Did you ever notice that the fossilization process as understood by science causes hard parts like bones, teeth, and shells to be fossilized and does not account for a process to fossilize an octopus? Just sayin.

I've often wondered why Hell's Creek formation fossils smell of rot and decay and how a paleontologist harvested soft tissue out of a T-Rex femur. Especially if they're 65 million years old.
