Russia vows to shoot down all 'flying objects' in Syria after US guns down first regime warplane

F 18 Advanced Super Hornet

Russia has threatened to shoot down US warplanes operating in parts of Syria where its air forces operate amid a diplomatic row caused by the downing of a Syrian jet.

The country's defence ministry said it would also suspend a hotline between Russia and the US set up to prevent mid-air collisions.

The statement followed after a US F-18 Super Hornet shot down a Syrian army SU-22 jet on Sunday in the countryside near Raqqa.

Washington said the jet had dropped bombs near US-backed forces but Damascus said the plane was downed while flying a mission against Isis militants.

Russia's Defence Ministry said the suspension of its communication channel with the Americans would begin immediately.

The US did not use its communication channel with Russia ahead of the downing of the Syrian government warplane, the ministry was quoted as saying, accusing the US of a "deliberate failure to ...

Report: No, Trump Isn’t Under Investigation, Despite WaPo Claim…

The Washington Post broke a big story earlier this week claiming that the special counsel, Robert Mueller was investigating President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice.

Once again, this was supposedly based upon 5 ‘anonymous sources’ familiar with the investigation.

If that were true, and the information came out of the special counsel’s office, that would of course be an illegal leak.

But as it turns out with most of these leaks, it wasn’t exactly true, according to this ABC report from justice correspondent Pierre Thomas.

While Mueller’s team will apparently be interviewing senior administration officials to assess the nature of their own communications with Trump regarding the Russia investigation, Thomas says that Mueller has not yet decided to conduct a full-scale investigation and describes this stage of this inquiry as “preliminary.”

“He has not made that momentous decision to go for a full-scale investigation,” according to Thomas.

Thomas also interestingly references the choice facing Mueller as “does he go after the President in the way that James Comey wants him to do?” Strange point and is James Comey having input in....

How a Boy Found His Father's Ghost Waiting in a Vintage Video Game

A deceased father left behind a ghost car in the Xbox game RalliSport Challenge. How his son found it is the most heartwarming video game story you've ever heard.

"Well, when i was 4, my dad bought a trusty XBox. you know, the first, ruggedy, blocky one from 2001. we had tons and tons and tons of fun playing all kinds of games together - until he died, when i was just 6.

i couldnt touch that console for 10 years.

but once i did, i noticed something.

we used to play a racing game, Rally Sports Challenge. actually pretty awesome for the time it came.

and once i started meddling around... i found a GHOST.

literaly.

you know, when a time race happens, that the fastest lap so far gets recorded as a ghost driver? yep, you guessed it - his ghost still rolls around the track today.

and so i played and played, and played, untill i was almost able to beat the ghost. until one day i got ahead of it, i surpassed it, and...

i stopped right in front of the finish line, just to ensure i wouldnt delete it.

Bliss."
