Democrats Supported Obama Killing Americans With Drones, But Take Issue With Trump Killing Terrorists

War with Iran is unavoidable... at least according to the media.

Democrats have been wringing their hands over Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani’s death, with some calling it a “war crime” and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seeking to restrict the president’s powers.

But what did Democrats say when President Obama used his executive powers to strike (and kill) U.S. citizens in Yemen in 2011, including a 16-year-old boy?

Democratic Sens. Ron Wyden of Oregon, Mark Udall of Colorado, and Martin Heinrich of New Mexico said in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder that the use of force was “legitimate use of the authority granted to the president.”

They said Obama had met the legal standard.

These three senators were part of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee. They went on to describe the killing of terror leader Anwar al-Awlaki:

Mr. al-Aulaqi [sic] clearly made a conscious decision to join an organized fighting force that was (and is) engaged in planning and carrying out attacks against the United States,” the senators wrote. “By taking on a leadership role in this organization, involving himself in ongoing operational planning against the United States, and demonstrating the capacity and intent to carry out these operations, he made himself a legitimate target for military action.

Does the same rationale apply to Soleimani? Or has it suddenly changed?

After all, Soleimani was the head of the Quds Force, recently designated a terrorist organization by the United States government.

Additionally, a Justice Department memo released in 2014 led to this report from the New York Times:

Intelligence officials had concluded that Awlaki was an operational terrorist leader who had gone overseas, become part of Al Qaeda or an associated force, and was “engaged in continual planning and direction of attacks” on Americans. His capture was not feasible, the memo said. Working from that premise, David Barron, then the acting head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, concluded that it would be lawful for the government to kill Awlaki, notwithstanding federal statutes against murdering Americans overseas and protections in the Constitution against unreasonable seizures and depriving someone of life without due process of law.

“We do not believe al-Awlaki’s citizenship provides a basis for concluding that he is immune from a use of force abroad” as otherwise congressionally authorized to use against Al Qaeda, Barron wrote, addressing the memo to Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.

Asked about the killing of Awlaki’s son a few weeks after the initial strike, Obama White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs glibly replied about the drone strike on another U.S. citizen deemed to be a threat:

“I would suggest that you should have a far more responsible father if they are truly concerned about the well being of their children. I don’t think becoming an al Qaeda jihadist terrorist is the best way to go about doing your business.”
Politico also explained how the Democrats used the killing of Bin Laden and Awlaki as part of their reelection strategy, with the headline of one story reading...

Obama gave US Citizenship to 2500 Iranian Elite

In July of 2018, a top Iranian official announced that Obama gave 2500 Iranians U.S. citizenship. Cleric and Parliament member, Hojjat al-Islam Mojtaba Zolnour claimed that during the negotiations for the Iran deal, President Obama gave citizenship to 2500 Iranians, many of whom are government officials and their family and friends.

These people were allegedly granted U.S. citizenship as a favor to the [radical] President Hassan Rouhani, Fox News reported. He might have meant a green card, The Daily Mail reported, but, either way, it’s bad.

Zolnour, who is close to Khamenei, reported this information to Iran’s Etemad newspaper which was cited by Fars News agency.

The cleric claimed it was done as a favor to senior Iranian officials linked to President Hassan Rouhani, and he maintained the move created a competition among Iranian officials over whose children would benefit from the scheme.

“When Obama, during the negotiations about the JCPOA, decided to do a favor to these men, he granted citizenship to 2,500 Iranians and some officials started a competition over whose children could be part of these 2,500 Iranians,” he revealed.

“If today these Iranians get deported from America, it will become clear who is complicit and sells the national interest like he is selling candies to America,” he added.

“It should be stated exactly which children of which authorities live in the United States and have received citizenship or residency,” the official in Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s inner circle stated.

THEY WERE MOSTLY IRANIAN ELITES

Zolnour guessed that between 30 and 60 are studying in the U.S. The rest of them were working in the country “against our national interests,” according to...

CNN Settles in Covington Lawsuit

CNN has reportedly elected to settle its lawsuit with Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann.

Per Fox19, Sandmann originally sought $800 million from CNN, The Washington Post and NBC in total; the dates for the latter lawsuits have not yet been determined. CNN reportedly settled 275 million. The multitude of lawsuits were filed in response to an alleged January 2019 incident at the annual March for Life rally. Nick Sandmann traveled to D.C., along with many of his classmates, for the annual pro-life gathering.

Sandmann garnered the attention of mainstream media outlets when a video that gave the illusion that he was ridiculing Nathan Phillips, a Native American man present at the Indigenous People’s March, which occurred at the same time as the March for Life. Phillips stood in front of Sandmann, who was wearing a Make America Great Again hat, chanting and beating a drum.

Of course, as the full video shows, Sandmann did not harass Phillips in any way. As is typical of the March for Life, these attendees were peaceful. The mainstream media took this video out of context in the interest of defaming a conservative teenager. Mainstream media outlets, which were all widely respected at one time, jumped at the chance to create a racial hoax around an innocent teenager. CNN commentator Reza Aslan even went as far as to say that...

Presumably, ‘affiliated companies’ means any company that has a contract with, or provides technology to the Pentagon.

“Any aid to these forces, including military, intelligence, financial, technical, service or logistical, will be considered as cooperation in a terrorist act,” the bill declares.

According to reports, the bill is an amendment to a previous motion passed in April last year which designated the US Central Command as a “terrorist organisation” and the US a “state sponsor of terrorism”.

That motion came in response to President Trump designating the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, as well as imposing economic and travel sanctions.

The new law states that the Iranian government will pledge $220 million to the IRGC to “reinforce its defense power in vengeance for...
