A mathematician, philosopher, inventor and mechanical engineer, Babbage originated the concept of a digital programmable computer.
Wasn't really built until his son, right? I didn't think they could manufacture the parts to strong enough tolerances? Not sure pops ever got to see the machine run. I ought to look it up, but just woke... don't have enough mojo... or just jo... yet. :p
