I late 1970s I met a Chinaman age 18 who had been given prime beach front property and a shop on that land. Fedgov gave it to him, he said. Newport Beach, CA.
At that same time, many Vietnamese were given commercial fish boats, free and clear. One fired on our boat with a .22. USCG came out, saw it was that boat, and left. They refused any further involvement.
How I knew was because I asked. The man said it was his, not his parents. I asked how such a young man could swing that. He showed me some papers showing it was from fedgov.
Our boat had multiple bullet holes and broken glass. We were told to forget it, move on. Will not prevail in court.
So many refer to 'hardworking govt employees'. My perception is most are office drones doing routine work. Is my perception wrong?
Are there employees bringing great ideas and focused on the work at hand?
Even if lower level employees have great ideas. Are their superiors acknowledging that and taking these ideas upstairs where the superiors respond, That's a great idea!
Lack of courage in some Rs. That sounds like afraid RFK will make them look bad. The only reason a politician would be afraid of that is it might hurt their reelection. Why else?
Maybe that they will now have to get to work.
