I had this argument 3 years ago when the pronouns in signature block was released. I told them my rank is my pronoun, if we are not close enough to use my naked patronymic. I was told that wasn't what they were talking about about it was aimed at the happy folk. I declared they needed to prove me wrong, and they couldn't find anything to the contrary.
