Snorkeling with a weight belt???
Some of us don't have the mass to keep us down, so yeah weight is good as long as the belt is quick release.
Appears to be 2x 4 pound weights. Average non-obese person if 6 - 10 pounds positive (floaty) in salt water. (I'm a scuba instructor)
