Young ‘Swedish’ gang leader sentenced to 18 years for ordering “child soldiers” to murder
The Söderton district court handed down the sentence on Tuesday after finding the case’s primary defendant, Ibou Badjie, guilty of incitement to attempted murder, attempted murder, and incitement to preparation for murder, among other charges that relate to three murder plans that were intended to be carried out on January 20th, 21st, and 22nd, Aftonbladet reports.
Badjie, on behalf of the gang leader Rawa Majid, also known as the “Kurdish Fox,” is said to have caused fourteen and fifteen-year-old boys to carry out serious violent crimes, one which saw automatic weapons fired at an apartment door in Fruängen when several people were home, including children.
Several others, including one twenty-year-old, two eighteen-year-olds, and two fifteen-year-olds were also sentenced in the case. The two fifteen-year-olds are charged with having tried to kill a young man in Enskededalen in southern Stockholm.
There are three more boys who are co-defendants but they were not included in the indictment since they were under fifteen years old when the crimes were committed.
Police say the crime wave came about as a part of a conflict between the so-called “Foxtrot network,” which is a criminal organization led by ‘the Kurdish Fox” and the Dalen network, a drug gang that operates out of Enskededalen in southern Stockholm. According to investigators, much of the gang violence that has taken place in Stockholm in 2023 stems from the same gang rivalry.
