Me and my wife met in college in the mid 70s. I just retired as an Electrical Engineer. My wife was in finance. We are from California but my company moved me to Northern VA in 96.
We found issues with the schools and had problems with the teachers, admin, and school board. We ended up tutoring our sons through each class as they were not being taught right. They graduated HS in early 2000s on different years and each decided on different trade schools.
They both have houses, cars, good bank accounts. My oldest has a family. Both make more then I was when I retired yet they are in their 30s.
My youngest says he finds it difficult with women as he finds many women either with children, which he will not become father to, or corporate types that think he is below them he earns in most cases twice or more then they do, and he is very smart as they do not think so. He said he will just date and likely not marry.
