Diversity policies have never helped any company that adopted them. Once a company stops selecting the most qualified and talented people for a position they have lost their competitive edge by accepting less qualified and many times people that are put in positions that is beyond their skillset.
Dunn & Bradstreet Software adopted diversity management hires in the mid 90's. Rockwell Collins adopted diversity in 2005. Both were Blue Chip top 100 companies. Both went belly up within 7 years.
Bricked up windows: despite things like this happening down through all of history, governments never ever ask the simple question, "and then what happens?" It's always willful ignorance of unintended consequences.
People will never act to keep the life and things they want. They'll just do whatever the government orders.
Remember that '80s song, "I Like 'em Big and Stupid"? It's the way the governments are so that's what they assume we are.
