MISTAKEN IDENTITY: Reckless Gestapo-Like Search Shines Light on Today's FBI

The FBI raided an Alaska woman’s home and place of work last week in search of Nancy Pelosi’s stolen laptop. However, the woman says it was a case of mistaken identity.

If you aren’t familiar with the story, Pelosi’s laptop – which was used “only for presentations” – disappeared from her office during the Capitol riot on January 6. Back in January, a woman was arrested in connection with the laptop, though it has yet to be recovered.

Marilyn Hueper, owner of Homer Inn & Spa in Homer, Alaska, said federal agents broke down the doors of her home – which doubles as a bed and breakfast – confiscating laptop computers and cell phones.

What’s worse, they proceeded to handcuff her, her husband and their guests during the raid.

Hueper said the FBI conducted the search along with a Capitol police officer, and that the agents “forensically audited” her husband’s cell phone. She added that agents claimed no one answered their knocks on the door, but the search party never knocked.

“I think almost right off the bat, they said, ‘Well you probably know why we’re here,’ or something like that. It’s like, yeah, no, not really. And they said, ‘Well we’re here for Nancy Pelosi’s laptop.’ And I said, ‘Oh,’” Hueper told a local radio station, per the Daily Wire.

The agents then showed her a photo of a woman who participated in the riot that may be in possession of Pelosi’s laptop. Hueper said the woman looked “remarkably” similar to her, but she told the agents that while she was present at the rally outside the Capitol building, she never went inside.

“I’m like, ‘Wait a minute. Is that her? That’s clearly not me. Why did you not show me this to start with?’” Hueper said.

“I don’t mean to be disrespectful and laughing, but this is really surreal and strange,” she said she told the agents. “I still think it’s funny that they want to take me as someone who was actually there, instead of lost, eating hot dogs at the other end of the Mall.”

Hueper said it was comforting knowing that Pelosi’s laptop is really missing and that the search was not a “conspiracy theory.”

“I said, ‘Oh, so it was stolen and it’s at large, good to know. I thought maybe it was...

Who Poses the Real Threat to Democracy?

The long running campaign to paint Republicans as a threat to democracy has backfired.

Approximately a week after voters shocked Democrats by electing Donald Trump as president, Democratic donors and high-ranking officials met to discuss “taking back power,” from Trump. As noted by Politico, “if the agenda is any indication, liberals plan full-on trench warfare against Trump from Day One.” The attendees included House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. In mid-December the speaker’s daughter, Christine Pelosi, one of the electors appointed to cast a vote in the Electoral College, helped launch one of the most audacious efforts to reverse an American presidential election in history. She and many of her co-conspirators had a plan to defeat Trump by flipping the electors who performed the little-noticed but crucial task of representing actual voters to the Electoral College.

Christine Pelosi and her co-conspirators wrote the director of national intelligence to demand a “briefing” on the “intelligence” supposedly showing collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. She wrote,

The Electors require to know from the intelligence community whether there are ongoing investigations into ties between Donald Trump, his campaign or associates, and Russian government interference in the election, the scope of those investigations, how far those investigations may have reached, and who was involved in those investigations. We further require a briefing on all investigative findings, as these matters directly impact the core factors in our deliberations of whether Mr. Trump is fit to serve as President of the United States.

We know now that Pelosi was referring to the Steele dossier, the original source of the Russia collusion hoax. Steele wrote it while in the pay of Hillary Clinton herself. She commissioned it to smear Donald Trump with a whispering campaign meant to distract from her own legal problems and kneecap her political rival. The Steele dossier was a work of fiction and a fraud. Although the Pelosi plan did not influence the final outcome in the Electoral College, it did result in two Trump electors disregarding thousands of lawfully-cast ballots to substitute their own judgment.

Last month, the Washington Post finally acknowledged the failure of the long running campaign to paint Republicans as a threat to democracy. Like so many other political messages, it was carried out by multiple supposedly independent news outlets. Business Insider recently wrote a headline typical of the genre, “The GOP has proven to be an even greater threat to democracy than Trump in 2021.” What’s really being said is that the very existence of a party in opposition to the Democrats “threatens democracy.”

Yes, we could be so much more democratic if we had only one party like that Jeffersonian paradise in the People’s Republic of Korea. Business Insider went on to repeat verbatim the official talking points justifying a one-party regime.

