On Friday, Attorney General Merrick Garland signed off on a new ATF rule that restricts the use of stabilizing braces on firearms.
The whopping 293-page rule redefines firearms that make use of the braces as short-barreled rifles.
A stabilizing brace is an attachment designed to allow a long gun to be fired with one hand. The tools resemble the conventional stock of a rifle in some respects but differ in that they’re designed for long guns (such as AR-style weapons) that are actually pistols.
Under the new rule, owners of many firearms that use the braces have to register the guns with the federal government within 120 days, a requirement for short-barreled rifles under the National Firearms Act of 1934.

I have the Tailhook brace. It does not have the strap. The way I use my AR pistols I can live without it. My gut feeling the ATF rule will be shot down in court.
I am not giving up on our Republic. I served this country and there are many veterans that feel the same way. Fight and resist.

Yeah lot a good that's done. Still waiting on the protecting the country here not in some place that doesn't matter. Maybe those VA and discounts are to much to risk for the country
In my opinion if it was legal.when I bought it then it's still legal. The ATF allowed these to be sold for what a decade?, and now says "ooops, we changed our mind".
Sorry, Ex Post Facto laws or regulations are not allowed, or justifiable.
I am not a lawyer, and this does not constitute legal advice, but I can't see this surviving the court challenges and may actually work in removing the restrictions on SBR, SBS from the NFA1934.
