US transferred over $10 billion to Iran in exchange for nuclear agreement
An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed Tuesday's disclosure by the Wall Street Journal that the Obama administration has paid Tehran more than $10 billion in cash, gold and other assets since 2013.
Bahram Ghasemi said in a Farsi-language interview with Iran's IRNA news agency that "the $10 billion figure just scratches the surface of the total amount given to Iran by the United States over the past several years."