But are Republicans actually seeking to shut down democracy? No. Instead the article equates opposition to the highly partisan election-related legislation now pending in Congress with opposition to “saving” democracy from the bogeyman of “voter suppression.” Opposition to the bill, in the logic of the Business Insider author, is exactly the same as opposition to democracy itself. Neat trick.

The Heritage Foundation, which maintains a database recording more than 1,000 incidents of confirmed voter fraud, has challenged the central claim of this pending legislation, i.e. that it will “save democracy.” Instead, Heritage argues, “H.R. 1 is an 800-page monstrosity that would usurp the role of the states. It would not only eliminate basic safety protocols, but mandate new, reckless rules and procedures.” These new procedures include a provision that would...

Pelosi Signed Articles of Impeachment With Pens That Looked Like Bullets

Even CNN commentators called signing “unusual” and “jarring”.

Nancy Pelosi signed the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump with pens that looked like bullets as she and other Democrats laughed.

“These are the pens Nancy Pelosi used to sign the articles & she gave them out to colleagues. Wow they look like bullet cases,” commented Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.

Son of Alleged Pelosi Attacker Breaks Silence: 'For All We Know He Was Some Sort of Sex Slave'

The son of a man charged with the attempted murder of Paul Pelosi is speaking out.

Nebosvod “Sky” Gonzalez described his father David DePape as a man traumatized from a lifetime of abuse, speaking in an interview with the Daily Mail published Wednesday.

‘There is almost no person on this planet that has gone through so much suffering,” Gonalez said of DePape.

The 19-year-old doubts prosecutors’ charges against DePape, expressing his uncertainty that his father ever even attacked the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“For all that we know he was some sort of sex slave, as Elon Musk pointed out,” Gonzalez said of his father — referencing a since-deleted Musk tweet.

That’s quite the take on the situation, especially considering it’s coming from the guy’s own son.

Musk didn’t go so far as to claim DePape was a “sex slave,” but he did share a since-removed article from the Santa Monica Observer that theorized DePape and Paul Pelosi were in a sexual relationship.

Gonzalez further rejected the idea that DePape was a conservative political fanatic — a claim leveled by progressives in an attempt to chalk up the alleged attack to partisan politics.

“My father had progressive views,” Gonzalez said of DePape.

“He believed in human rights, equality, and justice. He was against the war, he was a peace activist, hardly a right-wing conservative, as he has been branded.”

The guy just so happens to be a Canadian illegal immigrant and a hemp-jewelry-making nudist activist.

The spitting image of a hardened conservative, right?

Oxane “Gypsy” Taub, Gonzalez’s mother, previously described DePape as “mentally ill,” according to the Daily Mail.

She claimed that DePape came under the delusion that he personally was Jesus Christ after he disappeared for a period of time.

Hard, definitive evidence corroborating some of the more colorful theories surrounding the alleged home invasion hasn’t materialized.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t questions to be asked about the incident.

It’s more than fair to question how DePape managed to enter the Pelosi family home as if he were a master burglar.

Former neighbors of the Pelosis have indicated the residence was always guarded by a heavy security detail, which seemingly failed to stop DePape.

DePape plead not guilty to a laundry list of state charges stemming from the incident on Wednesday, having already plead as such to federal charges, according to the Daily Mail.

San Francisco Police Department officers accused DePape of also planning attacks on Hunter Biden and California Gov. Gavin Newsom in Wednesday’s preliminary hearing, according to...

The Truth About Border Walls’ Effectiveness

“Everyone is entitled to his own opinion but not to his own facts.”

That pithy observation is attributed to the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who served in the Senate from 1977 to 2001.

The final two years of Moynihan’s stint in the Senate overlapped the first two years of that of his fellow New York Democrat, Sen. Charles Schumer.

President Donald Trump, at a rally set for Monday night on the border in El Paso, Texas, should remind Schumer of Moynihan’s maxim in their fight over the need for more walls and fencing along the U.S.-Mexican border to help stem the flood tide of illegal immigration.

Schumer and his House counterpart, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., are entitled to their opinions about Trump’s proposed border wall, but they aren’t entitled to their own facts.

In their rebuttal to the president’s Jan. 9 nationally televised address outlining the need for a border barrier and his request for $5.7 billion in funding for them, both described the proposed wall as “ineffective”—Pelosi once and Schumer twice.

