U.S. Begins Returning Asylum Seekers, Expanding Remain in Mexico

The Federal Government has started returning non-Mexican migrants who claim asylum, after illegally entering the United States at the Texas border city of Laredo, back to Mexico. These returns mark the first expansion of the "Remain in Mexico" policy since the U.S. and Mexico brokered a deal to avert additional tariffs being placed on the country.

Customs and Border Protection officials were slated to make the first returns on Tuesday, a Department of Homeland Security official told CBS News. Ten people had been returned so far, according to a Mexican official. This means the U.S. government will now send immigrants who illegally enter the country hoping to claim asylum, mostly from Central America, back to the Mexican border town of Nuevo Laredo in the state of Tamaulipas.

The policy, which is being challenged in court, has been under scrutiny from mass-immigration advocates, Democrats, and those who support open borders. They argue the policy violates international law and puts asylum seekers at risk, especially those who have already subjected themselves to the dangerous trip from South America to the U.S. Southern Border. In an attempt to prevent more asylum seekers from disappearing into the United States as they await their immigration court date, to which approximately 90% do not appear, the policy has come under fire as those who support mass-immigration argue that the conditions in Mexico are not up to par with what is expected for migrants.

According to CBS, by implementing the policy, officially called the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), at the Laredo port of entry, the Trump administration is fulfilling its pledge to expand the program along the entire southern border as part of an effort to deter migrants from Central America. Currently, the policy is also in place at ports of entry in El Paso, Calexico, and San Diego — where it made its debut last December under former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. More than 18,500 asylum seekers have returned from these ports of entry to wait in Mexico for their dates in U.S. courts, according to figures by the Mexican government.

After the deal was brokered, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the "full-blown" expansion of MPP a "big deal" in the government's efforts to curb the flow of migration from Central American countries. In May, apprehensions at the southern border hit a 13-year high. The number of apprehensions in June, however, is expected to decrease significantly because of Mexico's amped-up immigration enforcement and the...

Koch Sucking Congressional Republicans Pass America Last Immigration Bill Overwhelmingly

Congressional Republicans "Bend The Knee" For The Kochs...

The vast majority of Congressional Republicans voted to sell America out to globalism.

Congressional Republicans voted today in favor of H.R. 1044, legislation that would vastly expand the ability of multinational corporations to exploit cheap labor from India and squeeze U.S. workers out of well-paying jobs.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, the Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019 will assist Big Tech and foreign outsourcing companies that have imported immigrants from India by the hundreds of thousands with temporary visas. H.R. 1044 will make it so citizens of India are afforded a whopping 90 percent of the professional employment green cards moving forward.

This helps firms that have abused the temporary green card system and over-flooded the rolls to maximize their profits, as their predatory hiring practices will be kept afloat by this measure. H.R. 1044 will also enable foreign investors to more easily obtain green cards, allowing more rich Chinese investors to become U.S. citizens, which may undermine...

Omar Calls For Advertisers To Boycott Tucker Carlson After He Tells Her Immigration Story

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is tearing into Fox News host Tucker Carlson and calling him racist for telling the truth.

“Probably no person in this country has benefited more from American generosity than Ilhan Omar. Instead of being grateful, though, she’s bitter.

“She hates this country. It says a lot about our current immigration system,” Carlson said in describing how the refugee became a representative,” he said.

“In fact the United States is the kindest, most open-minded place on the country. The U.S. Has done more for other people and receive less in return than any nation in history by five.

“Americans like to help. It makes us feel good. Some of our deepest satisfaction as a country comes from watching penniless immigrants arriving on our shores, buy into our values, and thrive.

“Recall the American dream and nothing makes us prouder. It was in that spirit that a 1992, the United States welcomed 10-year-old Ilhan Omar and her family.

“Omar was born in Somalia, one of the world’s poorest countries, then ruled by a Marxist military dictatorship. When she was six, she and her parents and siblings fled a...

How a Record-Breaking Economy Is Helping Those Who Need It Most

The U.S. economy is in the midst of the longest economic expansion in our history—more than 10 years of consecutive growth.

The climb out of the Great Recession has been prolonged and strengthened by pro-growth policies, such as tax cuts and deregulation.

Rolling back those reforms or burdening workers with new restrictions would present the biggest threats to continued prosperity for American workers.

The strong U.S. economy continues to offer new opportunities to people who have historically been left behind.

Average wages have grown above 3% for 10 straight months—twice as fast as inflation. And since the tax cuts of 2017, wage growth for the poorest 25% of workers has reached post-recession highs of 4.4%.

In the most recent data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the highest-income workers’ wages are growing at a more modest rate, more than a percentage point lower than those of low-wage workers.

June’s unemployment rate remains close to its 50-year low at 3.7%, and the 224,000 jobs created last month is more than double the number needed to keep pace with population growth and demographic change.

For Americans who want a job, they are readily available. June’s employment numbers were particularly good for African Americans, with the rate dropping to 6%, nearing the historic 2018 low of 5.9%. Women, Hispanics, and workers without a college degree are seeing similar trends.

Previously unemployed Hispanic and black working-age women are finding jobs faster than any other demographic group.

Washington politicians don’t have the ability to create jobs or long-run opportunity. When they try, they most often fail. However, as we are seeing today, when Washington takes even a small step back, businesses thrive, and the prosperity is shared with working Americans.

On the other hand, proposals such as a national $15-an-hour minimum wage could wipe out close to all the jobs gains over the past year, according to...

Previously Deported Illegal Alien MS-13 Member Gets 17 For Years for Discussing Racketeering Conspiracy During Prison Calls With Clique Leader

BOSTON – An MS-13 member was sentenced yesterday in federal court in Boston to racketeering conspiracy.

Nelson Cruz Rodriguez Cartagena, a/k/a “Inquieto,” 25, a Salvadoran national illegally residing in Everett, was sentenced to 17 years in prison and three years of supervised release. Rodriguez will be subject to deportation proceedings upon completion of his sentence.

In April 2019, Rodriguez pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to conduct enterprise affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity, commonly referred to as RICO conspiracy. Rodriguez was arrested in Everett after law enforcement determined that he had reentered the United States after having been deported in 2016.

Rodriguez is a full member, or “homeboy,” in MS-13’s Everett Locos Salvatrucha (ELS) clique. On recorded prison calls with a detained ELS clique leader, Rodriguez discussed buying guns for the ELS clique; maintaining and supervising the clique’s marijuana trafficking business; the need to collect dues from clique members; the need to send money to MS-13 leaders in El Salvador due on the 13th of each month; and reporting on the clique’s day-to-day racketeering activities. When the clique leader began to suspect that a member of the ELS clique had cooperated with...

DEVASTATING: Video Shows 'Battery' Trump Was Accused Of Committing by Former Campaign Staffer Alva Johnson

Former Donald Trump campaign staffer Alva Johnson claimed in a lawsuit that Trump traumatized her by "forcibly" kissing her "on the mouth" before a rally in Tampa in 2016.

On Wednesday, Trump's lawyer released video of the interaction showing they both appeared to have air kissed each other on the cheek:

From Politico:

Trump’s attorneys posted the 15-second video online Wednesday and cited it in pleadings filed with a federal judge handling a lawsuit Johnson filed in February claiming trauma from the interaction with Trump. Johnson also claimed that sex and racial discrimination impacted her pay while working as...
