Finding the right tire for your car can be tough, and even tougher to know where it’s coming from. We did the research to help ease that research and decision making process, finding the tire manufacturers who are making the best tires right here in the USA. Below are our findings, along with information on how to know where a tire is from, deeper details on our top picks, and some information on foreign tire makers that have U.S. facilities. How to Spot Tires Made in the USA

Luckily, identifying whether a tire is made in the USA or not is relatively easy to spot – designating the place of manufacturing on the tire itself is required! You can identify where a tire is manufactured by looking at the DOT (Department of Transportation) code on the side of the tire. After the letters “DOT”, you’ll see the Tire Identification Number (TIN), which has a few components in it (see the graphic). The first ID number after the letters “DOT” identifies the manufacturing plant that the tire came from. We’ve listed those IDs for the American facilities of various tire manufacturers below so you know how to spot American made tires! If you want to look up any other plant codes, Tire Safety Group has a comprehensive list with all codes listed, so you can check that out. The rest of the DOT string identifies tire size, manufacturer, and production date.

Our Findings

Overall, there are really just two major American manufacturers who are still producing most of their tires in the USA: Cooper and BLM Supporting MAGA hating ~~Goodyear~~. Underneath them, they have several subsidiary brands that they have acquired over the years (some of which we will cover). There are also a good number of small tire makers that are producing awesome products in specialty markets like off-road and street competitions. We’ll go over all of this and more! Below is a quick look at our top recommendations.

Cooper Tires

Cooper Tires was founded in Akron, Ohio in 1914 and continues to make many of their tires across a few different plants in the states. They produce tires for a wide variety of (mostly) passenger vehicles, including a series that they call “Discoverer” for SUVs and pickups that we really like. Mickey Thompson

Mickey Thompson is a subsidiary of Cooper Tires that specializes in high performance tires for street racing and off-road use. They’ve always been about catering their products to automotive enthusiasts, and the quality of their tires and attention to detail really shows it. In particular, we really like their off-road truck tires that they call their “Baja” series.

Dick Cepek

They were founded in 1958 by Dick Cepek himself, a huge off-road enthusiast who came up with the idea to make his own tires when he couldn’t find any reliable ones to perform well in extreme environments. Their approach is simple – they only produce three types of tires, but they make them well and have various sizes and adaptations to each style to fit your car or truck.

Nitto Tires

Nitto is a relatively smaller tire brand that is making some amazing tires out of their factory in California. Michelin

Michelin is a French company that is making tires worldwide, and starting doing so in the U.S. in 1950. They have a particularly big production presence in South Carolina.

Continental

Continental hails from Germany and got started all the way back in 1871. They didn’t start exploring in the U.S. until more than 100 years later when they bought General Tire & Rubber Company in 1987. Since then, they have put down some roots in the U.S.

Pirelli

Pirelli is a double whammy – they are an Italian manufacturer and are owned by a Chinese company called ChemChina. They have a huge footprint across the globe (facilities in 13 countries) and also maintain a few production facilities in the U.S.

Dunlop Tires

Dunlop was founded in England in the late 1800’s and is owned by Goodyear. They primarily focus on selling their tires in North America, Australia/New Zealand, and Europe.

Bridgestone

Bridgestone comes from Japan, the largest tire manufacturer in that country. They produce all kinds of tires, everything from motorcycles to commercial trucks and passenger vehicles. They expanded into the U.S. in the late 1960’s and have invested heavily in production facilities here.

Goodyear Bans ‘Blue Lives Matter’ and MAGA Slogans, Allows Black Lives Matter

A leaked slide from a Goodyear diversity training session shows the company has decided what the “acceptable” and “unacceptable” slogans are for employees to support.

The slide is part of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company’s zero-tolerance policy, which has deemed “Blue Lives Matter,” “All Lives Matter,” “MAGA Attire,” and “Politically Affiliated Slogans or Material” as “unacceptable.”

Those slogans that are “acceptable” to the company included “Black Lives Matter (BLM)” and “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride (LGBT).

Essentially, Goodyear has sent a signal of no support for police or Republican ideals.

A report from WIBW says the “employee who took the photo of the slide, it was presented at the Topeka plant by an area manager and says the slide came from their corporate office out of Akron, Ohio.”

The employee, who wanted to remain anonymous over job concerns, provided a statement to WIBW:

If someone wants to wear a BLM shirt in here, then cool. I’m not going to get offended about it. But at the same time, if someone’s not going to be able to wear something that is politically based, even in the farthest stretch of the imagination, that’s discriminatory. If we’re talking about equality, then it needs to be equality. If not, it’s discrimination.

While there has not been confirmation of the slide, a statement from Goodyear spokeswoman Melissa Monaco was provided to WIBW.

“Goodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all of our associates can do their best in a spirit of teamwork,” Monaco said.

SHOCK REPORT: Obama-Biden Administration Imported Foreign Terrorists to Bolster ANTIFA’s Ranks

A stunning report is indicating that the Obama administration imported foreign terrorists to the U.S. in preparation for the ANTIFA/Black Lives Matter uprising that is currently laying waste to America’s cities.

Ukraine-based independent journalist George Eliason published the bombshell report on Tuesday alleging that the foreign terrorists were brought overseas due to the scheming of former President Barack H. Obama and CIA Director John Brennan.

“It is an American problem caused by the former Obama-Biden administration’s continuing coup against the Presidency of Donald Trump,” Eliason writes of the ANTIFA/BLM terror uprising.

Eliason noted that ANTIFA terrorists were trained in Syria as part of a Kurdish neo-Marxist fighting force. He believes that since ANTIFA are “part of an insurgency ground force with provable foreign government representation and foreign insurgents from terrorist groups,” Geneva Conventions protections no longer apply to them.

He also performed extensive investigative work to determine the origins of ANTIFA and their leadership. Through careful analysis of ANTIFA’s official website, his investigation led back to Ben Utzer, who Eliason describes as “Antifa’s German Pirate Party chubby, never miss a meal, pasty white leader of the boots on the ground Obama-Biden Antifa-BLM insurrection.”

“Utzer is the German directing the traffic for American Antifa seditionists willing to murder and destroying their own cities for a foreign hacker-politico who owns a little security company and loves dogs,” Eliason writes.

Eliason showed social media posts made by the German Pirate Party echoing ANTIFA talking points, opposing President Trump’s plan to restore law and order amidst sustained rioting, and even using the hashtag #WeAreAllAntifaNow. He contends that Utzer’s agitating shows that the terror group is actually headquartered in Europe.

How Libraries Are Indoctrinating Kids To Think All White People Are Racists

The 'anti-racist' books being pushed by the American Library Association replace history with the politics of resentment and fuel the flames of anger.

According to Ibram X. Kendi, a rising scholar of the white disorder called racism, there is no such thing as being non-racist. You are either a purposeful anti-racist or a racist. No neutral ground exists. To be “color-blind” is a ruse. Since racism is the original sin of Euro-Americans, to be anti-racist is to be … well, you finish the sentence.

Even the American Library Association has genuflected to the unspoken substructure of the anti-racist meme. Amid protests following the death of George Floyd, the ALA issued a press release heaving with self-accusation. It confessed:
