Goose eggs: No climate doomsday warning has come true
On the eve of a “global climate strike,” a new report revealed that none of the global warming doomsday predictions of the past 50 years have come true.“Modern doomsayers have been predicting climate and environmental disaster since the 1960s. They continue to do so today,” said the analysis from the Competitive Enterprise Institute shared with Secrets.
“None of the apocalyptic predictions with due dates as of today have come true,” it added.
The report cites 30 predictions made by experts, government scientists, and global leaders, including former Vice President Al Gore and Britain’s Prince Charles.
“More than merely spotlighting the failed predictions, this collection shows that the makers of failed apocalyptic predictions often are individuals holding respected positions in government and science,” said authors Myron Ebell and Steven J. Milloy.
“While such predictions have been and continue to be enthusiastically reported by a media eager for sensational headlines, the failures are typically not revisited,” they added.
Some examples:
- 1967 — Stanford University expert Paul Erlich predicted “time of famines” in 1975.
- 1971 — A top NASA expert predicted an “ice age” by 2021.
- 1988 — It was predicted that the Maldives would be under water by last year.
- 2008 — Gore said the Arctic would be free of ice by 2013.
- 2009 — Charles said there was just 96 months left to save the world.

ANOTHER ILLEGAL ALIEN CHARGED WITH RAPE IN MARYLAND ‘SANCTUARY COUNTY’
According to charging documents, Josue Gomez-Gonzalez picked up a female friend from her home on September 10.
The two then purchased a bottle of Hennessey and drove to a park in Gaithersburg where police say Gomez-Gonzalez sexually assaulted the woman in the back seat of his car.
Gomez-Gonzalez then took the woman back to his home and sexually assaulted her on his bed, charging documents say.
Gomez-Gonzalez has been charged with two counts of second-degree rape. If convicted, he faces up to 50 years behind bars.
FOX 5’s Ike Ejiochi reports Gomez-Gonzalez is at least the ninth undocumented immigrant charged with rape or sex abuse in the county since July.
