Florida Police Union Boycott Miami Dolphins After National Anthem Protest
The Broward County Police Benevolent Association urged its union members to toss their tickets in response to the actions of three players on the team. Dolphins receivers Albert Wilson and Kenny Stills took a knee as the national anthem played, and defensive end Robert Quinn raised his clenched fist as a symbol of black power.
The police association’s vice president Rod Skirvin told the Miami Herald that the protests were a "slap in the face" to men and women who put their lives on the line in service of their country. "We have a lot of police officers in the county who are ex-military. It’s not just a slap in the face to our military—past and present—but to all law enforcement officers across the country."
Skirvin told the newspaper that the protests were "disrespectful and disgusting," adding that "as long as the protest continues, we will protest our attendance at the Dolphins games and continue to stay away from the NFL and its products."
South Florida police unions had previously accepted an invitation from the NFL to attend a football game to honor first responders, but they withdrew from the agreement when the NFL said players who protested wouldn’t be punished, despite having announced in May that protests during the national anthem violated the league’s policy.

301 ‘Predator Priests’ Named In Pa. Grand Jury Sex Abuse Report: ‘They Were Raping Little Boys & Girls’
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The long-awaited state grand jury report into sexual abuse in six Pennsylvania dioceses, including Pittsburgh and Greensburg, has finally been released.
The 884-page document, two years in the making, shines a light into the dark corners of these dioceses going back seven decades, exposing the predators and the efforts of their bishops to protect them.
“Today, the most comprehensive report on child sexual abuse within the church ever produced in our country was released,” Attorney General Josh Shapiro said. “Pennsylvanians can finally learn the extent of sexual abuse in these dioceses. For the first time, we can all begin to understand the systematic cover up by church leaders that followed. The abuse scarred every diocese. The cover up was sophisticated. The church protected the institution at all costs.”
Several clergy abuse victims who had testified before the grand jury attended Shapiro’s news conference. At least one of them could be seen breaking down in tears.The report begins with the following statement:
“We, the members of this grand jury, need you to hear this. We know some of you have head some of it before. There have been other reports about child sex abuse within the Catholic Church. But never on this scale. For many of us, those earlier stories happened someplace else, someplace away. Now we know the truth: it happened....

An editorial by Holman Jenkins in the Wall Street Journal on June 29, 2018 recommends an investigation of the CIA’s involvement in the 2016 election, and I agree. The WSJ’s Kimberley Strassel has commented on CIA involvement as well, as did Rudy Giuliani on August 13th.
If press reports are accurate, American spy operations targeted the Trump campaign by luring Trump associates such as George Papadopoulos to meetings in Britain. There are two key factors at work here.
The first factor is the location. The CIA is in charge of American government spy ops that occur in foreign countries, not the FBI. While an American tourist can fly to Britain to see the changing of the guard and be in front of Buckingham Palace within 24 hours, an American FBI agent can do nothing in Britain without intricate CIA approvals and supervision. If the CIA were not involved, they’d be raising hell with the FBI for doing business on their turf. Turf is everything in bureaucracy. CIA involvement is certain.
The second factor -- I do not know the people named and am basing this on press reports -- is that these ops bear the distinctive signature of being run by bureaucrats at CIA Headquarters, not by professionals in CIA field stations.
Headquarters’ spy recruitments are weak. Our full-time government employees, such as CIA officers and FBI agents, are expected to recruit part-time spies called agents, assets, sources, informants, and access agents. (Some folks don’t like the use of the word “spy,” but in fact everyone involved is a spy. I was a spy.) With 17 redundant spy agencies and tens of thousands of idle employees in the Washington D.C. area, there’s a natural tendency to recruit American citizens to help spy on Americans. Such operations provide employees with opportunities to look busy and get promoted while living in the comfort of Washington.
Recruitments of sources are important to the CIA, but if you try to recruit a terrorist in Syria, you might get a bullet in the head. North Korea and Iran are far away, out of sight and out of mind. Why not recruit an American college professor instead? Assign him a secret code name and he comes to look like a real spy. Most Americans are happy to help out, so there’s no fear of embarrassing rejection.
There’s only one thing easier for Headquarters employees than recruiting an American college professor, and that is recruiting an American college professor who has already been recruited by other U.S. spy agencies. This appears to have been the case in these operations.
“Hey, this isn’t a secret source, this is just old Bill Jones!” is the kind of statement heard at CIA Headquarters when someone realizes that a secret asset is not a brave source deep within a rogue state, but is instead an American college professor, an old colleague, or the family member of a CIA employee.
In espionage, you’ve got to recruit directly. If you need intelligence on Iran, you’ve got to go out and find an Iranian. It’s like courtship. You’ve got to get out and find your potential spouse and you must do it yourself. When I first saw the woman who would become my wife, I approached her immediately and directly. A simpering Headquarters bureaucrat would have thought, “I must find someone who can sidle up to her and assess her and then provide me with information that I can use to develop a relationship.”
We’ve spent billions training our officers and then they live in Washington and recruit American college professors to do their work.
The question is: If these Headquarters-run operations are so lightweight, why did John Brennan’s CIA choose this kind of operation to target Trump?
The answer is that they already knew there was no collusion, so they didn’t need a...
Judge Sarah Backus Released Islamic Terrorists Into The American Population...
ALBUQUERQUE – District Court Judge Sarah Backus, an elected Democrat, has released the suspects from the Taos County terrorist compound until their trial begins. According to media reports, suspects will be released on a signature bond, and will not have to post bail prior to their release.
"Judge Backus has put New Mexicans at risk by releasing suspected terrorists back into the community," said RPNM Chairman Ryan Cangiolosi. "By releasing these suspects without even requiring them to post bail, Judge Backus has put people in danger and created the risk that they could flee and harm other children and communities as well. If New Mexico Democratic Party leaders are serious about keeping our state safe, they should join me in denouncing Judge Backus and the incredible failure of leadership and judgment demonstrated by her terrible decision."
The suspects have been accused of training children to commit acts of terrorism, including school shootings. They were also charged with several counts of child abuse. According to a KOB report, Judge Backus determined the accused terrorists pose no threat to the community:
"Judge Sarah Backus made the determination the suspects weren't a danger to the community following several hours of testimony and evidence being presented by prosecutors…State prosecutors outlined evidence suggesting that at least some of the suspects could have been planning some sort of attack…Various weapons and ammo were found during the raid on August 3, and several more firearms were discovered in subsequent searches. The children were allegedly taught how to load and fire assault rifles…In addition, prosecutors described a letter sent to Siraj Wahhaj from his brother allegedly inviting him to come to New Mexico and die as a martyr." How Bruce Ohr Could Implicate High-Ranking Obama Officials In Spygate