In her rebuttal to Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night, 2018 Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams didn’t echo Schumer and Pelosi’s “ineffective” claim, but she advanced an argument that was equally fallacious.

“America is made stronger by the presence of immigrants, not walls,” Abrams said, disingenuously omitting the key adjective in this debate, “illegal.”

Insisting that walls are “ineffective” over and over again doesn’t make it true. The facts on the ground—both in the U.S. and around the world—not only don’t support that opinion, they decisively refute it.

Walls along four Customs and Border Protection sectors—El Paso; San Diego, California; and Tucson and Yuma, Arizona—have reduced illegal immigration “by at least 90 percent,” according to the Republican National Committee’s Borderfacts.com page.

Byron York of the Washington Examiner recently cited figures from the Center for Immigration Studies showing that before construction of border barriers in Yuma, the Border Patrol apprehended 138,438 illegal immigrants in 2005, compared with 26,244 last year. While not 90 percent, that’s still a dramatic drop.

The comparable before-and-after figures for the San Diego sector, according to the Border Patrol, were more than 565,581 in 1992 and 26,086 in 2017—a 95 percent reduction.

Meanwhile, USA Today reported last May that “[s]ince the start of Europe’s migrant crisis in 2015, at least 800 miles of fences have been erected by Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Slovenia, and others.”

Do Schumer and Pelosi know something all these other countries don’t? Not according to Hungary, which said that fencing on its border with Serbia helped reduce illegal immigration by nearly 100 percent since 2015, according to the USA Today report.

Israel’s fencing along its borders with the Gaza Strip and West Bank, as well as with Egypt and Jordan, has likewise all but eliminated illegal immigration and terrorist attacks. (The Jewish state announced Feb. 3 that it was beginning construction of an additional 40 miles of 20-foot-high, state-of-the-art fencing.)

“Walls should not be controversial,” Trump said Jan. 25, when he called Pelosi’s bluff and agreed to reopen the government for three weeks so bipartisan negotiations on border security could proceed. “Every Border Patrol agent I’ve talked to has told me that walls work. It’s just common...

Pelosi Omits Christians as She Lists Religious Persecutions Around World

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi failed to mention Christians as she listed religious persecutions around the world Thursday.

The House speaker spoke Thursday morning in Washington, D.C., at the National Prayer Breakfast where she prayed for those who are persecuted because of their religion. She listed people of Buddhist, Muslim, and Jewish faiths before generalizing about other persecuted religions.

“Oh, Lord, we thank all gathered at this prayer breakfast for lifting our voices for the poor and the persecuted, the millions who are missing or murdered because of their faith,” Pelosi, who is a Catholic, prayed.

“Let us pray for the Panchen Lama and all the Tibetan Buddhists imprisoned in China or missing for following their faith,” she said. Pelosi also prayed for the “1 to 3 million Uighurs in China forced from their homes and incarcerated in camps” and for “Raif Badawi in Saudi Arabia and for all the writers and religious free thinkers imprisoned for speaking their minds.”

The House speaker also prayed for “priests, rabbis, pastors, and religious leaders around the world whose freedoms have been stolen because of what they believe,” for victims of anti-Semitism, and for the “countless Muslims and other religious minorities, often unseen and unnamed, who have been abducted, oppressed, and abused because of who they are and what they believe, their faith.”

Pelosi failed to specifically mention Christians during her prayer, though Christians are severely persecuted around the world for their beliefs.

Over 245 million Christians lived in places where they endured serious religious persecution between Nov. 1, 2017, and Oct. 31, 2018, according to Open Doors USA, an organization that aids persecuted Christians worldwide.

The organization also found that during this same time period, 4,305 Christians were killed for their faith, 1,847 churches and Christian buildings were attacked, and 3,150 believers were...

Dem civil war: Pelosi BLASTS Ocasio-Cortez, far-Left faction; ‘They’re four people, that’s how many votes they’ve got’

We have wondered how long it would take House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to tire of the antics routinely expressed by her far-Left ‘Democratic Socialist’ faction, and that question appears to have been answered.

In an interview with The New York Times, Pelosi blasted Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.) for their often outlandish, outrageous behavior and statements in attempts to advance an agenda that is to the Left of the Castro brothers and Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro.

Specifically, she noted that the four don’t have much support outside of their social media followers, likely a reference to Congress, where rumors have been surfacing for weeks that senior Democrats schooled in the ways of Washington have become increasingly frustrated with them.

