An EMP is a “high-frequency burst of electromagnetic energy caused by the rapid acceleration of [charged] particles.” A large-scale EMP may result in the collapse of critical civilian infrastructures and services like banking, finance, food, water systems; the power grid; telecommunications; and transportation all over the country.
There are two types of EMP events: Those that occur naturally due to a great geomagnetic storm; and those that are man-made via the use of a nuclear weapon delivered by a primitive missile. Both types of EMP event may have similar effects.

Looters would take advantage of the ensuing chaos to target shops until they move on to domestic housing.Without the police, there wouldn’t be law and order.
Prepare for the worst