Investigative reporter John Solomon broke news last week of texts and emails between former associate deputy attorney general Bruce Ohr and Trump dossier author Christopher Steele regarding the Russia investigation, and revealed the content of notes Ohr took during a December meeting with Steele’s boss at Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson.
Solomon’s reporting confirmed the FBI used Ohr to continue gathering information from Steele, even after the former British spy was terminated as a source by the bureau because he leaked word of the investigation to the press. Ohr’s role as a conduit allowed the FBI to continue to use Steele as an indirect source, even after Trump was elected and inaugurated.
Ohr lost his high-ranking slot at the Department of Justice in December 2017, when the Trump administration learned of his connection to Steele, and with it his office just doors away from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He briefly retained a high-ranking position as the director of Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces, but was demoted a second time in January 2018. He still works for the DOJ, but no longer holds a top leadership position.
Rep. Devin Nunes, who chairs the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), said last week Ohr “is going to become more and more important” to the investigation into the DOJ’s use of Steele’s dossier on Trump to obtain permission to spy on his former campaign advisor, Carter Page. That’s the understatement of the year.
The details revealed in the emails and texts, in conjunction with previously released information, suggest DOJ and FBI employees operated outside the chain of command, misled their bosses (and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court), and concealed evidence from congressional oversight committees. Let’s review two key questions the revelations raise.
1. How and why was Rosenstein kept in the dark?
Rosenstein was Ohr’s boss prior to his demotion, yet Rosenstein claims he knew nothing of Ohr’s involvement in the Russia investigation. Rosenstein declared to Congress in a letter reviewed by Solomon that he was “unaware of Ohr’s activities with Steele,” that Ohr was “not assigned” to the Russia investigation, and that Ohr “was not in the chain of command.” Rosenstein added, “Any involvement Mr. Ohr had in this matter was without my knowledge.”
Solomon’s reporting is consistent with Rosenstein’s congressional testimony. On June 28, Rosenstein told the House Judiciary Committee that “Ohr was never working to my knowledge on that Russian investigation.” He reiterated the point a second time, saying, “To my knowledge he wasn’t working on the Russian matter.”

Here’s a look at four major unanswered questions.
1. Will Trump Get Involved?
More transparency surrounding documents on how the investigation of Russian election meddling began, a former British spy’s salacious “dossier” on Trump, and the role of certain Justice Department officials would be welcome, said Pete Flaherty, president of the National Legal and Policy Center, a conservative government watchdog group.
“The entire matter keeps getting more curious,” Flaherty told The Daily Signal. “I don’t know if there is one vehicle to get all of the information out. One good first step would be if the president would declassify all of the documents.”
The president went on a tweet storm over the weekend regarding the FBI, writing at one point: “I may have to get involved.”
“There is nothing wrong with this. He should,” von Spakovsky said. “The DOJ has been recalcitrant in responding to both FOIA requests, as they are required to by law, and to Congress.”
2. Will We Get Details of Lisa Page’s Testimony?
Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom Strzok reportedly was having an extramarital affair, last month testified to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee behind closed doors.
Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., called Page a “credible” witness who was cooperative. He indicated that lawmakers learned from her testimony—but didn’t provide details about what.
Strzok at first resisted testifying to the committee, but agreed upon the threat of being found in contempt of Congress.
