other way and allow lies to fester, they will be used to further the radical leftist agenda.

Americans must strive to debunk lies the second they are uttered. If left unchecked, lies are always used to justify tyrannical policies. The below non-exhaustive list of factual statements should be used by Americans to counter lies told everyday by left-wing politicians and their radical allies.

1.) Trump supporters are not attacking Asian-Americans

Joe Biden signed a bill into law this week that promotes the false premise that the coronavirus has something to do with attacks on Asian-Americans. There is zero data available for public scrutiny that so-called “hate crimes” against Asian-Americans have gone up at all.

The two main sources of the false narrative is the Maoist-leaning group “Stop AAPI Hate” and the laughably biased Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, housed at California State University, San Bernardino. Neither of these sources provide evidence to support their slanderous claims, yet the groups are both used to justify massive infusions of tax-payer money into leftist organizations and biased police trainings.

2.) NRA members do not conduct mass shootings

The National Rifle Association has nothing to do with mass shootings. In fact, groups like the NRA protect and empower citizens by training them in the proper use of firearms. There is zero evidence that those conducting mass shootings are NRA members or are remotely influenced by the NRA or similar groups.

It is quite likely that the left attacks the NRA because their members are more likely to engage in politics than non-members. The vast majority of NRA members are Republicans. Politically active Republicans threaten Democrat rule.

One rule of thumb is that leftists are motivated by power. If Americans are empowered to protect themselves, they are less likely to be dependent on the government. As author Trevor Loudon states, “Leftists are not against guns, they are against you having guns.” Disarming citizens will not protect them. The Second Amendment has no qualifiers.

3.) January 6th was not an “armed insurrection”

Thoughtful people concede that there were bad apples stirring up patriots on January 6th. But the vast majority of those who entered the Capitol building – often through doors opened by Capitol police – wandered in, took selfies and wandered out. The only shot fired on January 6th was the one that resulted in the death of an unarmed, decorated female veteran named Ashli Babbitt.

It is far more likely that Trump supporters were set up on January 6th to deflect from rampant, premeditated voter fraud. The biggest indicator that the events at the Capitol were contrived to paint a narrative is the vast suppression of details surrounding that day.

Watch a clip of Fox News Host Tucker Carlson and actual journalist Julie Kelly discussing unanswered questions from January 6th:

4.) Police are not murdering black people in a racist rage

Considering that there are 375 million interactions police have with criminals every year, it is amazing more people are not killed. The vast majority of Black Lives Matter martyrs are criminals resisting arrest. There is zero evidence of a systemic racial motivation in police-involved deaths.

The lie is promoted by leftist politicians and their allies to vilify those who protect Americans and have every right to defend themselves from criminals.

5.) White supremacy is not a problem
