The tale of the doctor with the broken heart

Expect to see a lot more sad, puzzled stories like this in the months to come

Dr. Kimberly Becher seems like a very good human being.

I’m not being sarcastic.

Dr. Becher is a family medicine physician in West Virginia who spent the best part of a decade caring for underserved and poor patients in a county that didn’t have a single stoplight, much less a hospital.

She grew up not far from that county, became the high school valedictorian, got out and came back. Okay, fine, her Twitter feed is somewhat annoyingly woke, but she comes by it honestly.

I know all this about Dr. Becher (except the part about her Twitter) because the New York Times saw fit to write a long profile of her today, entitled “A Rural Doctor Gave Her All. Then Her Heart Broke.”

The article explains how in April 2021, Dr. Becher “suddenly felt as if she were having a heart attack. She left for the emergency room, barely able to see, her blood pressure dangerously high.”

Her tweet from April 24, 2021 offers more details: “250/125 with runs of vtach [ventricular tachycardia], troponins trending up, cath [cardiac catherization], ICU.” No wonder she wound up in intensive care - that blood pressure reading is an immediate cardiovascular emergency all by itself.

Fortunately, Dr. Becher was only 41 at the time of the crisis, and she was in good shape - she had been training for a marathon. She recovered fully, although she has given up on distance running.

But what caused Dr. Becher’s heart problems?

She was given a diagnosis of “Takotsubo’s cardiomyopathy,” sometimes called “broken heart disease.” Essentially, Takotsubo’s is a temporary weakening of the heart’s left ventricle, usually said to be caused by extreme stress. One paper describes it as “mimicking” a heart attack “but with only minimal release of cardiac enzymes.”

While Takotsubo’s can affect anyone, it most often develops in elderly women, often after they have suffered a severe emotional crisis such as the loss of a spouse. As Dr. Becher told the Times:

Takotsubo’s is typically caused by severe acute stress, something traumatic and abrupt. Mine was just from going to work every day and seemed super lame to me in the moment.

After all, Dr. Becher had been caring for underserved patients for years. She and the article both blame fights over Covid vaccinations - an interesting theory given that West Virginia had such HIGH vaccination rates in early 2021 the Centers for Disease Control actually lauded it.

Another crucial element of a Takotsubo’s diagnosis is that it is what physicians call a diagnosis of exclusion. Essentially, diagnoses of exclusion are given to patients as a last resort, when more conventional diagnoses do not fit. There is nothing wrong with them, but they are inherently somewhat unsatisfying - more prone to error than diagnoses that have stronger laboratory biomarkers.

As Becher described her illness on April 24: “Current diagnosis=takotsubo, literally from the #moralinjury of my job… I definitely had a moment of embarrassment at the diagnosis.”

So was there anything else that could have caused Dr. Becher’s sudden cardiac event - any new factor known to cause heart problems, especially in younger adults in good health?

Perhaps. And yet it goes not merely dismissed but completely unmentioned in the Times’s piece about her.

You’ve probably guessed by now what it might be.

Joe Biden Was Deeply Involved With Selling U.S. Natural Gas to the ChiComs, New Docs and Whistleblowers Reveal

Republicans on the House Oversight and Reform Committee have obtained bombshell documents proving that Joe Biden was deeply involved in the family business of selling American natural gas to the Chinese–while he was planning to run for President. According to multiple whistleblowers, the Biden family made promises to those who worked with them in 2017 and onward that they would “reap the rewards in a future Biden administration.” These explosive revelations “pose national security concerns,” Oversight Republicans proclaimed Tuesday night.

The Biden clan enriched itself by selling the natural resources to a Chinese firm closely affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)—just a few years before the cost of gas in the United States hit record highs, the Oversight Republicans stated.

In a letter to United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the ranking Republican on the Oversight Committee, alleged that according to whistleblowers, Joe Biden was heavily involved in this treachery.

“This comes to light at a time when the cost of natural gas is at a 14-year high and Americans struggle to pay their energy bills,” Comer wrote in the letter to Yellen. “The President has not only misled the American public about his past foreign business transactions, but he also failed to disclose that he played a critical role in arranging a business deal to sell American natural resources to the Chinese while planning to run for President.”

Comer sent a letter to Yellen in July complaining that the Treasury Department was restricting access to over 150 Suspicious Activity reports (SARs) on Hunter Biden, amid explosive revelations that came out from Biden’s “laptop from Hell,” and iPhone.

On Sept. 2, 2022, the Treasury Department stated in a letter to Committee Republicans, that the SARs may be provided “upon a written request stating the particular information desired, the criminal, tax or regulatory purpose for which the information is sought, and the official need for the information.”

In response, Comer said that “based on the documents provided in this letter, we request all SARs from Biden family transactions, including those involving President Biden, related to transactions with Chinese entities. We are concerned that the President may have compromised national security in his dealings with the country most adverse to U.S. interests—China. These SARs will inform our analysis of this matter.”

Comer said Oversight Republicans have obtained a “presentation” emailed to Hunter Biden’s firm Hudson West III LLC (Hudson West) on December 13, 2017. The document, translated from Mandarin Chinese, is titled, “Overview of the U.S. Natural Gas Industry Chain, and is concerned with selling American natural resources to China.”

“Jiaqi Bao, who created the presentation, was previously an employee of the CCP, and worked for Hunter Biden’s corporate entity Hudson West,” the letter states.

Comer provided Yellen with two maps that were part of a presentation emailed to Hunter Biden. The maps include sophisticated analysis written in Chinese, and show the United States carved up based on natural gas reserves “with particular emphasis on Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming.”

“The emails that accompany the transmitted maps reveal a plan to sell natural gas reserves to China via the same corporate entity branded on the presentation-Hudson West III LLC (Hudson West)–set up by Hunter Biden with officials from the Chinese company CEFC, at the time, one of the largest oil companies in China,” the letter stated:

SURPRISE! Activist group suing Ron DeSantis over Martha’s Vineyard flights got over a million from George Soros network

The activist group behind the lawsuit against Ron DeSantis over Martha’s Vineyard is flush with cash from the network of lefty billionaire George Soros. Anyone surprised?

So often in situations like this, if you look long enough, you’ll find the fingerprints of George Soros somewhere.

From FOX News:
Activists suing DeSantis over Martha’s Vineyard flights received over $1.3M from George Soros network

The activist group at the center of a class-action lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other Florida officials for migrant flights to Martha’s Vineyard has received nearly $1.4 million from George Soros’ Open Society network.

Lawyers for Civil Rights, a nonprofit immigrant advocacy group, filed the lawsuit on behalf of Alianza Americas, according to a press release Tuesday that described the latter group as “a network of migrant-led organizations supporting immigrants across the United States.”
Alianza Americas has received a total of $1,383,947 from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations between 2016 and 2020, OSF’s records show.

The grants came from three of his nonprofits: Open Society Institute, Open Society Policy Center and Foundation to Promote Open Society.

People on Twitter are working through their shock.

It’s not really that surprising, is it?

It’s almost like people expected this. Almost...
