American Medical Association, Descending Into Wokeness, Calls for Eliminating Sex on Birth Certificates

Another formerly serious institution in America has gone woke.

The American Medical Association, a professional association and lobbying group for physicians and medical students, issued a report in June calling for eliminating biological sex on birth certificates.

The policy change is being promoted on WebMD social media, which is why it’s suddenly garnering more attention.

The American Medical Association’s formal statement on the matter is filled with woke jargon and pregnant with left-wing ideological views.

“Designating sex on birth certificates as male or female, and making that information available on the public portion, perpetuates a view that sex designation is permanent and fails to recognize the medical spectrum of gender identity,” Dr. Sandra Adamson Fryhofer, chairman-elect of the AMA’s board, said. “This type of categorization system also risks stifling an individual’s self-expression and self-identification and contributes to marginalization and minoritization.”

This from someone whose website describes her as a board-certified doctor of internal medicine in Atlanta and adjunct associate professor of medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.

So, is this about individual “self-expression” or science?

The AMA did not suggest stripping biological sex from the U.S. Standard Certificate of Live Birth, which relays information to the government for statistical purposes. Instead, this change would apply to the birth certificate, which also includes information about...

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) did not disclose his TV hit on a Chinese propaganda network to the Senate, Fox News revealed on Wednesday.

In 2012, David Chipman joined the China Global Television Network to talk about the U.S. response to the deadly Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. At the time, Chipman worked for Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Everytown for Gun Safety, an anti-firearm group dedicated to sparking more gun control in the United States.

During the interview, he highlighted how he believes there will be more shootings “unless we do something about it.” According to Fox, Chipman’s interview on U.S. failures to contain gun violence was used by the communist propaganda machine to distract from “a mass stabbing of 23 children at a school in China’s Henan Province.”

While Chipman provided at least 16 pages detailing past media hits to the Senate, he did not list the propaganda network as one despite the fact that the United States began classifying CGTN as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act in 2019.

“I have done my best to identify all interviews given, including through a review of my personal files, and searches of publicly available electronic databases. Despite my searches, there may be other materials that I have been unable to identify, find, or remember,” Chipman wrote in a disclaimer to the Senate.

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz condemned Chipman for the TV hit, which he said raises “very serious concerns.” The nominee has shown a “consistent pattern of focusing on partisan priorities of Democrats at the expense of fulfilling our responsibility to the American people,” Cruz said.

“Did Mr. Chipman know that he was going on a communist propaganda show?” Cruz asked. “Did he know that it would be used as propaganda to tear down America? Did he know that it would be used as propaganda to cover up the atrocities in Communist China? We don’t know. We don’t know because this committee hadn’t had the chance to answer them. And what the committee leadership is saying is they don’t care. Doesn’t matter. Truth doesn’t matter. We got a partisan agenda to do. Don’t bother us with actually doing our jobs.”

McAllen, Texas, declares disaster after 7,000 COVID-infected illegals pour into city

The chaos at the border has risen to "disaster" levels in McAllen, Texas, where COVID-infected migrants are pouring in and the city can't stop them. So much for Kamala Harris's migration "root cause" solution, with her visits to showcase schools in Guatemala. And so much for Joe Biden doing his job as president, as Florida's Gov. Ron DeSantis noted yesterday.

According to Border Report:

McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — The South Texas border city of McAllen this week put up several tents to house an overflow of migrants with COVID-19 who have been released by federal authorities and have nowhere else to go. But the new tents drew such outcry from residents that late Wednesday city officials announced the facility was being moved.

Overnight Wednesday, six tents had been put up with a capacity to hold 260 migrants, McAllen City Manager Roel “Roy” Rodriguez told Border Report.

According to the city of McAllen, since mid-February of 2021, there have been over 7,000 confirmed COVID-19 positive immigrants released into the City of McAllen by CBP, including over 1,500 new cases in the past seven days.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” McAllen, TX Mayor Javier Villalobos (R) stated that the migrant situation is “getting horrible,” hotels are filling up, and migrants can’t be held “in one place unless they want to be.”

Villalobos said the situation is “getting horrible, and we do need some help.”

Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez told ValleyCentral in a previous interview that there is a nursing shortage and keeping up with COVID-19 hospitalization of residents has not been easy. In addition, the influx in asylum seekers testing positive for COVID-19 is also tipping the scale.

“But now we’re seeing that they’re coming in with a high infection for COVID, and there’s no room for them anymore,” said Cortez.

Cortez also told ValleyCentral the infection rate for migrants rose to a shocking 16%, doubling the numbers from last time.
