I live on the Peninsula in WA and several years ago I had a 5am flight out of SeaTac which necessitated the last ferry ride to Seattle. To get to the Light Rail Terminal that takes you to the airport after I got off the Ferry, I had to walk about 1/2 mile or so through downtown Seattle at about 1am.
It was right out of Escape From New York when Snake had to go crosstown. Zombized people schuffling mindlessly up & down the middle of the empty streets, eagle eyed criminals watching everything, drugs openly displayed & used and indiscriminate violence. And not a cop to be seen.