“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,” Pelosi told the Times. “But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”

In particular, the Times was addressing a recently-passed $4.6 billion border assistance package that Ocasio-Cortez and...

We Are Governed by People Who Suck

Joe Biden’s handlers are actively promoting the same decline they’ve engineered everywhere they’ve been.

Let’s face it: Joe Biden sucks.

Everything about him sucks. He sucks as a messenger, his economic policies suck, he completely sucks as a truth-teller. He sucks in the integrity department.

And people suffering from the debilitating effects of old age can tell you that absolutely sucks. You are not the person you used to be, and you can’t do the things you used to do.

Joe Biden sucked before he became increasingly, cruelly incapacitated by the decline of his faculties. Thursday’s Potemkin sham of a press conference, in which pre-written questions and scripted answers replaced an honest dialogue with the American people over the state of our union, made that clear.

That press conference sucked. It wasn’t a press conference; it was a book report.

We shouldn’t have been forced to embrace Biden’s suck.

Biden’s family sucks for putting him, and us, through what’s going to obviously get much worse over time.

This man has the toughest job in the world, and it’s obvious he’s not up to the task. If you can’t answer questions off the cuff from an almost universally friendly press corps, it means you suck at the job.

We’ve had presidents who have sucked before. But not since Woodrow Wilson had a stroke in office and finished his second presidential term as an invalid, mostly comatose, with his wife running the country as a proxy president, have we had a situation sucking as badly as this one clearly will.

What’s worse is even now, we really don’t know who’s running the country. It’s supposed to be the guy we elected. The president is supposed to be in charge.

Is Joe Biden in charge? He doesn’t even know what he’s doing here. He says it all the time.

That sucks. And the world is watching.

For more than three decades now the Democrat Party has had as its chief project the covering up of just how badly it sucks.

If I had to guess I would say we’re being governed by a cabal of four, maybe five, people: Jill Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, and Susan Rice. Rice is probably a proxy for Barack Obama, so you can toss him in as a Billy Preston to the Four Beatles of the American Apocalypse.

Or maybe the Spice Girls. Because these people are not the Beatles. The Beatles didn’t suck.

Pelosi especially sucks. How badly does she suck? She’s actively cheering on the insane Zoe Lofgren, who is the chair of the House Administration Committee, in her efforts to unseat a duly elected Republican, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, who won Iowa’s Second Congressional District seat by a razor-thin margin of six votes. Miller-Meeks was certified the winner of her race against Democrat Rita Hart by the state of Iowa, but Pelosi and Lofgren are trying to toss her out of Congress.

Even Pelosi’s own members, Democrats who suck so badly they can’t bring themselves to vote against their party when it’s obvious the things they’re being made to vote for will destroy them politically in districts where they had to lie and call themselves centrists in order to win, are now screaming about the suck they know they’ll have to...

NRCC Chair: Pelosi ‘Trying to Subvert Democracy’ by Overturning Certified House Election

Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN), chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), told SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday House Democrats led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) are “trying to subvert democracy” and “disenfranchise the Iowa voters” by attempting to “overturn certified election results” in Iowa.

Recently, the House Administration Committee, chaired by Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), has been working on a push to overturn Iowa’s state-certified Second Congressional District election. Rita Hart claims 22 legal votes should be counted but were wrongfully tossed out. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) officially won the election by six votes.

Emmer told host Matthew Boyle, “Nancy Pelosi and her radical left socialist Democrat majority are literally trying to subvert democracy and overturn certified election results, and they are going to deny any Iowa voter. Frankly, they’re going to disenfranchise the Iowa voters who have already decided this thing.”

He went on, “As we go forward, Matt, I can guarantee you we at the National Republican Congressional Committee will make sure that the voters hold them accountable for this partisan power grab in November of ’22 if, in fact, they do it. That will be the issue.”

Boyle pointed out that multiple Democrat members have already voiced their opinions about overturning an election that has been certified over the recent weeks.

Boyle also pointed out that Breitbart News has reached out to Rep. Cindy Axne’s (D-IA) office for a statement on the partisan politics since Axne is Iowa’s last remaining Democrat member of Congress. “She’s issued the same statement over and over and over again since December. I think Cindy Axne — it’s incumbent on her that she needs to say what she thinks about what’s happing in her own state,” Boyle added.

