Hate to tell ya, but social security is a hand out. It started out only a payment for people who worked outside the home (men) after they hit 65 (life expectancy was 62). Only when the Demos realized what a political cash cow it was did they expand it. And FICA (the social security tax) has been going into the general fund since at least the Great Society.
And, according to the Feds, after your first 2 years on full benefits, you've gotten back everything you ever paid into it. That's why it's described as a Ponzi scheme.
PS All this is easily verified.
SS is a tax and is socialist. Ruled as a tax that government can do with as it will. Like everything of government’s that you get extorted for, you don’t really pay except on the interest of the overwhelming debt of the welfare/warfare state; even then, you fall short and deficit becomes debt becomes monetization becomes inflation. No one can fix socialism…it comes broken out of the box.
You guys are both correct to a certain degree. But that's how the communists and socialist planning make it confusing enough that we really can't put a finger on it and say what it is and how to end it. That's why you can never figure out what really caused the riots on January 6th or how many people were really involved with the attempted assassination last month. They mix everything up and then nothing is decipherable. They are masters of illusion and masters of delusion and masters of collusion. This country needs a new revolution a civil war ain't good enough we need a new constitution that gets rid of these people and takes our rights away from people that aren't part of our society. But that probably will not happen.
I hate when people say "It's my money" about SS. No, it isn't. Your money was pissed away the instant the government stole it from you. All it can give you now is money it steals from others.
Sorry, say what you will Ponzi scheme or no. I paid into it by force for 45 years. I was a high earner and paid a lot into it. I will extract what is owed to me. I paid alot more in than just 2 years at full benefits. If you want it changed then do it. But cash me out. Im tired of the have nots whining about it. Put in your entire life then tell get told you dont deserve it. F you. You most likely voted for the people who stole from the fund.
You paid nothing into anything. Your and my contribution’ didn’t cover the cost of pencils at any SS office of the expansive SS bureaucracy.
