Killing Two Birds With One Stone...

Justin Trudeau’s Canada Embraces a World Without Borders

The Liberal government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to sign the UN Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration at an intergovernmental meeting in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 10, 2018.

Few Canadians are aware of what this UN Global Compact represents; even fewer have been consulted, and without any mandate except for a parliamentary majority, Justin Trudeau is committed in signing Canada into an agreement with far-reaching consequences -- not only for Canadians. Canada agreeing to abide by the agreement will also have consequences for Americans, as among migrants entering Canada might well be those intending to sneak into the United States across the world’s longest open border.

The UN Global Compact spells out, in 34 pages of fine print, requirements for member-states to adopt as policy accommodating unfettered mass migration from the global South to the North.

Human migration is as old as human history. But in modern times, especially in the period following the end of the Second World War, resulting in massive dislocation of the European population, settlement of migrants was arranged and conducted by national governments with support of their citizens. The Global Compact, instead, is a UN top-down arrangement to deal with the migration problem turned into the most disruptive global crisis in recent years. This time, the crisis is the result of the massive failure of UN-engineered policies of socio-economic development of post-colonial societies in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America.

What we have witnessed since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the end of the Cold War in 1992, is a spike in wars, genocide, failed states, and terrorism. These have cumulatively resulted in mass migration as an escape from the collective failure of people in those countries to build and administer an orderly society, despite trillions of aid dollars provided by countries of the North, directly or through the UN agencies.

And despite this record of the failure of UN-driven development policies, the UN remains insistent on demanding more of the same in its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Global Compact is a critical part of this agenda, based on the notion that “Migration contributes to positive development outcomes.”

There is little or no evidence of migration from the global South providing for positive development in the developing countries of that global South. Instead, the Global Compact turns migration into a human rights issue and confers “rights” on migrants that are the same as...

Backlash as more radio stations ban "Baby, It's Cold Outside" over lyrics

Following the lead of several other radio stations in the United States and Canada, Bay Area radio station KOIT said it was banning the holiday staple "Baby, It's Cold Outside," CBS San Francisco reports. Many listeners have said the song heard on countless holiday playlists is inappropriate in the #MeToo era — but others are outraged the classic tune has been taken off the air.

Penned by "Guys and Dolls" writer Frank Loesser in 1944, the song's lyrics describe a woman trying extricate herself from a date and saying "no, no, no," while a man insists that she stays as he moves in closer, pours her more alcohol, and warns about the weather outside. Critics of the song say the lyrics promote date rape.

"I made the decision, it's off for now," Brian Figula, program manager at KOIT radio told CBS San Francisco, adding he is considering leaving the ultimate decision up to the people.

Since Figula announced the decision, the station has received many angry emails and social media posts from people upset with the decision, accusing the station of political correctness.

"They're upset!" said KOIT radio DJ Freska Griarte who has heard from lots of listeners from phone calls and social media posts.

"They're like, 'why are you guys doing this? What is going on? It's just a song. While for some people, it means something more," Griarte said.

"I could definitely see where it's a little uncomfortable when you think about the lyrics being said," said Genevieve Ellison of San Francisco. "But then so are most of the songs on the radio today, right?"

The station launched a poll on their website Tuesday. Listeners can weigh in on whether or not to bring the song back through this coming weekend. KOIT will announce the results of the poll Monday, Dec. 10 at 7:20 a.m.

An informal poll on CBS New York shows a majority of people think the song should not be banned from the airwaves.

Meanwhile, radio stations in Cleveland and Denver have banned the song for the holiday season.

In Cleveland, Star 102 Cleveland radio host Glenn Anderson wrote a blog post about the station's decision to stop playing the...

Democrat Senator Says Democrats Are Too Smart For The Average American...

Ah, and there you have it. All the failures of the Democrat Party are the result of voters being too stupid to grasp the brilliance of leftist politicians.

So says Hawaii Senator, Mazie Hirono, a politician few would mistake for being a brilliant mind. One has to wonder if Democrats might lack the self-awareness to realize it’s this very elitist attitude that turns tens of millions of voters against them. Don’t forget it was Barack Obama who declared that all voters didn’t like him because they were, “…clinging to their guns and religion.” Yes, the arrogance is strong withing the Democrat Party.

‘This is why Trump got elected’: Dems ‘too smart’ for average voters, says Hawaiian senator

The Democrats managed to retake the House in November’s midterm elections but it didn’t quite amount to the impending ‘blue wave’ that was prophesied. One Democrat senator believes she knows the reason why.

Speaking to Canadian-American writer and journalist Dahlia Lithwick at a conference in Washington DC Tuesday, Senator Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) argued that Democrats were more...

Don Jr to Gillibrand: 'When Is It Appropriate to Let My Boys Know There's No Future For Them?'

Donald Trump Jr had the perfect response to Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's cringeworthy viral tweet saying "our future is female" and "intersectional."

Gillibrand tweeted Tuesday: "Our future is: Female, Intersectional, Powered by our belief in one another. And we're just getting started."

Our future is:

Female
Intersectional
Powered by our belief in one another.

And we’re just getting started.
16.8K people are talking about this
"Good to know," Don Jr. responded. "My girls will be excited about this."

"When is it appropriate to let my boys (9, 7 and 6 years old) [know] that there's no future for them?"

The U.S. Army could acquire a fleet of 3,000 bomb-diffusing scorpion robots

It sounds like something out a science fiction movie, but it’s not: The U.S. Army may be well on its way to acquiring a 3,000 strong fleet of battlefield-ready scorpion robots.

The robots in question are the creation of Endeavor Robotics, a leading company in developing and building tactical unmanned ground vehicles. Called the Scorpion, the sub-25-pound robots are small enough to be carried in a backpack. Once removed, they can then be powered up in less than one minute and used for carrying out a variety of tasks, including remotely diffusing bombs.

“Once on the ground, Scorpion can travel over rough terrain, up and down inclines, climb stairs, and even operate while submerged,” CEO Sean Bielat told Digital Trends. “It has a unique manipulator arm that can rotate continuously to grasp anything nearby, plus multiple cameras to give its operator various high definition views — [such as] thermal and night-vision — for excellent situational awareness. Scorpion’s gripper provides best-in-class strength for a robot of this weight.”

Another innovative and unique aspect of the Scorpion robot is its lightweight composites body, which can be repaired in the field by soldiers using 3D-printed parts. That means less downtime, resulting in a robot that’s ready for its next mission faster. Its open architecture design, meanwhile, makes it easy to integrate third-party sensors and other devices.

“Scorpion requires a human operator, but does have autonomous capabilities,” Bielat continued. “Its controller includes a number of preset ‘poses’ that the robot will automatically move into with the touch of a button. Additionally, if the robot loses communications during an operation, it can autonomously retro-traverse back the same path to regain communications to keep the soldier up and running. The Scorpion controller also allows the operator to take control of other ground robots, as well as unmanned aircraft, to improve battlefield awareness. We expect Endeavor’s advancing work in autonomy to play a part in future upgrades, which will allow the robot to be even more mission-capable.”

So with all of these qualities, why the doubt about whether the U.S. Army will acquire Endeavor’s creation? The reason is because it’s competing against other robots also hoping to net the $429 million government deal. An announcement from the Army’s Common Robotic System-Individual (CRS-I) program is expected in early 2019. Whichever company winds up scoring the contract, we’re expecting to see...