“Matt, I think she has said it. I think she’s said loud and clear to the voters in Iowa that she thinks Nancy Pelosi and the radical socialist agenda she’s pushing is more important to her than the voters in Iowa. I mean, she’s been completely silent on this throughout this process,” Emmer stated.

Emmer continued, “As you say, she hasn’t issued any new comment on the socialist Democrats’ efforts to subvert the will of the Iowa voters since...

Progressives Want Mail Voting, Here’s why.

Federal data show that in the 2016 and 2018 elections, millions of ballots sent through the mail were never counted as valid votes. Many were sent to invalid addresses. Others were rejected for errors. And in 2018 alone, 10,475,573 were just listed as vanished for reasons “unknown.”

It’s no surprise then, to some, that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made federally mandated vote-by-mail requirements her top legislative response to the Coronavirus pandemic. Democrats have long lusted for federal mandates over our elections. They want Washington D.C. controlling the rules for elections. They hate how the Constitution gave power over elections to the states.

They also never let a crisis go to waste.

When the Coronavirus pandemic exploded, the entire institutional architecture of the Left awakened and began to demand the same thing: federally mandated all-mail elections.

Never before have we seen such sudden and uniform frenzy around a single issue on the Left. From abortion activists, to green energy zealots, to the Sierra Club to even the Union of Concerned Scientists, federally mandated all-mail ballots became the rallying cry. The latter group had evolved from serving as a mouthpiece to echo the Soviet Union on defense issues all the way to demanding that we election the next Congress through the mail.

Pelosi almost got what she wanted too. In fact, the House passed the plan to nationalize elections. Her plan included mandated vote by mail nationwide, same day voter registration and at least a month of early voting.

Pelosi’s vote by mail mandate puts the election of the president into the hands of the people who routinely deliver to your home your neighbor’s mail. Thankfully, Senate leaders stopped the federal takeover, even after Pelosi made it her final negotiating holdout.

Think about that. Her final holdout demand wasn’t speedy FDA approval of a vaccine, or boosting respirator manufacturing. She dug in on how we vote. She wanted elections to move behind closed doors, out of sight of election officials and observers.

In just the 2018 election in California, San Diego County sent out 69,700 mail ballots that went to bad addresses, bounced, disappeared and ultimately never came back as a valid vote. Orange County, California saw 34,257 ballots fail in the mail.

Unfortunately, mail ballots are the easiest way for fraudsters to steal votes. I know this because I tried a case in federal court where mail ballot fraud helped keep a political machine in power. In Noxubee County, Mississippi, mail ballots were snatched from mailboxes by swarms of collectors. They took the ballots to the people who lived at the houses, and helpfully offered to vote for them. These collectors were paid by the political machine for every voted ballot they turned in. The voters, usually poor or minority, gladly allowed their vote to be stolen.

Progressives don’t have a problem with this arrangement. They view the electoral process through the lens of race and class. If a ballot collector comes to a house to make sure a ballot sent to that house was cast, then to progressives, the collector is doing a public service. They are giving voice to the voiceless. They assume that class and race – at least in a general election – would make the preferences of voter entirely obvious. So what is the harm if a mail ballot collector simply harvests a ballot from the voter? Aren’t we better off if more people vote?

The ballot harvester exploiting mail ballots relies on this lie. Their twisted worldview says that the failure of the downtrodden to participate in American elections is what is preventing utopian progressive policies from becoming reality. They claim barriers exist to the ballot box. They speak of voter ID, voter registration requirements or polling places as examples of disenfranchisement. But they never speak of the apathy or disinterest that many...

McCarthy renews call for Pelosi to remove Swalwell from House Intel, says FBI should brief entire committee

The top House Republican renewed his call for Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell to be removed from the House Intelligence Committee over his relationship with suspected Chinese spy Christine Fang and said the FBI should give every member of the intelligence committee the same briefing he received Friday.

Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, called upon House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to pull Swalwell, a California Democrat, from the sensitive post. He told Maria Bartiromo of Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News that the entire intelligence committee deserved the same FBI briefing about Fang that only he and Pelosi had received, arguing no one could hear the classified details that he had and still think Swalwell should be on the committee, with oversight over the CIA and the intelligence community.

