China expert Gordon Chang praises Trump's tariffs: 'The Chinese are now doing things which smell desperate'

China is in a weaker position economically because of President Trump's tariffs which the Chinese are ultimately paying for, Gordon Chang, an expert on the Asian powerhouse, said.

"President Trump has not been deterred and we saw that with this announcement of the last set of tariffs that's going to go on $300 billion worth of goods ... the markets didn't like it but nonetheless, this is something that had to be done," Chang said during Thursday's "Hemmer Time" podcast.

"I think you can say the U.S. is winning because the Chinese are now doing things which smell desperate," he added before noting how China depreciated its currency. By devaluing their currency, Chang argued, the Chinese made their products cheaper for U.S. consumers.

"So, effectively they're bearing President Trump's additional tariffs. So, when Trump says the American consumer is not going to pay, he's correct on that," Chang said.

Gordon Chang is author of "The Coming Collapse of China" and an expert on the nation. He believes that China's economy is getting worse as Trump imposes additional tariffs and challenges the nation's bad actions in the international economy.

Through Trump's tariffs, China has started losing its status as the world's factory floor as currency depreciation has forced companies to take their factories out of the communist nation, Chang said.

Chang's comments offered a markedly different take on the trade war with China as many pundits worried that the president's tariffs would act as a tax on American consumers. But according to Chang, the president had to act after "years" of Chinese trade behavior "markedly" deteriorating.

"It's not honoring the obligations that it has not only to the United States but to the rest of the international community," Chang told Fox News host Bill Hemmer. "[Chinese president] Xi Jinping believes in a state-dominated economy where there's very little room for foreigners ... he actually believes in a semi-Maoist model...

Average # Of Deaths Per Day In The USA

CDC: People With Dirt On Clintons Have 843% Greater Risk Of Suicide

ATLANTA, GA – According to a report from the Centers for Disease Control released on Thursday, people with inside, compromising knowledge of Bill and Hillary Clinton’s financial and political dealings are 843% more likely to commit suicide.

“We’ve never seen a single risk factor cause a spike of this magnitude,” a CDC spokesperson told reporters. “Interestingly, in spite of their increased suicide risk, people with dirt on the Clintons rarely show any warning signs of suicide, and they never leave a suicide note.”

Remarking about how abnormal it is, the spokesman again stressed the significance of the data.

“Therefore, we advise any American with detrimental information about Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, or the Clinton Foundation to forget about it as quickly as possible to avoid a greatly increased probability of taking your own life,” he cautioned.

“And—I swear—that’s all we know.”

South Africa: Up to 1000 dogs poisoned per week

As many as 1 000 dogs are poisoned in South Africa every week, says Dr Gerhard Verdoorn, director at the country's Griffon Poison Information Centre.

On Wednesday evening, some 40 dogs were poisoned in the mainly white area of Florida, Roodepoort. “The poison that is used is very potent – around 97 percent of animals that are poisoned die,” Verdoorn told News24.

“It’s believed that this pesticide is smuggled in from Zimbabwe and then sold by small local vendors in [black] townships. The substance is initially made in China and is currently illegal to be sold in South Africa.”

Cora Bailey, director of Community Led Animal Welfare (CLAW), who also to live in Florida, confirmed Wednesday’s mass poisoning to News24.

“This has been going on for years,” Bailey explained. “It is a massive problem. This poison is being sold everywhere.” This particular poison is being smuggled into the country from Zimbabwe, she said.

Bailey added: “Over the last couple of months there has been an average of two dogs treated for poisoning a day and these are just the ones who make it to us alive.” Bailey told capetownetc.com that the number of dogs being poisoned in South Africa has experienced a marked increase.
