TECH COMPANIES PERPETUATE EDUCATION MYTH IN ORDER TO INCREASE H-1B VISAS

Microsoft hosted a mini-conference last week, which was attended by other tech companies such as Facebook and Amazon, that claimed that the U.S. should increase the number of H-1B visas because other countries, such as India, produce better IT professionals than American schools. However, evidence shows that the hundred of thousands of H-1B professionals that come to the U.S. every year are less educated than American workers.

Though these tech giants claim that Indian students are more qualified, in the global Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) India, which receives about 70% of all H-1B visas, scored almost dead last out of the 74 countries that participated in the program. Also, not one Indian university made it into one of the 250 spots on the World University Rankings Survey. The U.S. has 6 colleges in the top 10 of this international ranking system.

Additionally, the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program for foreign STEM students, who study at American universities, was extended from 12 months to 36 months this year due to its high demand in the tech industry. While American STEM graduates struggle to find jobs, OPT visa holders are often courted by these tech companies since they are exempt from payroll taxes and there is no wage requirements or visa caps on the program.

This education claim also comes as media attention has grown for the mass layoffs, such as at Disney and SoCal Edison, where American workers were forced to train their cheaper, foreign H-1B replacements before being laid off. During a Senate Subcommittee hearing earlier this year, Leo Perrero, a former tech worker at Disney World, broke down when telling his emotional story of..

Thanks Obama: Another Disturbing Sexual Assault From A Muslim Migrant in Twin Falls

TWIN FALLS, IDAHO — A town that was recently rocked by the horrific gang-rape of a five-year-old girl by refugee boys has had an arrest in a case involving charges of another disturbing sexual assault case last weekend.

Mohammed Hussein I. Eldai, 28, is facing charges of felony sexual assault of a vulnerable adult for an attack that happened Friday afternoon.

The alleged victim, who has been diagnosed with mental retardation, encountered Eldai when she was out for a walk in the Saturday afternoon heat and laid down to take a nap.

As Twin Falls TV station KM TV reports:
She then laid on the sidewalk when her fatigue took over. That’s when she says 28-year-old Mohammed Hussein Eldai saw her and asked if she was okay.
Court documents say Eldai brought the woman to his house where he made her a drink. She told police Eldai touched her and exposed himself to her while he kept the victim in his bedroom.

Neither the media nor the local authorities have released information on why Mohammed Eldai was in Twin Falls, whether he is a...

Newly Released Clinton Emails Renew Questions About Clinton Foundation and State Dept. Overlap

WASHINGTON — A new batch of State Department emails released Tuesday showed the close and sometimes overlapping interests between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department when Hillary Clinton served as secretary of state.

The documents raised new questions about whether the charitable foundation worked to reward its donors with access and influence at the State Department, a charge that Mrs. Clinton has faced in the past and has always denied.

In one email exchange, for instance, an executive at the Clinton Foundation in 2009 sought to put a billionaire donor in touch with the United States ambassador to Lebanon because of the donor’s interests there.

In another email, the foundation appeared to push aides to Mrs. Clinton to help find a job for a foundation associate. Her aides indicated that the department was working on the request.

Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign, which has been shadowed for 17 months by the controversy over the private email server she used exclusively while at the State Department, had no immediate comment on the documents.

The State Department turned the new emails over to a conservative advocacy group, Judicial Watch, as part of a lawsuit that the group brought under the Freedom of Information Act.

The documents included 44 emails that were not among some 55,000 pages of emails that Mrs. Clinton had previously given to the State Department, which she said represented all her “work-related” emails. The document release centers on discussions between Mrs. Clinton’s aides and Clinton Foundation executives about a number of donors and associates with interests before the State Department.

Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, charged that Mrs. Clinton “hid” the documents from the public because they...