“It was just the Speaker Nancy Pelosi and myself. It was a very thorough briefing. No one that was in that room could walk out and say Eric Swalwell should be on the Intel Committee. ... They had a briefing before in 2015, and I don’t know what that briefing was like compared to this one, but it could not have been the same. The one answer that I got out of that briefing was there is no way Eric Swalwell should continue to serve on the Intel Committee,” McCarthy said. “And the challenge here is the leaders of both parties are the only people who select to go on the Intel Committee. That is why today, Maria, what I’m going to request, that every single member on the House Intelligence Committee gets the exact same briefing from the FBI that I did, because if this individual is sitting on this committee, Eric Swalwell, they’ve got to know the background of what has gone on. I can’t talk about the classified part, but you know what’s out there in the press.”

Fang Fang, also known as Christine Fang, a Chinese national believed to be working with China’s Ministry of State Security, conducted an extensive political influence operation between 2011 and 2015 on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party in the Bay Area and elsewhere, according to a report by Axios that cited U.S. intelligence officials. Swalwell's association with Fang, which he has refused to describe in detail, reportedly lasted from 2011 to 2015. Swalwell was elected to the House in 2012.

Fang is suspected of targeting other politicians in California and elsewhere in the country, including romantic relationships with at least two Midwestern mayors. She reportedly acted as a financial bundler for Swalwell and helped place at least one intern in...

Nancy Pelosi Unveils $3 Trillion, 1,815-Page Leftist Coronavirus Bill

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) unveiled her $3 trillion phase four coronavirus bill on Tuesday that serves as a “policy wishlist” for Democrats and progressives.

Pelosi unveiled the Heroes Act, which is a 1,815-page bill that the House will likely vote on Tuesday.

The legislation was not negotiated with congressional Republicans or the Donald Trump administration, and even if it passes through the House, it will likely languish in the Senate.

Politico reported in May that the legislation serves as more of a wishlist for the House Democrat conference’s most progressive lawmakers.

Politico wrote:
Privately, several House Democrats concede their latest bill feels like little more than an effort to appease the most liberal members of the caucus, many of whom were chafed that their most important priorities were minimized or ignored entirely in previous coronavirus negotiations.
The Heroes Act reportedly contains many leftist provisions in the bill, including:

  • $755 million for the government for Washington, DC. The bill would also allow the D.C. government to participate in the Federal Reserve’s Municipal Liquidity (MLF) to support additional lending to the city.
  • $1 million for the National Science Foundation to study the spread of coronavirus-related “disinformation.”
  • $10 million for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as well as $10 million fo the National Endowment for the Humanities.
  • Eliminates limitations on the federal deduction for the state and local taxes (SALT). Republicans limited this deduction through the Trump Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The SALT deduction primarily benefits wealthy, largely Democrat states.
  • Grants additional aid for State and local government bailouts. The bill contains $500 billion in funding for state government relief and $375 billion in aid to local governments. Senate Republicans such as Sens. Rick Scott (R-FL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) have contended this will particularly aid fiscally irresponsible blue states such as California, New York, and Illinois to the detriment of more fiscally responsible states such as Texas and Florida.
  • $25 million for migrant and seasonal farmworkers, including emergency support services through the Department of Labor.
  • $1.7 billion for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions, $20 million for Howard University, $11 million for Gallaudet University, $11 million for the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
  • $15 million to maintain operations, rental assistance supportive services, and other actions to mitigate the impact on low-income people with HIV/AIDS through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
  • Create a two month special enrollment period for Obamacare. The bill also extends full premium subsidies to allow workers to maintain their health insurance coverage through COBRA.
  • Allows Attorney General William Barr to make grants to states to create state-run hate crime reporting hotlines.
  • Relief for up to $10,000 of up-front debt relief for all Department of Education loan borrowers.
  • Authorizes up to $50 million in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) “environmental justice” grants to investigate or address the disproportionate impact of coronavirus in environmental communities.
  • $75 billion for housing assistance.
  • Mandatory early voting for every state and mandatory mail-in ballots for every state. Nate Madden, a press secretary for the House Oversight Committee Republicans, said it would be a “nightmare scenario for voter fraud.”
  • Allows wealthy people who make money from dividends and royalties to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, which is designed for lower-income Americans.
  • Extends assistance designed for nonprofits to political action groups and chamber of commerce-style associations. Open Markets Institute fellow Matt Stoller called it a “corporate lobbyist bailout.”

Pelosi’s Heroes Act represents a staggering amount of spending.

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) noted that the bill has “70 appropriations in excess of a billion dollars each.”

