Trumped: Property bubble fears rise in China as it struggles with losing the trade war

China is facing property bubble trouble just at a time when the economy is starting to cool and the trade war with the United States enters a crucial phase.

A research report from one of the China’s largest state-backed investment banks has warned that 2019 could be a “year of recession” for the real estate sector.

The China International Capital Corporation, or CICC, pointed out in the study that sales, investment and new construction starts would decline significantly.

“In response, the Chinese government should alter policies that were put in place to cool the market,” CICC researchers stressed.

Indeed, years of booming growth appear to be over with property investment slowing to 8.9% in September from 9.2% in August while home sales fell 3.6% from a year earlier.

To put that into perspective, one the country’s biggest developers China Vanke confirmed that “survival” was the ultimate goal for the next three years as a “turning point” had arrived for the industry, Chinese media website Caixin reported.

Concerns are also growing about the number of empty apartments and houses across the world’s second-largest economy.

Data from a nationwide survey, which has yet to be released by the Chengdu’s Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, showed that about 50 million homes were unoccupied, which was about 22% of retail properties.

Nightmare scenario

Many were bought as investments and the nightmare scenario for Beijing is that if the housing bubble pops, the market could be flooded, sending prices spiraling down.

“There is no other single country with such a high vacancy rate,” Professor Gan Li, who is in charge of the study at Chengdu’s Southwestern University, told Bloomberg News. “Should any crack emerge in the property market, the homes to be offloaded will hit China like a flood.”

Yet again, this is just another statistical snapshot illustrating a broader malaise in the Chinese economy, which is showing distinct signs of slowing.

In the third quarter, GDP growth came in at a respectable 6.5% but still fell to levels not seen since the 2009 Great Recession.

Moreover, the pace of expansion in the service sector is decelerating while factory activity has dropped.

Latest data on consumer confidence has also dipped, CEIC, a global market intelligence firm, revealed, with pressure from the trade dispute fueling anxieties in China’s stock markets.

Ending this economic Cold War has now become a priority for Beijing when you factor in punitive tit-for-tat tariffs, including US President Donald Trump’s decision to slap import duties on...

Canada Becoming a Potential Base for Terrorists to Attack the US

OTTAWA and TORONTO – The US and Canada share the longest undefended border in the world. There hasn't been a reason to defend it because there hasn't been a serious threat from either country in a couple hundred years. There is now.

Canada is today the happy home of thousands of radical Islamists, ex-ISIS fighters and the Muslim Brotherhood. Their numbers continue to grow, with Islamists infiltrating the Canadian government on several levels.

Many Americans assume that all is peaceful and well with their northern neighbor. But security experts here warn that by welcoming radical Islamists, Canada now presents a danger to the United States.

Canada as an 'Aircraft Carrier' for Muslim Terrorists to Attack America

Terrorism expert David Harris, who worked for Canada's spy agency, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, told us a major attack on the United States by Muslim extremists based in Canada is "only a matter of time."

"Many years ago I suggested that many of the Islamist extremists might regard Canada as an aircraft carrier from which to maintain operations against...

Supervisor of Florida Elections, Brenda Snipes to be 'Forced From Office' for Violating Florida Law

Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes is expected to be "forced from office" after a judge found her guilty of violating Florida law. Following further reports of highly suspicious actions by her office, either Governor Rick Scott or governor-elect Ron DeSantis is anticipated to soon strip her from her role, Politico reports.

Snipes is accused of intentionally destroying ballots along with allowing felons and non-citizens to vote in elections.

"Counting unlawful votes. Destroying ballots. Sunshine Law violations. Busted deadlines," Politico's Marc Caputo writes. "

So many controversies have bedeviled Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes — culminating in her office’s troubles in the aftermath of Florida’s chaotic 2018 elections — that her days in office are now numbered, insiders and lawmakers say." Protestors react to news of further election sabotage by Brenda Snipes.

According to Daily Wire, even Snipes' fellow Democrats have begun to abandon her amid her increasingly indefensible mishandling of the count, which has already resulted in a judge finding her in violation of Florida election law, Snipes' office accidentally mixing invalidated ballots into legitimate results, and a suspicious series of reports of "found" ballots and illegally transported ballots.

The situation is adding up to "the increasing likelihood of an embarrassing suspension from office at the hands of either Gov. Rick Scott or his likely successor...

Breaking: Official Records Show Underage Teenagers Voting In Florida

As the vote-counting situation in Florida intensifies, Big League Politics has obtained public information showing that people who are officially listed as being under the age of 18 voted in the state of Florida in the early or absentee voting process.

People must be 18 years old to vote in the state of Florida. Although 17-year olds can vote in a primary if they turn 18 before the general election, no one is allowed to vote in a general election without being 18.

A whistleblower who saw official voter information from the 2018 election confirms to Big League Politics that multiple people listed as under the age of 18 actually voted in this midterm election in the round of early or absentee voting, while dozens more are registered to do so.

Big League Politics has erased the personal residence information of these individuals from the following pieces of publicly available voter information.

Amazingly, the county governments actually list the registered voters as being younger than 18 years old, according to their birth dates, so this is based on official government information.

(“You are eligible to vote in Volusia County for an election that has an election date on or after your 18th birthday,” says one official record, right underneath the listed birth date of a listed 17-year old voter.)

The information below includes recent voter registrations, including in the immediate days before the 2018 election.

We will start with people who were flagged on the list of early or absentee voters, and gradually expand the list to all underage persons who are registered to vote in the state of Florida. We have reached out to county elections officials, and will update with their responses as we go along.

Raymond Murga voted in Miami-Dade County, which officially recognizes that he is 17 years old, according to his birth date of May 28, 2001. You can find Master Murga’s entry on the Miami-Dade official voter information lookup page...

Lack of sunspots to bring record cold, warns NASA scientist

“It could happen in a matter of months,” says Martin Mlynczak of NASA’s Langley Research Center.

“The sun is entering one of the deepest Solar Minima of the Space Age,” wrote Dr Tony Phillips just six weeks ago, on 27 Sep 2018.

Sunspots have been absent for most of 2018 and Earth’s upper atmosphere is responding, says Phillips, editor of spaceweather.com.

Data from NASA’s TIMED satellite show that the thermosphere (the uppermost layer of air around our planet) is cooling and shrinking, literally decreasing the radius of the atmosphere.

To help track the latest developments, Martin Mlynczak of NASA’s Langley Research Center and his colleagues recently introduced the “Thermosphere Climate Index.”
