GOP Rep. Nancy Mace OWNS trans activist over ‘extremist rhetoric’ on Twitter

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina questioned a trans activist at a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing today and it was pure gold.

Alejandra Caraballo was asked about possibly dangerous rhetoric on Twitter and after agreeing that it was a problem, Mace hauled out some problematic tweets from Caraballo.

From FOX News:
Mace then called up a picture of a tweet Caraballo sent over the summer, after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

“The 6 justices who overturned Roe should never know peace again,” Caraballo tweeted. “It is our civic duty to accost them every time they are in public. They are pariahs. Since women don’t have their rights, these justices should never have a peaceful moment in public again.”

Mace asked Caraballo if she believed her own tweet was a threat to democracy, and when Caraballo said she would like to provide “context” to her tweet, Mace shut her down.

“I have a question… yes or no,” Mace said. “Do you believe your rhetoric is a threat to democracy when you’re calling to accost a branch of government, the Supreme Court.”

“I don’t believe that’s a correct characterization of my statements,” Caraballo said.

Accused FTX Crypto Scammer Sam Bankman-Fried Claims He's The VICTIM of Anti-Semitism in Bid to Escape Charges

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried sought to escape charges for his shady crypto exchange's collapse by telling Congress that he's the victim of anti-Semitism.

From The Daily Mail, "Fallen FTX founder SBF and his parents arrive at Bahamas court - as his Congressional testimony blames depression, claims he's victim of anti-Semitism and that his failed crypto exchange is SOLVENT and can cover 1.8B losses":
Disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has been denied bail as he fights extradition to the United States in the Bahamas after being charged with one of the 'biggest financial frauds in American history'.

Bankman-Fried is accused of defrauding investors out of $1.8billion by convincing them his trading platform FTX was safe to use. He has been holed up in the Bahamas for weeks, but today was denied bail after prosecutors argued in court that he was a flight risk.

[...] Bankman-Fried was due to give testimony today about his doomed platform before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services.

Forbes obtained a written copy of the testimony he was expected to give.

It began: 'I would like to start by formally stating under oath: I f****d up. I know that it doesn't mean much to say that I'm sorry. And so I'm dedicating as much of myself as I can to do the right thing by customers.

'When all is said and done, I'll judge myself primarily by one metric: whether I have eventually been able to make customers whole. If I fail our customers in this regard, I have failed myself.'
But over the next 18 pages, he blamed anti-Semitism, lawyers and even his own ex-girlfriend for the breakdown of his company. Here's the excerpt from his planned testimony:

Disgraced CNN producer pleads GUILTY to child sex crime "The defendant solicited young girls, including the minor plaintiff, for the purpose of knowingly persuading, inducing, enticing and coercing them to engage in sexual activity..."

Former CNN senior producer John Griffin has pleaded guilty in federal court after being accused of child sex crimes and charged a year ago. He plead guilty to "using interstate commerce to entice and coerce a 9-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity at his Vermont ski house," per AP.

Two of the three charges against Griffin, 45, were dropped by the federal government as part of the agreement. According to the Associated Press, Griffin "must pay full restitution to the victims, an amount which will be determined by the court" and "has agreed to forfeit a Tesla vehicle, and electronic items and to donate half of the proceeds from the sale of his Vermont home and the upcoming sale of a Mercedes vehicle into the court registry."

Griffin’s sentencing is scheduled for March 2023. He faces a minimum of 10 years to life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, must pay full restitution to the victims of an amount to be determined by the court. After his prison sentence, he also likely faces supervised release with conditions which include participating in a sex offender treatment and registering as a sex offender and cannot have contact with anyone under the age of 18, except in the presence of probation officer approved adult and will be prohibited from being near schools, playgrounds, theme parks, and other areas where children congregate, unless approved in advance by the probation officer.

The ex-CNN producer has agreed to forfeit his Tesla as well as electronic items and to donate half of the proceeds from the sale of his Vermont home and a Mercedes vehicle into the court registry.

According to a federal indictment, Griffin, a resident of Stamford, Connecticut was charged by a grand jury in Vermont "with three counts of using a facility of interstate commerce to attempt to entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity," for coercing parents to allow their minor daughters as young as seven years old to engage in sexual activity in his Vermont ski home.

The US Attorney's office in Vermont wrote in a statement last December that Griffin "sought to persuade parents to allow him to train their daughters to be sexually submissive."

According to the indictment, between April and July 2020, Griffin used online messaging platforms such as Google Hangouts to contact parents with underage daughters and told them "that a 'woman is a woman regardless of her age,' and that women should be sexually subservient and inferior to...
