My very first reaction to the news that Remdesivir was being looked at as a therapy was the same. $0.60 v. $thousands/dose. Remdesivir was developed to fight Ebola, at which it FAILED miserably. But hey, we can't let all of those sunk costs go to waste now can we?
Hydroxychloroquine isn't "60 cents a pill". Good RX actually has it at a cash price (meaning that the pharmacy is STILL making SOME profit) of $20.41 for 60 tabs. That comes in at about $0.34 a pill.