Norman asked rhetorically, “When you walk out of secret negotiations with an 1800 page, $3 trillion bill that thas no chance of becoming law, why is that portrayed as...

Crazy: Nancy Pelosi Says Border Situation Has Improved Under Biden

What is “good” about rape, disease and human trafficking?

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told reporters Wednesday that the situation at the border has improved since Joe Biden took office and that it is now on a “good path”.

“The fact is that we’re on a good path at the border under the leadership of President Biden … we were in a very bad situation under the Trump administration,” Pelosi proclaimed:

Pelosi’s statement is nuts, by anyone’s standards.

Even the White House has admitted there is a humanitarian crisis on the border. What is good about that?

There are now over 17,000 unaccompanied migrant children in facilities that are only equipped to hold a few hundred.

The conditions are squalid, with illegals packed in together sleeping on concrete floors.

Many are suffering from diseases, including Covid.

Is that good?

The Cartels are engaged in people trafficking, and footage has emerged of babies being thrown over the border fences.

Women and children are being sexually abused as they attempt to cross the border, both by the traffickers and by other migrants.

But thank goodness Trump is out and Biden is in.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) has warned “The president and the vice president of the United States and the Democratic Party are so concerned about placating the left for open borders, children are allegedly being sexually assaulted on...

Pelosi Names Eric (bang bang fang fang) Swalwell As House Impeachment Manager

Speaker Nancy Pelosi shocked many in Washington by appointing Eric Swalwell as a house managers in the impeachment of President Donald Trump as he continues to face calls for his removal from the House Intelligence Committee due to his alleged intimate relationship with a Chinese spy. Swalwell has been bunkered down to avoid questions from the media and the public, but he will now be one of those prosecuting the case against the President.

He allegedly first met the spy, Fang Fang or Christine Fang, in 2011. She not only raised money for Swalwell but reportedly had a personal relationship with him. She also pushed successfully for his office to accept an intern. He cut ties with her in 2015 after the FBI contacted him. Pelosi made no mention of the scandal in heralding Swalwell’s credentials:
“Congressman Swalwell serves on House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where he chairs the Intelligence Modernization and Readiness Subcommittee, and on the Judiciary Committee,” Pelosi’s office said in a statement. “He is a former prosecutor and is the son and brother of law enforcement officers. He is serving his fifth term in Congress.”
Usually a speaker selects House managers to reinforce the credibility and integrity of the case against a president. Even before the current scandal, Swalwell was viewed as a member who was a raw partisan. Last year, it was revealed that (despite long denials) the FBI did send an agent to report on his observations within the Trump campaign. As I discussed in a column, Democratic members spent years mocking allegations that there was any spying or surveillance of Trump or his campaign by the FBI. That was just a conspiracy theory. Now however there is proof that the FBI used a briefing in August 2016 of then candidate Trump to gather information for “Crossfire Hurricane,” the Russia investigation. It turns out that it did not really matter after all and Rep. Eric Swalwell did not miss a step. Swalwell declared that such targeting of the opposing party and its leading presidential candidate was “the right thing to do.” That’s it. A conspiracy theory suddenly becomes a commendable act.

Previously, Swalwell also declared that if President Donald Trump refused to...

Pelosi Loses It During CNN Interview on Coronavirus Relief

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) exploded on CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer in an interview Tuesday about coronavirus stimulus negotiations.

Pelosi accused Blitzer of being a Republican apologist after he suggested meeting President Donald Trump halfway on a deal and not letting "the perfect be the enemy of the good." She demanded he show proper "respect" for her work on COVID relief, and the testy exchange ended with Blitzer noting citizens in Pelosi's San Francisco district begging for...

Pelosi again exposes impeachment as just a cynical political show

Speaker Nancy Pelosi stepped out from behind the curtain Thursday to order up articles of impeachment against President Trump — once again exposing the official process as merely a show.

Her approach has been cavalier from the start, when she announced an “official impeachment inquiry” back on Sept. 24 — yet didn’t allow an actual House vote to make it official until Oct. 31, after weeks of leaked testimony from closed-door hearings had ensured that she’d have the votes.

And it’s only gotten worse. “The facts are uncontested,” she said Thursday — then whipped off “facts” that in reality are vigorously contested.

Namely: “The president abused his power for his own personal political benefit at the expense of our national security by withholding military aid and a crucial Oval Office meeting in exchange for an announcement of an investigation into his political rival.”

That is indeed what Democrats say Trump did. But they haven’t remotely established it as fact, and certainly aren’t trying all that hard to do so. Most important, as law professor Jonathan Turley testified Wednesday, they haven’t shown his intent was corrupt, rather than a sincere effort to get to the bottom of scandals he believed had been covered up. Which means that they haven’t shown he abused his powers in any way.

And while they’ve asked for the testimony of those in the best position to know, such as former national security adviser John Bolton, they’ve refused to push the matter in court after the president objected, as is his right, on grounds of executive privilege.

Pelosi cited the “separation of powers, three co-equal branches, each a check and balance on the other” as the heart of what she’s supposedly protecting from Trump. Yet that doctrine gives Trump the right to seek a judiciary ruling on executive privilege.

Yes, it would take a few weeks. But it’s the only way the House could build a case with a real chance of convincing the Senate to remove Trump from office.

If Pelosi were truly out to protect the republic from the threat she claims Trump poses,

Permissible and Impermissible Incendiary Speech?

For many on the Left, what most see as incendiary and violent rhetoric is simply contextualized as the necessary
talk of social justice.

United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) hit the airwaves to connect the recent assault on Paul Pelosi with “fascism” and “white nationalism.” She insists that both are now ubiquitous. And both prompt increasing politically motivated violence. (Ocasio-Cortez remains oblivious to the greatest sustained political violence in our recent history; the 120 days of Black Lives Matter and Antifa-fueled rioting, arson, looting, and mayhem of summer and fall 2020—often cheered on or defended by public officials and social media.)

The deplorable violent attack on Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), has been described as the logical reification of increasing bitter political discourse. Shrill accusations spread even as full details of the attack are still not known. But the general picture of the assailant is one of an unhinged conspiracy freak of all flavors. He seems to have been a lunatic, drug-crazed white supremacist and anti-Semite, a former hemp jeweler, and nudist, who was either homeless or was living in a cluttered hippie-like commune in Berkeley plastered with pride and BLM flags.

Nonetheless, almost immediately the Left has seized on the attack to blame supposed right-wing political rhetoric as the cause.

As we enter the final week before the midterms and likely near-historic Democratic losses in Congress, this effort to manipulate violence in the news for last-minute political advantage will increase—but certainly it is not new.

In late October 2018, after the despicable mass lethal shooting of worshipers in the Pittsburgh Tree of Life synagogue, the Left immediately blamed Donald Trump and his supporters. That useful pre-midterm narrative insisted that Trump had provided the rhetorical fireworks that set off anti-Semite and conspiracy nut, Robert Gregory Bowers.

The killer came from an atrocious family background. He was a known loner and outsider who came to embrace white nationalism. But in his incoherent rants and postings, he had made it clear that he was also no fan of Donald Trump. He considered the president pro-Jewish (Trump’s son-in law is Jewish and his daughter a Jewish convert) and a “globalist.” That fact, apparently, was of no importance. For the next week before the midterms, the media saturated coverage of supposed Trump culpability for Bowers’ crazy violence.

In general, the Left has three predictable characteristics when it seizes upon pre-election news of shootings and assaults.
Things Just Happen to Conservatives

Violence of any sort of against conservative political figures rarely has anything to do with combustible rhetoric emanating from the Left.

When New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin was recently physically attacked on stage by a troubled alcoholic David G. Jakubonis (released into an alcoholic recovery program from police custody a few weeks after his attempt on Zeldin’s life), the media made no effort to tie the assault to politically driven rhetoric.

When Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was severely injured by a crazed neighbor, there was no suggestion that left-wing extremist talk, and in particular political attacks on Paul, had pushed the assailant over the edge—although there was plenty of undisguised liberal schadenfreude at Paul’s injuries. For example, in a March 2020 tweet, Christine Pelosi (Nancy and Paul’s daughter) snarked: “Rand Paul’s neighbor was right.”

James Hodgkinson was a declared left-wing political activist and former Bernie Sanders campaign worker who went hunting for Republican legislators and ended up shooting six people—among them Representative Steven Scalise (R-La.), the House majority whip at the time, who nearly died.

The media did not attempt to tie the unstable Hodgkinson to often hysterical anti-Trump and anti-MAGA rhetoric of the time. And the matter was mostly forgotten as the work of...
